I kind of got it by accident. The button is easy to use, though most of the time I have trouble remembering to take the portable thing with me when I go out. Actually on one occasion I didn't realize that it was not charged and they called everyone to try and find me.

I asked a lot of people for recommendations and Medical Guardian came up, so I got it.Thank goodness I haven't had to use it. The button is heavy and when I try to push it to get in touch with them it's a bit hard to press. However when I lean over and accidentally bump it against something it goes off. I can't figure that out. When I was able to get to them they were very nice and helped me answer a lot of questions I had. It's a rather convenient service.

I live by myself so I needed to have some kind of back up that could look after me if there was ever a problem. Since they had all the things I needed, I got it. I've used it once when I had a medical problem. I haven't had any problems with it, though sometimes it takes a little time for me to get to an operator. It's also more expensive than what I expected it would be... Still, it's there if I need it, it's just reassuring to know that I have a way to contact somebody if I need to.

I happened to come across them while looking around and, after calling and getting all the information, I went ahead with it. Since I'm home 90% of the time, it just sits there in case I need it. I've never had to use it but I'm sure it's all fine. The one time I called to ask a question they answered right away and I got the information that I needed. My biggest problem with it is that, even though I can take it with me wherever I go, I never remember to actually bring the little thing with me.

My daughter was the one that decided to get this. I've never had to use it, but one time I set it off accidentally and they were very helpful. They contacted me immediately to see what the problem was. They even told me how to reset the alarm and everything.

I got it because it could go all over the place with me, I didn't have to stay at home for it to work. My one concern is that the button is too heavy to wear around my neck, so I put it on a belt loop instead. I do need a watch or wristband, which I think they mentioned in the sales pitch they gave me. Having it on my belt loop just makes it go off by mistake a lot. Still, whenever that happens they respond every time and have been very polite.

They've been very responsive. My cord came out of the wall, so it was not working, and they called me and asked me to plug it back in when I didn't even know it was out, so that shows that they are on top of what's going on. It was my daughters choice to get it for me, and I just take it with me wherever I go when I go out.

I had to have the wristband replaced because it fell apart. Every time I have talked to them, though, they've been most cooperative, so I have no quarrel with them. I'm just glad I haven't had to use it, because I try to be very careful. As far as I know it's very good. My daughter helped me to decide on it, and I wear it every day.

I didn't really decide on Medical Guardian; my daughter did, and this was the only one we really looked into. I have to use it often, because the device that I hang around my neck when I go on my walk goes off on its own sometimes. We have notified them about that, and they were going to send another unit so that we could see if it is just this particular unit, but I haven't heard anything more. Otherwise I have no complaints at all. Everybody's always been very considerate and tried to help. It's comforting to have it. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I did a lot of research online on different companies before settling on them. I've never had to use it, but I test it every month or so, including when I'm out of state. On a couple of occasions it has taken a while for them to pick up. I don't really like that you can't put the button on a different lanyard or cord to put it around the neck. There's no way to attach it to anything else.

Thank you for the review. Regarding your pendant, you should be able to put it on another lanyard, though you may need to cut the old one off to do so. I had read about them in an advertising and since the price seemed right, I got it. Typically I just wear the necklace all the time while I'm at home. When I leave, I wear the little bracelet thing and put the little base unit in my purse as well. I also have one of them on me whenever I take a shower. I haven't had to use it but I'm glad I have it. What I didn't realize when I bought it was that the only way to talk or hear them was through base unit. That could be a problem if I happen to fall out in the yard or somewhere out of range from the unit. I don't think that's a good set up...

With regards to how your Mobile Guardian would work if you fall out in the yard with the mobile base out of speaking range, you would still be able to get the help you need so long as you are within 350 feet of your mobile base. If our operators are unable to hear you, they will assume that an emergency is occurring and proceed with your predetermined emergency plan. My nephew decided to get this for me. He came with his wife to spend some time with me and he just told me he had gotten something for me in the mail. He told me what it was and that I needed to wear it every day. He didn't really force me to wear it, I just started doing it, and I'm glad that I did. I just put it on in the morning when I get up to do my breakfast. I also take it with me when I go too town and go to the YMCA and walk around for a bit. They're good, but there is always some room for improvement.

After reading online reviews, I thought it'd be good to get it. I barely ever run into any issues with them. About 2 weeks ago, my dad had a stroke while my mom was there. She pressed the button and they were able to get a hold of us and some help. The only thing is that it'd be nice if they made it so that there was a mic and speaker on the actual device rather than having it all on the base station.

I checked the other companies and they just didn't have the amount of attention that we needed for my mother, so we went with Medical Guardian. They never told me that the device only really works with AT&T, so if something happens with that the device is just worthless. I've never used it but when we've used it for testing, I thought that it took too long for them to respond.
