The Good

  • Integrates with Other Apps
  • Variety of Fitness Trackers
  • Customizable Dashboard
  • Available at Multiple Retail Stores

Integrates with Other Apps

The Fitbit app integrates seamlessly with several other apps, including Lose It!, MyFitnessPal and MapMyRun. The app offers daily tracking and totals and calculates your individual average and how you progress over time.

There is also a Premium version of the app for the serious athlete, which features in-depth analyses of food, sleep, and activity that can be exported to be shared with coaches, trainers, or doctors. The Premium version will also recommend personalized fitness plans based on your results. And, of course, the app can be accessed from Apple, Android, and Windows mobile devices, as well as Macs and PCs.

Variety of Fitness Trackers

Fitbit offers a wide variety of fitness tracking options, providing trackers for a variety of lifestyles. Whether you want just to track your steps, sleep or more detailed workouts, Fitbit has a tracker for you. Ranging from $59.95 to $249.95, Fitbit provides quality products for a pretty reasonable price.

Listed below are Fitbit's tracking devices:

  • Fitbit Ace
  • Fitbit Charge 3
  • Fitbit Inspire
  • Fitbit Inspire HR
  • Fitbit Ace 2
  • Fitbit Ionic
  • Fitbit Flex
  • Fitbit Flex 2
  • Fitbit Versa 2
  • Fitbit Charge 4
  • Fitbit Inspire 2
  • Fitbit Versa 3
  • Fitbit Sense
  • Fitbit Alta
  • Fitbit Alta HR
  • Fitbit Force

Each Fitbit tracker is unique in appearance and offers different capabilities.

For example: Say you're looking for a simple device that tracks your steps, acts as a heart rate monitor, but isn't too big or eye-catching. You might want to look into the Fitbit Flex 2 (you could also consider the Fitbit Flex, but this may not be easy to find since it has been replaced by the Flex 2). This wearable device is one of Fitbit's slimmest wristbands and offers a variety of features, including the following:

  • Swim-proof — use it for swim tracking
  • Interchangeable accessories — removable tracker fits in bands, bangles, and pendants
  • SmartTrack — automatically recognizes exercise
  • Reminders to move
  • Call and text notifications
  • Auto sleep tracking
  • Silent alarm

The display isn't informative (you'll actually have to visit the app to view your daily activity), but the device is sleek and discreet. The battery will generally last up to five days but will vary depending on your usage, settings, and other factors.

On the other hand, if you want a wearable device that acts more like a small phone. You may want to look into the Fitbit Versa 2 and 3, or the Fitbit Sense.

The Sense is a smartwatch with advanced health-tracking capabilities. You can still track your heart rate and steps, but the device also comes with several tools for stress management, heart health, Sp02, skin temperature, and more. An on-wrist EDA Scan app detects electrodermal activity, which indicates your body's response to stress. The Sense also has an ECG app that assesses your heat for atrial fibrillation (AFib), a common heart rhythm irregularity. You can download hundreds of apps for fitness, sports, games, and more. The battery life generally lasts up to six days but will vary depending on your usage, settings, and other factors.

Overall it depends on what you want and your preferences. Luckily, Fitbit offers such a variety of products that you're bound to find something that fits your lifestyle.

Customizable Dashboard

A major advantage of Fitbit is its tracking software. The dashboard can be customized to quickly check the details you're most interested in.

The Bad

  • Proprietary Charging Cords
  • Need the Wireless Dongle
  • Large Recall

Proprietary Charging Cords

The downside of Fitbit products is the requirement to use proprietary charging cords; if you misplace yours, you won't be able to charge your Flex or One until you've bought a new cord (the Zip's 3V coin battery lasts six months).

Need the Wireless Dongle

Additionally, if you're syncing with your computer, you'll need to use Fitbit's wireless dongle. The dongle will plug into any USB port, but it's tiny and very easy to misplace. Replacement charging cords or wireless dongles are only $19.95 each; however, the costs could add up if you tend to lose things.

Large Recall

Fitbit issued a massive recall of its Force tracker in February 2014. After some Force users complained of skin irritation — specifically, allergic contact dermatitis to the nickel content in the core piece — Fitbit issued a voluntary recall on all Forces and offered consumers full refunds. Although the skin allergy affected only about 1.7 percent of Force owners, those that developed it experienced redness, rashes, and blistering where their skin had been exposed to the tracker. No skin complications have been reported with Fitbit's other devices, and the Fitbit Force is no longer sold by Fitbit.

gavel

The Bottom Line

Fitbit trackers are popular for a reason: they're comfortable, efficient, easy to use and come with the support of an outstanding app. Fitbit trackers are also compatible with almost any phone, tablet, or computer. This is a huge benefit in comparison to many of the tracker companies on the market, whose devices are limited in terms of compatibility — if you opt for the Sony SWR10 or the Samsung Gear Fit, for example, you may find yourself needing a new brand of tracker each time you upgrade to another cell phone.

Another thing we like about Fitbit is the variety of trackers available. There is a massive selection of wearable devices that offer a variety of features. Whether you plan on using your Fitbit for working out, tracking your health, or simply as a smaller phone, there is a device for you.

I have had a fitbit for a few years and recently I just purchased the new fitbit sense. I love the increasing technology. What attracted me to the sense was it's ability to detect O2 and scan for heart abnormalities through the built in ekg feature. It has so many things all in one smart watch. I can make calls and read text from my wrist, I can find my phone if I misplace it, I can use a smart assistance such as Alexa, It lets me see my heart rate in real time, use a calandar, use third party apps and so much more. I dropped a pretty penny ($400) for this fit bit, but in my opinion it was worth every penny. There are also premium features you can add to the app, like workouts and challenges. There are only a couple of kinks I am having. One is the silicone band that comes with the watch is irritating my skin. I find I have to continuously switch arms to give one side a break if wearing all the time, which I do. Lastly, it does constantly seem to unsync with my phone, causing me to have to resync it every couple of weeks. Other than that, I love it!

I previously owned a Fitbit Flex and I now own the Fitbit Charge HR. I loved my flex (when I could get it to charge). Initially it charged correctly but within a month or so it began to be difficult to get to charge. I had to wrap rubber bands around it and do all sorts of things to get it to work. This lead me to purchasing the Charge HR when it came out. I actually wanted the Surge but I have such a small wrist that I couldn't pull off the small version no matter how much I tried. I ended up with the Charge HR (small) which is still a little late on my wrist but is bearable. The HR works like a dream. I find the heart rate monitor accurate within a few beats of taking my pulse manually. Step/distance tracking are also just as accurate. The auto sleep function works perfectly. It always know exactly when I lay down. It is so much easier than how you monitored your sleep with the Flex. The caller ID is a nice feature but one that I feel could have been left out. It only vibrates once to let you know you have an incoming call (so I end up missing the call because it also silences my ringer on Samsung S6). The alarm is one of my favorite things. I use it to wake by as well as several other alarms throughout the day for various reminders. The companion app/website is very useful. The challenges are nice but I think that the could be better. More variety and also include some solo challenges. Overall, I would highly recommend this activity tracker to anyone. It's accurate, looks nice, not overly large (despite my small wrist) and has a great app/website.

Third Fitbit. Love the product. Their customer service is top notch. First was a Force, with the recall. I didn't have any issues with the rash but went ahead and replaced mine with a Flex. I thought that Fitbit handled the recall very well. Used a Flex for quite a while, but missed the "floors climbed" that I had with the Force. My Flex stopped charging and syncing after about 6 months. Fitbit confirmed the issue [that was a little unnerving - too Big Brother-ish for my taste] and sent me a return authorization for a new Flex. When Charge was released, I waited for the HR version. Very happy. Actually showed sleep and HR data to my Dr in order to request a new sleep study.

I have had the Force, which was great and used almost a full year. Never had issues with the recall and only replaced it at the end of the year when I lost it. I also had the Flex which was very good and reliable and even gave it to my mother when I was given the Charge as a X-mas gift. Unfortunately that last one broke down for no apparent reason when the casing popped open without any hit or force applied, but Customer Service was awesome and it was replaced. The software is the best out there and most comprehensive and does not even compare with the Apple Watch, so now I have the charge and the Apple Watch one on each hand. Just wish the Apple Watch software was as good as Fitbit.

When I purchased my FitBit Force at Best Buy a couple of years back, I left the store, put it on in the car, drove 30 minutes to grocery store, went in and the device at some point came off my wrist. I noticed it was missing just before we left the store We searched the store but it was never found. I wrote to FitBit letting them know my disappointment with the clasp but not having expected anything to come of it. The immediately replaced the device! I was thrilled at their quick response. I used it every day until the band broke (I was touch on it). I haven't yet replaced it (am saving for the Surge) but will replace with another FitBit product. I had been using My Fitness Pal for quite some time prior to owning a FB so it was seamless to integrate the two. The only thing I wish it to be is slightly more traditional style watch. I do like the style of the Apple Watch only in that it is interchangeable with bands allowing it to coordinate with less sporty clothing. I wear my device 24/7 so I wish it were more stylish. Otherwise, love the product and customer service was great.

I love Fitbit! Having said that, there are things I wish were a little better, but all in all I love Fitbit. I started with a One. It tracked steps and stairs and night activity. Hated that and never wore the bracelet but loved the steps and stairs. Lost my One and replaced it with a Zip. I was being cheap and should not have because the Zip does not track stairs and uses a battery. First Zip needed to be replaced. Fitbit has AWESOME customer support! Lost the new Zip and replaced it with a Flex thinking that I would be less likely to lose my arm than another tracker. Was wary of the phantom steps that may be caused by hand movement but their system is very accurate even on my dominant hand. Great battery life too BUT still no stairs. I'll need to finally get a Charge to get my stairs back. This is the only other thing I wish was different - either that the Flex tracked stairs or that you could get credit or a discount for upgrading an existing unit. I use my iPhone apps for GPS and route tracking, so I don't really need all the bells and whistles from the Charge HR or other models - I just want my stair tracker back. I live in a 3-story house!!!

I've had a fitbit since they first came out... With the original fitbit I found out I was having major sleep issues which may not have been found out without the fitbit. I replaced the 1st generation fitbit with the zip and loved it, but it did not track sleep or stairs. To measure my workout activity I used a heart rate monitor anyways so I wanted something to just track steps. As soon as the Fitbit CHarge HR came out I decided to treat myself and solely use this for tracking workouts. The downside, for me, is that the battery in the zip does not last as long as claimed if I use it daily.... The charge does not last as long in the Charge HR if I use it daily and I don't like that I can't wear the CHarge HR if it needs to be charged. I end up wearing my zip to work and then changing to the charge HR when I get home to track everything else. The charger for the CHarge HR is fine but if you lose it and only have one - then you have to buy a replacement. I have also had major skin irritation by wearing the charge HR for a full day... My skin had started peeling or the irritation looked like a burn. I switched wrists and the same thing started happening... So that's why I typically wear the zip all day so the Charge HR isn't irritating my skin. Two of my friends have had the same problem with the skin irritation. One more downside if you are using Fitbit with myfitnesspal AND an additional heart rate monitor.... Fitbit and the heartrate monitor don't work well together.... I've worked out before thinking I burned more calories than I had because the fitbit adjusted overnight and then SUPRISE I should have worked out to burn an additional 200 calories.... To solve this I just use the fitbit HR for workouts. Overall I love the product and being able to keep track of my sleep and sync my workouts with myfitnesspal plus the new challanges with other fitbit friends is motivational.

I have been a user of FitBit for over 2 years and love it. I only have 2 less than positive feedback statements: the bands on the Flex are not of the best quality and I have gone through about 6 of them. The second thing is I frequently receive a skin irritation on my wrist where the FitBit is worn. I thought it was due to my sensitive skin but have seen other reports of this happening. I've gotten in routine of removing it at night and when I notice the irritation, I'll remove, wipe down with Witch Hazel, pat dry and moisturize with either Aveeno or Eucerin lotion. Other than this, I am very happy with the product and it's reminder to get up and move.

I had a Fitbit One for about 2 years and recently upgraded to the Charge HR. I love it. It has eliminated the need to wear a chest strap during my workout, and that really simplifies things. It syncs beautifully with my iPhone, and I really like all the information it provides. Being able to challenge other Fitbit wearers for some friendly competition is also nice. Remembering to charge it is the hardest part for me, and that is about the only time I take it off. The only trouble I have ever encountered with accuracy is when using a Stairmaster. Since the Fitbit has an altimeter, it doesn't register the Stairmaster steps accurately because you aren't really changing altitude when you climb. You can circumvent this somewhat by swinging one arm, so that it captures the "steps" you take. I appreciate the ease of use, and the accuracy. It also syncs very well with the Weight Watchers app, for any WW friends out there. I hIghly recommend it!

I have the Fitbit Surge & love it. I have only 1 complaint - there are many times when it doesn't read my heart rate. I've tried moving it up & down my wrist but continue to have issues. It almost always occurs during a workout & will just read "---" & I'm not sure why. But luckily it doesn't stay that way for long. I've had mine for about 4 weeks now & have lost weight & am much more motivated to stay active & meet my step goal. I log all my food every day. It has really helped keep me in track with calories in vs. calories out. I'm a runner & can't wait until the fall to just step outside & start running w/ the GPS. I do wish it was water proof. I have almost forgotten to take it off before hopping in the shower. Other than those 2 issues, it's been a wonderful purchase.

Fitbit Flex = no more lost pedometers and a great way to bring the entire family together. Love love love Fitbit and the customer service team is wonderful. My family has 3 fitbits and I had trouble with a battery and it was replaced and service was very helpful. Wishes---1) Ability to invite friends using other trackers to join challenges (after they see how great fitbit is I bet they'd get one) and 2) if it doesn't work when doing other exercise such as biking/swimming when you manually log that activity I wish it would convert to steps and add to your total as it is a bummer when you do something else but your total stejps shows low activity.

I've had the Charge HR for about a month or so now. It has features I like better than the flex. The HR obviously being one of them. Another is that it monitors my sleep automatically. I don't have to put it to sleep mode and then remembering to wake it up in the morning. The bad is that unlike the flex the size is hard to get use to. The Charge HR seems so bulky on my wrist. I also had to go to a large band with the Charge HR. The small band fit but just barely. Not enough to clasp it properly anyways. I also dislike that I can't change out the color of the Charge HR. It's basic black every day. However the positive certainly outweighed the negative in the Charge HR which is why I gave it a 9.

Love, love, love my Fitbit(s) - I have had a Flex, a Force (no rash, only returned due to recall) and now a Surge. While I have had a couple minor issues, Fitbit has always been faithful to address them quickly and without much bureaucracy. I live with a Fitbit around my arm! Everything I do is monitored and measured (wish it could do blood sugars, cholesterol, etc., too!). I often share what my Fitbit tells me with other people. Considered an Apple Watch, but it wouldn't track my sleep, something that is critical to me. Only reason I am giving it a 9 is because of some of the issues I have experienced. 10 on customer service.

I'm a 53 yr. old woman who's been obese (at 200 lbs.) for the last 25 years aka most of my life. I purchased my Fitbit Charge at Sam's Club at the end of March, 2015. So far I've lost about 18 lbs. walking every day with my dog (who has also lost weight - 7 lbs. and the Vet says she looks good for a senior dog at 10 years old in human years. We walk about 2 - 5 miles a day. I have also changed the amount I am eating and lowering my carb intake. The plus about moving is now my knees no longer hurt and I've cancelled knee surgery I was supposed to have had. LIKES: 1- It really motivates me to know when I've hit my step goal and so easy to see my progress on my laptop. I get excited to feel the pulse of hitting my goal. I started at 10K steps daily and moved to 12K now. 2- I can connect with other friends who wear it and cheer them on and vice versa. :) 3 - I wear my Charge 24/7 in and out of the pool and it still works. I hear that I shouldn't, but I love water aerobics and want to know how many steps I do in the water and since it still works, I have no complaints! Since I wear it often, I tend to have to have it charged once a week so far which I don't think is a big deal. 4 - I love that it has Bluetooth capability so that I know who's calling me even when my phone is in my purse. DISLIKES: 1 - It's an awesome product and the only thing I don't like about it is that it's plain and only comes in one color. Wish it came in different band colors/styles to match what I'm wearing. 2 - Also, I would love to buy a Fitbit t-shirt or cap from them because I love the product, but again, the items offered only come in dull colors and are very plain. So no t-shirt or any other apparel for me from Fitbit at this point. :( Overall, I love this product!

I've owned 3 FitBits. The Ultra - My first. It was great. Tracked accurately and was a really valuable tool in helping me lose 40 pounds - until I soaked it with sweat during an intense workout. bye bye ultra. (Still my favorite FitBit). The Flex - This was a gift for Christmas. Never really tracked well. Didn't like the clasp and it made my wrist red with irritation. I returned it. The ChargeHR - Bought this for my wife. She loves it. Uses it often, but recently it started tracking about 1/2 the steps as other tracking tools she uses (they used to all be in sync). I would REALLY like to get the Surge, but I'm hesitant to rely on another wrist-based tracker, based on my previous experience. If the Surge turns out to be a good product for me, I would be an awesome case study, but I'm watching reviews on that model to see if I'll make the leap of faith. FItBit dashboards and the mobile app are great for all of these devices. Really helps you stay on track. Overall, I still think FitBit is the best in this genre..

I've been through 4 Fitbits in several years. Some have been better than others for keeping track of heart rate and steps, my two biggest needs. Sleep is third. There are still some issues that come up every once in a while that does not track correctly. Mostly incorrect step counts when I know I was very active one day. I've learned not to depend on these for my health. Perhaps keep a spare tracker on me for long walks to compare.

I had a fitbit charge and a fitbit charge 2. I loved the ease of the app and the way I could sync my exercise to my food tracker. I liked that the charge 2 would connect to my phone so I could be notified if I received a text or call It was lightweight and had many great features. My only complaint was that with both trackers, the screen randomly broke but customer service was great to send a replacement because it broke within the time of the warranty.

This if for the Fitbit Alta. I've had it for about a year. It seems to work ok. There are lots of third-party bands that can coordinate nicely with my outfits. I sync using my phone, so I don't have to worry about the dongle. The phone sync is via Bluetooth. Before the Alta, I used the Flex, and I switched for sleek watch/tracker option, so that now I do not have to wear both a watch and tracker separately.

I have the Fitbit Charge HR. It is a great tool in helping with being aware of my heart rate when working out which helps me stay in the correct target zone. Although I would love if it could track when I go biking. I still think it is a very helpful tool in using with helping with fitness and weight management. LOVE the call notification feature.

I really love the fitbit. I have the charge; the only thing they need to improve is the closure on it. Within the first 3-4 months I had to have it replace because the whole thing started coming off. I have had the second one for about two months and it is doing the same thing. I have almost lost it three times because it has fallen off because of the closure not staying fastened. I would really like to upgrade to the next one.

I have the zip and I love it. The only issue with the zip is that the battery only lasts 3 months and it is something that you have to replace as its not a model that comes with a charging cord. I replaced the battery and it stopped working. I contacted fitbit via twitter & they couldn't have been more pleasant. They sent me directions to try to fix it, and when that didn't work they sent me a replacement. Very impressed. I will upgrade my device in a few months.

I love my Fitbit! Absolutely addicted to it. I started with Fitbit Flex -- had some trouble with the band breaking, but Fitbit Customer Care was always there to satisfy me. Started with the release of the flex. It was great but once i really started working out and making more of an effort I purchased the Charge Hr. I love it but I have partially damaged the screen. I wish there was a maintanance or possible upgrade program. Also have the Aria scale which is fantastic, but I think the Fat % is off compared to other measurements. I am muscular and it has my fat % higher than a morbidly obese person which is strange. Otherwise fantastic and i will continue buying all the products they release

I have the FitBit Surge and I love it. It took a while for me to get use to wearing a watch again. I don't wear it to be, so I never really used the sleep mode or alarms. I wish it was in girly colors or changeable bands. I have had this since it was first released and no problems other than I just am not tech savy to get it to send notifications from my phone. I recommend fitbits to all my exercise friends and would buy it again.

I have the HR Charge model. My main complaint is that it doesn't track stairs. I go up and down a full flight at least a dozen times a day but it doesn't register. Sometimes I have a 1 at the end of the day. It also doesn't register steps unless your arms are swinging. Pushing a grocery cart does not add any steps. The heart rate monitoring seems to be very accurate, a real plus for me.

Got my Fitbit surge in Nov 2014.....Love it but reported back to Fitbit customer service a couple of months ago that the buckle area gives me rash. Not bad but just irritating....Oh the battery doesn't keep it's charge for very long. Initially, I used to be able to go at least two weeks without charging, now I have to charge it every day. I joined Weight Watchers in June of this year and purchased my Charge hr. in July. I use both tools together and to date, I've lost 30 lbs. I can't say enough on behalf of fit bite and Weight Watchers programs. I'm finding if you use both program it's been fairly easy. My son has the flex and my wife and I find the clasp portion is very difficult to attach. I wish the company would go to the same type as the charge. I have nothing but good things to say about the product.

I had the misfortune of having the Force and experiencing the skin irritation...I replaced it with the Nike Fuel and I much prefer the Fitbit..not so bulky, easier to retrieve information and a lot more comfortable. When I can justify spending yet more money on a tracker I will go back to the Fitbit (the modified version wasn't out yet when I got the Fuel)

I truly love my fit bit charge. Anyone that knows me rarely will see me without it on. I however am very much allergic to it. I have these brown spots where the skin keeps peeling off. It doesn't itch, it just looks like I have a disease. So I have to take off twice a day and wash the spot and my fit bit. I wish that it would go away, but I got it the first time I wore my fit bit. I guess as long as I am going to wear it, I'm going to have to suffer the consequences.

I have had my Fitbit Charge HR for 8 months. It tracks everything accurately except the stairs, which I don't care that much about anyway. It holds a charge still just not as long as it use to. I Love my Fitbit! The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because the bands should be made better. My Fitbit, the Charge, if the band breaks, the entire thing needs to be replaced. I have friends with other versions also have bands that break. Other than that, I think it is an excellent product. It tracks perfectly for steps, stairs, and sleep. I don't feel complete without it.

I like Fitbit....I do not like the reaction that my wrist has due to whatever new material combo they used for the newer bands. I have had to line mine with moleskin as my original band broke...and even now, I get an allergic reaction....NOT GOOD. And they have said that there is nothing wrong with the new bands... based on what I have heard from others, there is definitely something wrong! And....my lights stopped working after just 6 months. Now I can't see what progress I have throughout the day.

I love my Fitbit One and my husband has the Flex. It has made us very aware of moving and we walk every night with our doggies to hit our steps. We have the scale Aria that syncs to our Fitbit app. Using Fitbit and challenging each other has been very positive to overall health. In fact, we have been traveling today and walked around our hotel complex and up and down the hallways to hit our steps!

I have enjoyed every fit bit I have ever owned and I have had 3 different ones. My favorite is the one I have now and it is a Charge HR. The only thing about it is that I have to charge it so often because of the nice features. We started with fit bits at the end of December, 2012 and when one plays out we get another one. So far I have not found anything that I like better.

FitBit is a great innovation! Bringing awareness to your health. Loaded with features and incentives for solo or publicly acknowledgements of your achievements. Product is design well with easy and simple to use. Configurable to anyone's personal life style...not sure why anyone won't want one. I been wearing my Fitbit for over two years, recently upgraded to the Charge...Love it!

I love my flex. I have had it almost a year now. It has kept me motivated. I had a serious injury to my leg last year before I got my flex, so once I was able to walk, I began increasing my goal on my flex to see how far I could go. After a second surgery a couple of months ago, I am again back walking and trying hard to reach the goals I have set. Not a day goes by that I am not wearing my flex!

I love my Fitbit and I love the customer service they provide. I have had issues with the band on my Fitbit Charge. The clip continually unsnaps. After several such incidents, the Fitbit band unsnap in a crowded train station and was never to be found. I called to complain never expecting a replacement, but lo and behold, within a week my new Fitbit was in my mailbox.

I love my Fitbit. I did have to take it off for a few days as a sore/burn (not sure which) developed on my arm where I wear it. The sales person told me that most women wear the small size, but now I kinda wish I had gotten the large since perchance the sore/burn is from it being to tight and sweating (...er....glowing)under it while walking on warm days. Still working on figuring out all the things it does and how it does them. But I really love it.

I had the Force and chose to keep it after the recall. I used it until the face separated from the band. I wore it tighter than I probably should, so this was my fault. The reason was the clasp was easy to catch and the Force would slip off unnoticed, so wearing it tighter made it more noticeable. I now own the ChargeHR, which I love, love, love! The belt closure eliminates the issues I had with the Force, and I really love the HR tracker and the textured band. Best fitness tracker on the market, bar none!

I had the Fitbit Force for 2 years. I almost lost it a few times when the badly designed clip popped open. I ended up getting O rings and had 3 that I could move if I needed to remove my band. Just a few days ago the band came apart at the electronics part and looked like it was just glued on. I bought another band to replace the Force and have the Charge band now. The closing clip seems to be tighter but I can still see it wearing out in a few months. I liked the Force and wished my new Charge was exactly like it.

I've had the Surge for about 3 months. At first I wore it all the time, that is until the nasty rash happened. So I adjusted and don't wear it 24/7, and I switch wrist from time to time. I really like the sleep tracker. Also, I've had pedometers and the Fitbit records steps a million times better. It's very motivating to look at your wrist and see the steps you've taken. I had originally bought another brand name tracker but took it back because it could only sync with a smartphone. I like that the Fitbit can sync with a computer.

I have the Charge HR. I love it because it's right there at my wrist... a little irritation sometimes, and If i'm driving my truck, it tends to add on tons of flights of stairs.. other than that.. it's been awesome. The heart rate monitor is pretty spot on. It does have an issue when I work out and i'm really sweaty, but I've noticed that with the hr bands you wear as well. All in all, it has really helped me work on how I'm doing things physically.

I love my fitbit HR. I have owned some form of fitbit for the past...5 years. I kept losing the clip on ones so I love the bracelet kind. The HR has a buckle like a watch. I love it, love it. I am getting a little bit of irration from the band. I like the heart rate on it and I constantly try to beat my goal of 11,000 a day. I am going to up it to 12,000 soon.

I have the FITBIT Flex. I really enjoy it but the color of bands is limited. (I know not really important) I love the accountability but will admit that I am a slave to this thing. I will walk circles around my living room to get to that 10,000 steps. lol Overall, I love it but would probably get the next one up so I can read my steps on the actual device and not my phone/computer.

I have been using a fitbit for the last three years. I love the fact that is accurately tracks my steps and miles and also that I can link it up to Map My Fitness app. Mine has even been through the wash and still works. I did have one that stopped working and after an email to the company, they sent me a new one. I like the fact that they stand behind their product.

I also had a flex that died. I reset it via the website directions though. Gave that one to my daughter and bought myself and my husband a FitBit ChargeHR . I love the Charge HR It is more accurate in detecting when I am sleeping. It is pretty accurate at keeping track of my steps. Although I noticed that if you are ambidextrous you will have to be careful sweeping, mopping or vacuuming, weeding ect. it was counting up and I hit my 10000 while not moving anything but my hands.. FYI

I have an ultra and I love it. I have used the device for at least the last 4 years without any major problems. I tracks my steps accurately and calorie count, I like the fact that I can see in real time how many steps and stairs I have climbed. THe one negative is that the device needs prompting in order to synch with the computer(I have to hit the "synch" icon a few times in order to synch and the display id difficult to see when exercising outside,

I'm a huge Fitbit fan, have had one for years now and love the feedback it provides. Now, my husband, kids, parents, siblings, all have them too. What I love about Fitbit over other trackers, is that they work with SO many other programs out there (My Fitness Pal, Pact, Achievemint, Fitstudio, and more). With these reward programs, my Fitbit has actually paid for itself easily!

I own a fit bit and the effectiveness of the fitness tracker is satisfactory. It does an amazing job on tracking heart rate and distance. But the battery is often faulty for my unit and it would often shut off with no warning.
