When I first got my Fitbit I loved all the features on it. After some time I noticed that my charge would track steps when I clapped my hands. Then after a year and a half the band broke to where I can't wear it any longer. I will buy another eventually

Company does not support Android devices. During the year 2017 there were a total of 4 Android devices added to their compatible devices list, all of which came from companies that have competing wearable devices. Had a Charge HR that broke after less than 6 months of use, got the Charge 2 since the HR was discontinued. Device does not work with my phone because it is an unsupported device (LG G6). Fitbit has completely stopped developing LG phones after the G3, released in 2014. If your phone is not Samsung or Apple, you are probably one of several customers that has a device that is not supported. There is the outside chance that it may still pair, but functionality will not be complete. Contact customer service, you will get a run around, complete with email after email with copy and pasted answers from their guidebook, just the same as you will find on their message boards. These message boards are FULL of people openly complaining about the supported devices and their lack of development, but the only thing being done is more copy and paste replies, no actual development. Buyer beware, from this viewpoint it is an overpriced toy with no support, regardless of how great they think their customer service is.

I really like Fitbit when I used it, but I don't use it anywhere since I'm not hardcore about getting steps in every day. I have a hard time wearing things on my wrists, so that's why I stopped using it.

I love my fitbit watch! I use it often, my only issue is that sometimes it struggles to connect via bluetooth. Other than that it is a great tool to keep track of my fitness goals.

Fitbits stop working for no reason or they crack and break and trying to get them fixed through customer service is a joke. They tell us to try something to get a fitbit that wouldnt sync to sync with my phone to see if it was my husbands phone that was the problem then the next time we had a problem they sent us to a specialist department to see if we would get a replacement because what the one person told us to do might have voided the warranty since it showed we synced it to a different account even though we unsynced from my account within 5 minutes of trying what they told us to do. They keep having defective devices and we and many of our friends with fitbit are out hundreds of dollars. Not everyone has hundreds of dollars to keep replacing defective products. Fitbit really needs to figure out what is more important..money or their customers. I understand companies need money but if they would have better communication and admit when their products are defective and do something about it thwn they would have more loyal and happy customers.

I like the trackers, but they have some serious issues with the wrist bands. I have the flex for over a year. Every few months the strap broke in the same location. I recently got a Charge HR. Less then 2 months and parts fell off. FitBit was amazing at getting me a replacement and FAST! I just do not think that a fitness tracker should fall apart so fast or easily. Functionally it is great. Customer service is great. They just need to make them to last.

I like my Charge a lot, however, after trying several pedometers, NONE of them are completely accurate! You have to be swinging your arm as you walk to get it to count. I have a daughter in a wheelchair and when I am pushing her, it rarely calculates. I've heard the same from friends with strollers. Makes it hard to have an accurate count.

I have a FitBit Surge. This is the second FitBit I have owned. I love the device but recording daily food is weak. When you record food it should also recap daily amounts for vitamins and minerals.

Bought 2 FB Charges in Febuary Had the FItbit Charge and the strap started coming apart from the main body of the Charge and allowed moisture to get inside (Around JUNE). I have since switched to another brand. My wifes did the same thing (Around August) and allowed moisture in it but she returned it and upgraded to the FB chargeHR and seems fine for now.

I bought a Flex about a month ago and had trouble getting the app to work. Finally got that worked out and last week it quit responding to anything. I emailed the company and was told to charge the battery. Had already done that but did it again. Still nothing. No lights ~ no anything. Emailed them again and days have passed with no response. Not very happy at this point. Have had other trackers that were much better and didn't cost as much.

I've lost 75 lbs using my Fitbit Zip, but now it's starting to lose steps and miles, compared to my smartphone app, and we know it's the Zip because we've mapped out my walking route using a full GPS. Very distressing. I've walked so much more than my Fitbit says.

I would give better review, but the metal in the fitbit charge hr is making my wrist break out. It's frustrating. Also, that it's not water proof, and I take it off for showering because I don't want to chance a $150 accident that leaves my fitbit unusable. Due to the rashes I get, I have stopped wearing / using my fitbit charge hr.

I received a fit bit flex for Christmas last year. (that would be 9 months ago). I had to get a new band for it, which was not a problem, fit bit sent one right out free of charge! (thank you). The problem came when in about May it stopped holding a charge. It would charge well, I could wear it for a day and then it would completely die on me! Can't charge it, I did follow all the steps to clean and make sure the charger was working properly. I am not able to return it or exchange it at the store they bought it at. What to do?? Very disappointed!

I really liked Fitbit unti l about a week ago when they changed their website and reduced the features that made them popular with users. Then on top of that they changed the main site that displays daily stats (called the "dashboard") to make it far less useful and very inconvenient. They have received thousands and thousands of negative emails and posts regarding these things. It is clear that once they sell a user a device they no longer care about that user. They consider that user a drain on their resources and something to be kicked to the curb now that they have the user's money for the device. A business model like this is bound to fail. Most investors have not discovered yet what Fitbit is doing but sooner or later they will. Fitbit is playing a losing game, depending on new purchasers to keep them afloat while getting rid of existing users. Do not buy into their game by purchasing a Fitbit device because you too will become disillusioned very quickly. Do yourself a favor and buy another company's device instead. Current users have lost health data they have logged for years - Fitbit deleted it. Hard to believe but, they did, they claimed these people took up too much of their sever space and that was that.

I purchased my first FitBit Flex over a year ago. I enjoyed tracking my steps, sleep, blood pressure, glucose, heart rate, and then journaling about the results, so I could report to my doctor, since I am a diabetic. Back in March of this year, I invested in the Surge, looking forward to the additional features, such as the watch, heart rate, miles, etc. What I didn't know, was that FitBit was discontinuing Journaling, Blood Pressure, Glucose and Heart rate, on the web site. I upgraded, on the website, so they had the opportunity to inform me of their decision to eliminate them. That way, I could have returned my Surge and invested in something else, or stayed with the Flex. I have asked them over the past month for a refund, since I do not really care about winning badges and competing with others. No response about the exchange. I'm getting an Apple Watch and suggesting everyone else do the same, unless you like winning badges and competing with people by paying $49.00 a year.

I have had 3 FitBit devices and was about to buy an Aria scale when they suddenly dropped a number of manual tracking tabs that were very important to me and a number of other users - heart rate, BP, journal, blood sugar levels, etc. These entries are critical to those that have medical problems. The company has been planning this "upgrade" for a year, but gave only 2-3 weeks notice to users and not all users received the notice according to posts on the company web site. There have been many complaints registered, some of which have been deleted when they become too critical. Instead of giving me statistics that are critical to my health, FitBit gives me cutesy icons to mark my progress. The last one was my Ferris Wheel badge for climbing 75 flights of stairs in one day. Now that is a really helpful symbol for maintaining my health!! Right now I have a very expensive pedometer. Not pleased at all.

I think the fitbit band design could be better. The clasp that holds it to your arm unsnaps for me all the time I lost one fitbit at work and the customer service replaced it. The new bands seem to also be breaking at the same spot. I guess from taking the actual bit out and charging it the rubber breaks. I like the way the actual fitbit works does give me motivation to exercise. Just wish i bought one of the better bands for your arm. I looked into buying new bands but they didn't make a better quality band for this fitbit I would need to invest another $149.

So far I like Fitbit. Need to test that it's really accurate. It's not an easy band to close on your wrist. Not sure who decided that this was an easy one for "normal" people to deal with the closure of the band.

Had my Flex since April, worked great until about 3 wks ago, It skips days at a time, will not log my treadmill everyday, just random days. I was told by support all was working well and that I would need to manually log my activity. Don't need Fitbit it I have to log myself.

it's OK... it's only designed for people losing weight. those of us that are trying to gain lean mass and keep up with our vitals are not getting the best out of this device. also if you stand still but are active with your arms you get false reading for the pedometer. other than not tracking gains, it's a A+ device.

I love the compatibility of the Fit Bit (mine is the fitbit charge) with MyfitnessPal. It makes it so easy to set goals and attain them. The reason I give a rating of 7 is the design of the band, I'v had three replacements in 8 months due to the band coming apart from the face of the device.

I have the surge and I have a love hate relationship with it. I truly believe it is a motivator but I have issues. One, it doesn't track all my steps and two, when doing a challenge it never calculates my steps correctly. Would I buy it again, yes, but it needs some improvements.

My fitbit was so inaccurate. I would do a two hour workout and it would tell me I was active for 5 minutes. How is that possible? I two hour high intensity workout and active for only 5 minutes. I also noticed that when tracking my steps for the day, it wouldn't update right away so my steps were wrong. I was seriously bummed with this, I was so excited to get one and then after a few months it just was never accurate to my steps or my activity for the day. I have friends who post their fit bit updates and theirs seemed legit and right! Maybe mine was just the dud that didn't work right but yeah, my experience wasn't good. Just a waste of $.

I bought the surge. Wanted a running watch, but wife convinced me to get this. Battery life sucks. Hell GPS mode is useless, the battery will only last about 3.5 hours. The step counter is nice, but just moving you arm in day to day routine counts as steps. If I could do it over again I would of bought the tomtom.

I bought my fitbit charge from Amazon back in January this year. Had it 4 months and it quit charging. I wrote to Amazon and had a new (refurbished) fitbit on my doorstep in less than 24 hours. I was very impressed, however, the new (refurbished) fitbit was not tracking accurately and it did not come with the dongel to sinc to my computer so I have a useless fitbit with the wrong time and data. Contact Amazon or fitbit you say?..... I did and got no reply what so ever. Will not promote fitbit ever as I am out $130. Really, 4 months, I think it should last longer than that. Very disappointed customer.

Bought the Fitbit Force, found it counted steps while I was riding in my truck. My arm was stationary and we were on a smooth surface and my truck doesn't have alignment or shock issues so there wasn't excessive bouncing but it was still ticking off steps. What's the point? Then I got the rash. I took it back and upgraded to a Samsung Gear. I'm now on my 2nd with them. I'll stick with them or a Garmin perhaps but I doubt I'll join the Fitbit family again.
