I love that there is no assigned seating. Although, I wish that the section you board wasn't based by when you check in. I have long legs and wasn't willing to pay extra for a emergency row. I checked in exactly 24 hours before the flight, but still was in the B boarding.

We love Southwest! We have been customers for many years and have had a companion pass for both my husband and myself. This definitely makes traveling affordable. I'm not a fan of the open seating but I use early bird check in when I'm not going to be able to check in when it becomes available Early bird check in has definitely helped my anxiety about the open seating process.

excellent. i like how they always have good deals. they allow you to take a carry on and a free bag. i flew other airlines and they charge you to take an extra bag. i like they give you a whole can of soda. customer service is always excellent. i always have a great experience.

Very appreciative of southwest airlines! We missed one of their flights due to a delayed flight from a different airline. Technically, they didn't have to do anything for us, but they got us on the next flight within minutes and without any hassle. I appreciate their cheap pricing as well.

My favorite airline in the world. Not because they provide the most comfort or snacks, but because they are always affordable, have free luggage included, and I can cancel and get my money back whenever I have a change in plans. I have a credit card with them and fly with them all the time.

Even though it is just transportation and little more, they are the best airline for my needs. They save your money for future flights if you can't make your flight--that is the most important differentiator they have and very important. They are reliable transportation--on-time most of the time, and good fares. I also like their bonus program.

They have great service and very cheap flight. Also love the flexibility. We recently planned a large trip down to Belize but we had to cancel last minute and they were willing to refund us our money which is something no one seems to do anymore.

Southwest is cheap, especially because you can check bags for free. If you can't make one of your flight they will save the money for you so you can use it towards another flight. NO other companies do that for you. They make planning trips so easy. It is hard for me to want to fly with anyone else.

I have traveled with Southwest a handful of times and not had a bad experience. The staff are always courteous and helpful, I've never had a cancelled or delayed flight, and the free checked bags are a dream. Their free miles rewards system is pretty nice too! Whenever possible, I book with Southwest!

I really like Southwest! They are usually cheaper than other airlines and they have a couple great benefits that come with the basic price of a ticket. I love being able to check two bags for free and that I can choose a seat once I get on the plane. This makes traveling with kids much easier! The only negative is Southwest usually has more delayed or cancelled flights than any other airline I fly on. However, with that, they also are very helpful getting issues resolved when they come up.

Flow with Southwest a couple times when I was flying back and forth for summer sales. They were great each and every time. The staff was always very accommodating and they make long flights bearable by offering complimentary snacks and drinks.

You get what you pay for using this airline. Flights are really cheap and great if you are just going for a short trip with a carry on. But I dislike that you can't pick your seats and have to pay for baggage. Really hard to travel with a family that way.

Our flight back home was canceled the only options we were given were much later times with multiple layovers. When we called it took 2 and a half hours to speak with a rep who failed to fix the reservation. So, we had to call back a second time and again wait on hold over 2 hours. Then they did not honor the "early bird" we paid for and we got bumped all the way to the back of the line on the new flight. Terrible service, very high likely hood your flight is canceled. Service is horrible. I have no positives about this airline. It is trash. Never fly with them again ....my advice book with a major airline southwest is not worth the headache.

Southwest is a great airline but nothing special. I feel that they are average with everything they do. They are moderately cheap, have good deals and okay customer service. My past flight with them was good, no hiccups or mishaps, just not my favorite experience I have had on a plane.

Upon my arrival back to Reagan National Airport in Washington DC I requested a wheelchair excort and the young came on the plane to excort me to the arrival terminal on the way she said where I'm going is too far and she can't take me. She took me outside to the departure terminal and I told her she cannot leave me there and she went and got her supervisor instead of asking me to find out what happened he came out and immediately started yelling3 at me and waving his badge in my face telling me take a picture if I want he is the supervisor. I have multiple sclerosis and can't walk without a crutch and I felt helpless at that moment because the supervisor was telling me they push us in the chair as a courtesy and it's not their job. I have a video of him waving his badge in my face. I went to the airport to report what happened and left my contact information and no one called me to resolve that situation so I decided to make sure I'm never treated that way again I will never fly one any airline alone.

All was good except for the "open seating". Once we were allowed to board, the only seats available were the middle seats. So we were not able to sit beside each other even though there were plenty of seats.

They are good with luggages, a passenger is allowed up to 100lbs check in plus a carry on. What I don't appreciate is the one little pack of pretzels approximately 2 ounces, they can make that pretzel at least 8ounces or more.

I have flown southwest a few times and never had a problem except for how the seats are not assigned. I do not like that especially on a long flight I feel like the seats are very small. If you are looking for cheap fares this is the airline but if your looking for comfort take your money elsewhere

I had a bad experience with a cancelled flight. Things happen, and I understand that flights get cancelled, but I received ZERO help in finding an alternate route, and had to run around in circles and call customer service quite a few times before I could find someone to help me, and even then, it left me stranded and sleeping in the airport for 18 hours.

Southwest has not changed boarding for many years. You can pay extra to have your boarding pass printed ahead of the normal. but I do not understand how you will still get a "B" boarding pass. You pay extra for this service.

I have tweeted my experience and the social media rep doesn’t even know how to understand and address the issue. I boarded my originating flight quite anxious given I was returning from my fathers funeral. Our agent alerted me to forgetting to consolidate my bags. I asked for her help to hold a coffee so I could put my bag inside my other bag. Her look and rude attitude was completely uncalled for. My apology no smile and horrific service from what was my favorite airline. Checkout my tweet @pattyhager. Your agent couldn’t get reply with a drink coupon. And guess what I fly u again tomorrow! How can u treat loyal passengers in pain like this!

My experience used to be good but I no longer fly with Southwest due to the high fares, however the good thing about this airline is that there is no charge to change your itinerary if you are going to same destination and same price that you previously paid.
