Overall the most pleasant airline for the money I have used 5 airlines in 6 months several different locations across the US my time spent on the Southwest flights was better than the rest. fair price and great service

Southwest is a great airline to fly with. I love their flexibility, and not feeling nickel and dimed. The only bitter part is not being able to pick your seats beforehand. I currently love flying SW because I have little children so we get to board early. But when they get older, I don't know if I'll stick with SW.

The last time I flew Southwest not good. Going & coming we're rainy days. My luggage was left out in the rain soaking everything inside. Everything had to be washed & dried. The contents of my luggage was thoroughly soaked.

Fares are reasonable when you consider that there are no baggage fees. Employees are generally very friendly and helpful. This is our first choice when we fly. We've taken close to 100 flights on Southwest and only once was there any sort of delay.

Good experience. I fly only twice a year.Southwest has best rates with no extras charged. Any disappointment I have would be with any of the airlines pertaining to the narrow aisles which is ridiculous adding more seating. My first flight was in1969. Big big difference in space and even friendliness of flight attendants.

Southwest flight to and from New Orleans the week before Christmas. No issues whatsoever. Flights were on time and employees were fantastic. I also love that I do not have to pay extra for my seat selection or luggage.

Rarely have any problem with Southwest. They are courteous, helpful and usually add a little levity to the flight. On the rare occasion where I have had a problem, they were quick to find a resolution.

sometimes the two free bag s is NOt worth the drama of having sucky middle seat.. unless you pay 2x more for business class and get on first, you are guaranteed middle seat. No assistance from flight attendants.. and they know that the two ppl sitting there are not moving to you let in... never happens at Alaska. if you are not flying business class or free, not worth the drama

My sister and I flew to Georgia when we were younger and it was our first time flying ever. The flight attendants and crew was so nice to help us figure out how to get baggage and where to find it. It was also so clean and they kept checking on us to make sure we were doing good!

We choose Southwest because they had direct flights from Baltimore to San Diego International. We Drove 4 HOURS to get this flight on April 26th ( we booked it Dec 27 2018) We booked a hotel at the airport who let us check in early... After we put the hotel on a credit card, our flight was cancelled an hour later.. Our confirmation number was OBDF4P. We literally had to book a another flight which had 3 stops. I could have done that from our Airport in Wilkes Barre which is 20 30min from my house...Sorry Southwest, An Airline of your reputation could have done better.... We lost the money for the hotel...

We chose Southwest Airlines for our Honeymoon because of they had great prices to Baltimore. Our flight attendants were really fun and even sang. Their website is easy to navigate and I like their Low Fare Calendar. It makes it easy to find the best dates for affordable flights. They also offer great options for one-way flights.

I always look for Southwest flights first. Their employees are the best. I love the “Bags fly free”. The boarding gates are not always the closest, but worth the walk. Flying is not fun anymore but Southwest does it best. My wife has an emotional support animal and they accommodate her very well.

Good- Southwest has inexpensive and frequent flights with the best frequent flyer program in the industry. Bad- Their planes have not changed in 2 decades with no in seat entertainment, no AC plugs, and no USB ports for charging phones.

With southwest I my flights pricing is always reasonable and their are no hidden costs. The flight attendants are mostly friendly and helpful. My luggage has only been lost once and they delivered it to my home the next day. My suitcase has never been damaged. If I have a choice I always fly Southwest.

I love using Southwest because I know if my plans change, I don’t have to pay huge fees to alter my travel plans. For example, we booked a flight to Charleston, SC, and the next day, the fares were cheaper. We could cancel and rebook at the lower fee, and the difference remains in my account for another flight.

I cxled my flt, rcvd a link indicating I cxled my flt but WN wud not recognize the automated response thus I lost my funds. I spent 18 yrs in trvl industry, I wud NVR no show a flt. W/N 2 mos, I cxled my mom flt, requesting refund she is in her 70's, assisted living, disabled- a month ago, "no response" yet from WN! This is twice, costing me $500. I've always flown them. Took Jet Blue to the Bahamas a couple days ago, very accommodating.

Southwest is a reliable carrier. I would rate them higher if they had assigned seating. I prefer to get on the plane when I choose to with the sure knowledge that my seat is reserved. Their staff are wonderful and service otherwise is great.

Southwest Airlines policy of one free checked bag has been a lifesaver for us when we have traveled with two children under 2. The staff were very professional but kind and friendly with the kids, and very understanding with some of our extra needs that popped up here and there from traveling with young kids.

The lines to check a bag are always very short and the service is always very speedy. All the employees are very willing to help with anything! The prices are a lot lower which makes traveling at the last minute very convenient. It is not assigned seating which can be a little frustrating at times, but very rarely does it ever become a problem.

If you're willing to forego aesthetics & comfort (hello 1970's!) for a good deal and 2 FREE checked bags then Southwest Airlines is for you. Remember, you get what you pay for. I would suggest weighing out your circumstance. I'm single & without kids so schedule and price is why I would choose a Southwest flight over "comfort" (are any economy seats comfortable?) or aesthetics. However, my sister and her family (husband & 3 rowdy boys) will always travel Southwest solely for the 2 free checked bags and decent prices.

I used to fly Southwest all the time. As I have gotten older the one problem I have with the airline is not being able to choose my seat. I don't like lines and I like to be the last one to board. I would go back to Southwest tomorrow if I could pick my seat.
