This is the worst experience I have ever had. I had an appointment for internet and direct tv services to be installed between 9-11 am. No one ever called or showed. I have been on the phone for over two hours and I still don’t have an answer. I have been transferred over 7 times to different department and no one will give me an answer. I can’t even believe the lack of service I have received. I took off of work for this appointment. It’s 5 hours later and I still have no answers other than I need to reschedule the appointment.

I first subscribed to DirecTv in 1997. Got the SAT-B2 And even installed it myself. For many years, DirecTv was an awesome company. Key word, was. Since the merger with AT&T, I have the total opposite view. The way it's ran, total garbage. Not so much the people who I've had to speak to throughout the time since the merger. They are just doing their job. Just a totally crappy company. I would more than likely go back if DirecTv goes back to the way it was.

Unhappy after they partnered with AT&T! Way too often lost signal, new remote is not user friendly. Way too expensive for what they offer! Many times I miss the end of a movie or show because I lose the signal. I supposedly have fast internet but suffer through buffering way too often! I can’t wait for my contract to end so I can break up with you!

One star is being generous. This company's customer service is terrible the service on the TV is terrible. They can never find our account for some reason even though we've called and tried to have it fixed about 5 times. It's also a huge process to order movies, it never works on our phones although it says it went through at which point we have to call and wait on the phone for about a half hour to an hour while we are transferred 20 times. Not to mention we have hundreds of channels and almost every single one are infomercials! We will be switching service asap

I would give negative stars if it were possible. This has by far been the worst company I have ever dealt with. The customer service has been horrible. By the way, when you sign up for a 2yr contract and are given special 24 month promotions, make sure you add on a new service at the 12 month mark or they will take away those 24 month promotions. Makes tons of sense doesn't it!? I do not recommend this company to ANYONE!

We have been direct tv customers since 1996. They have provided excellent service up until the merger with AT&T. Since then the service has deteriorated. Pricing is unpredictable and customer service has gone down hill. We are on the verge of cancelling this service. Very sad to see a good company to down hill because they partnered with a bad company.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Try to speak to a supervisor you get the run around. I just wanted internet but they told me I had to answer questions about my TV viewing. I said "I don't want TV. Let me speak to a supervisor" after 35 minutes I said that I would take my business elsewhere. Then she tried once more to speak to her supervisor who would not speak to me but told her to quote me $1000/month for internet only. AT&T ones them. Thinking about switching my cell service since this experience ...READ THE REVIEWS AND DON'T SIGN UP WITH DIRECT TV...

I am 43 years old and have to say Directv has the worst customer service I have ever experienced to date. I signed up at 2:30pm on a Monday and cancelled everything by 8:00pm. Couldn't understand their representatives because of such thick accents and they put me on hold for 20 min. at a time. No one could help me with the technical problems with watching online and several times got disconnected after 30-40 min. and had to start all over again. I asked for a supervisor and the representative ignored my request just talking over me. I'm truly surprised they are still in business.

They lie..customer service is snotty, they are expensive..they do not try to solve problems or they solve the problem you think, then find out it’s another lie!! Read the fine print before you sign anything.. don’t let the sales person just say..basically what your signing is this... because it is not just what he says. Always remember they lie because they make commission and once you are locked in they won’t budge! Worst experience with tv I’ve ever had! When contract up, they have lost me for sure!!!

I had been with Direct tv for 4 years and with At&t even longer so when my services fell out of promotion I called to see how they could help me lower my bill so that I would not have to leave them all they said was they could help me with the most of $50 for dish and $10 off of my internet and that was all they could do so I canceled my services with them and went to Dish tv where I had more customer service and better options.

We loved NFL Ticket. Prices seem to keep increasing and we always had to watch our bill closely for errors. Just quit service as they would not give us the promotional rate after being with them for 4 years.

Horrible custmor service only thing they want is your money . I cancelled it because I was not able to watch FIFA world cup soccer. I called them 5 times every time some stupid person picks up the phone who has no knowledge or desire to fix anything. when I cancelled they charged me $200 to break the contract even though that was their fault. Now they are saying I don't call enough times and when I called it was because my internet was slow. Stupid liars. Get hulu much cheaper.

I was lied to from the beginning. I was asked how many recievers I needed, I said 5, he said ok, when the installer came out, he set up 3 recievers. I called and was told I could get 2 more, but the 5th would cost me 100 dollars. I said no, they said I could get it at a much lower cost, then when the next installer came out, I found out I couldnt get anymore. I told them to get this crap out of my house. I will not use direct or will not recommend it to anyone.

I was told my bill would be $105 a month, auto pay, select pay with phone and internet, since November 14, my service have been interrupted 5 times, I have your customer service supervisor stating my name had a * at the end of my name so that is the reason by bill could not be combined together, "that's not my problem, that is a error on your business behalf. There was recently a snow storm in Chicago on the 7th and since then I have been out without Satellite TV with direct TV. I called numerous times and the associates,IT support team were rude and unhelpful. I final spoke to a manger in their preferred client service team and was told the earliest I could be seen was the 27th . I was told someone would call me to escalate the schedule at 9am, Monday the 12th. At this point there has been no one. Direct TV sales a bag of rubbish and lies. The main problem that I have with DirecTV is that the system does not work if there is even a mild thunderstorm south of you. No signal, no coverage and this is very critical in any location that is prone to sever storms or tornados. YOU WILL NOT HAVE SERVICE!!!! I have a system that is a year old and because of the poor service I am ready to switch back to cable. Another issue I have is the mention faster internet speeds cause it will free up bandwidth. Except that On Demand and recorder playback still use the Internet. If the commercials look to good to be true......they are.

THEY CHEAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! We signed up for a $59 a month service. After a few month the raise it to over $109. Three different times we have called to argue with them to remove fees we did not sign up for and they went down to around $60. My wife went through all of this on the phone with them 4 months ago and I got my building today and our back up at $105 a month.

Good luck returning equipment. My mother was moved to memory care so we discontinued her service. We waited 3 weeks for the return boxes to arrive. The deadline is 30 days. After calling in (again) we were told that we needed to find some boxes and take the equipment to UPS with proof that we are POA, ID's, and the account information. We'll be charged for the equipment since out won't arrive by the deadline but once it's received they will remove the charges. Do I trust them??!! It's enough to make me want to cancel our subscription as well. Really despicable customer (non) service.

Biggest mistake I ever made was switching to directtv. From not getting premium channels free like I was told to incorrect bills to live stream g mot working on laptops. The directtv app does not work on Windows 10 platform. Customer service loyalty rep really does care. You get a "sorry" and theres nothing we can do for you. So here i pay for a service i can not use. No credit, no nothing.

My direct tv box broke. After being on line with them for a while (they wouldn't listen to what I was telling just kept asking same questions over that did not apply) they finally agreed box was broken. They said they would mail me a new box for $19.95. This is their equipment that broke not mine. I am under contract with them and can not cancel but in order to use it for remainder of contract I have to pay $19.95 because their box broke. They did say it was just shipping and handling but it looks like to me they should be responsible for providing working equipment.

Been with DIRECTV for 21 years. Our bill has gone up to 6x what it was when we started. We never got a free system, ours was in the old day. $600 for system and $200 to install. Then, friends and family with service for only 3-4 years get substantial bill credits to not cancel service yet with 21 years of loyalty they tell us we don't qualify for anything and the best they can do is $5 off per month.

We are due a two year equipment upgrade as part of our service agreement. After an hour long conversation for a simple upgrade, the order was wrong. They tried to talk me into that equipment so they wouldn't have to modify the order. When I refused they cancelled the order and said I would have to start over. I complained on social media. The social media agent contacted me. Over 24 hours later I am still verifying information with the FOURTH person. No closer to resolution. Consider yourself warned.

I really was deeply in Love with Direct TV. I had the premier package, all the premier channels, 4 rooms of service. Then Heartbreak struck. I called one day and requested a HD box/DVR. I was told even if I paid the extra monthly charge for the box , I couldn't get the upgrade unless I signed a new two year agreement. here I am with all of these High Def channels and no high Def. I'm not happy with Direct TV at all. My price is now up to $120.00 per month and I don't have any movie channels. Half of the time the signal is bouncing in and out so it can't be watched on local channels. I called for new remotes as mine don't work anymore. I have one that will change channels and was told to go buy universal remotes. The box doesn';t record right, sometimes 2 shows at once. This ad even says I shouldn't pay more than 92.00. As the article says, as long as your " special offer" is in effect, DTV is affordable. Be prepared for sticker shock as you fulfill the remainder of your contract. Before I contracted with them, I compared their advertised regular prices with the ones I was paying to DISH and they were very low. I figured I could afford DTV after the introductory offer expired. I learned that those advertised regular prices were much lower than what they actually charged. Buyer-beware. DTV made me miss my DISH As soon as my contract's up, I'm going back.

We were told that DirecTV goes out rarely and that On Demand is easy to use. None of that is true. It goes out rather it's raining or sunny and On Demand is impossible to use.
