I love Hickory Farms for some of their key items. Items that have tasted the same since 1971 when I was introduce. Of course if you are looking for Healthy treats Hickory Farms is not the place to be purchasing large quantities of food.
However, for those items that make great treats for special occasions, or Holidays Hickory Farms still does a great job!
One of the issues about these types of postings is when people feel cheated, or wronged even if it was their own misunderstanding they are more likely to post a negative review as a form of their own frustrations.
Hickory Farms Customer service has always seemed to me to be right were most companies services rate. You get a great Support Agent, and you get terrible Agents as well.
The bottom line for me is, they have items I like that only come from them like the Girl Scouts. The stuff I like, I like. The stuff I do not like, I do not like. So, I can't convince anyone to like, or dislike an item. But, for a company I think they try to do a lot of good in the community.
So, my recommendation to you if you are reading this is to try their products for yourself. Cost can be high, so if you want to try several items get a family member or a friend to put and order in with you so you can take advantage of the shipping. And if you do not like the items, then do not order them again.

For years before my Dad's heart attack, he received a Hickory Farms basket from me on Christmas. It always has a nice selection of sausages, cheeses, crackers, jams, mustards, and candies. Always a nice presentation, fast shipping for the holidays, and compared to other companies, reasonable priced. Since the heart attack we tend to steer clear of any edible Christmas presents, however, for many years, Hickory Farms was always my favorite go to for a masculine gift.
