I've used lyft here and there for years and haven't really had a problem up until now. I recently used them on my friends birthday, and a week later I noticed two extra charges on my card from them. I tired to dispute it. One charge was for $5.00 and the other was for $12.90. While trying to dispute it, they sent me a receipt from a ride I got in 2015, three years ago and already charged on an entirely different card, and tried saying that was one of the charges in question for $5.00. They never sent any proof of the $12.90 charge. Ultimately, they told me they couldn't refund me simply because they were made from my account, even though they showed me actual proof that one was a double charge from 3 years ago, and no proof of the other. I will no longer be using their services ever again.

Left my phone in the lyft car, so I got no email receipt, which would have had my driver's info, and problem solved. Called and was told they could not text the driver because it was "illegal at this hour," 11:23 pm. I was told they would email him, but there was no guarantee that he would see it tonight. They said call back at 9:00 am and they would text the drive, again, no guarantee he would see that either. I cannot believe that I am the first person to have done this, and that they do not have a policy in place to handle it more efficiently. This is definitely a roadblock to recovering something that is so important. Come on people.

I have used Uber and Lyft until this past year. In my opinion, Uber is a far better option. It's always cheaper (although often not by much). In my area there are dozens of drivers available within minutes with Uber while Lyft, having fewer drivers takes at least 15 minutes to arrive. The Uber drivers have nicer cars, Lyft is a toss up. Most are nice, many are not…and you have no choice about your ride until it arrives. Twice I have gotten stuck with Lyft cars that wreak of cigarette smoke and dozens of times my driver does not speak ANY English. I live in Texas!!! Furthermore, Lyft drivers have “dropped” my ride because they can't find me…which means I have a new driver and start my wait all over again. That's frustrating, to say the least. Lastly, Lyft is constantly sending me offers. I mean, daily until I adjusted my mail settings. The offers sound good, but they rarely are what they seem. Customer Service is terrible. The Lyft drivers expect a tip on top of pay.

I used Lyft 3 times. The first 2 times were fine. The third time, last night January 8, 2016, I requested a lift at 1pm after a dinner party on my way home from the airport. From a popular restaurant in a city of over 100,000 population, the fastest response time was 15 minutes. However, the first driver who accepted my request, Jennifer, never showed after 15 minutes and would not respond to calls or texts. The second driver, Darin, did the same thing. So, the restaurant closed and I was left out in the wind and rain. I found an overhang but the wind was so bad I still got drenched. After nearly an hour of no-shows, I called a conventional taxi. Had they just replied "no drivers available" I would not have nearly frozen. Here is where i gets really bad: the next day I tried to delete my account and credit card and there is no way to do that. It's been over 6 hours since I contacted support via email with no response. To add insult to injury 11 hours later a driver responded and said "I'm on my way" when I hit the cancel ride button I soon got a $5 cancellation receipt....11 hours after I requested the ride??? Consumers should know that while this service may be okay during working/peak hours, however Lyft is totally unreliable in situations such as emergencies or to avoid driving after drinking...situations when you really need a ride. Who accepts a fair then just leaves the customer standing in the rain without the courtesy of a text??? Evidently this is a common thing with Lyft. I would not recommend this service to anyone. You can't count on them showing up. Same day follow up: Lyft support got back to me and said they will not delete my account and that I can't get my credit card information removed. They say it's a third party and they do not retain credit card information but when I go on the app, there it is - my credit card remains there and showing attached to my account. Pretty sure what they are doing is illegal.

I don't use this a lot except on business trips. I have found it really easy to use. The drivers have been polite and overall I have been happy with my experience. I have not had the need to use the last couple of years because the lack of business travel

I don't have a car so I use lyft all the time. I do believe lyft is the cheapest ridesharing app. I don't think their costs are too unreasonable and I have never had an issue with any of the drivers I had. One thing I don't like about lyft, however, is that sometimes at night, they will say a driver is available and never find you one. It can be a hassle because I wait for so long for a driver that isn't there. I think lyft should be more upfront about the availability of their drivers instead of lying, but other than that, Lyft is a pretty good app. I'd rather have it than Uber.

Being in college without a vehicle can be very difficult when getting from one place to another. However, Lyft made it easy by being easy to use and very convenient when getting around.

This is a good company and comes in handy when out of a ride. The service is good mostly and one thing that I like about this is how they allow you to add stops during your rides to allow you to get friends or drop off other people in your ride.

I have only had positive experiences with Lyft drivers, but the availability of drivers compared to Uber is low. However, the price of a Lyft is always cheaper than an Uber and most drivers are willing to drive great distances (more than 8 miles) if you request it.

I've never really understood the difference between Uber and Lyft, so I usually use both services. I will say, I love the little mustaches that drivers have in their window with lyft. I've always had good experiences with Lyft. It seems to be less busy than Uber as well.

I love this app for transportation, I use it almost every day to get to class, but sometimes if the ride is too early in the morning, it will take longer for your driver to get to you, other than that, it was fine.

I have never had any problems with Lyft, the company or its drivers. The app is very simple to use and the wait to get a ride is never longer than 10 minutes. I love how convenient the app is because there are drivers 24/7 so you can get a ride at any time without a problem. The drivers are always nice and don't drive hectic or anything.

Lyft is such a great alternative to Uber and the taxi companies. If you cannot find an uber driver right away, you can always call a lyft driver and vice versa. Sometimes better rates than Uber and safe drivers!

I am a frequent user of Lyft because it is much easier getting around the city this way than it is trying to get a cab, I always find the drivers to be great and the cars to be decent. I especially like it when the lyft car has the LED lights in the dash letting me know that they are my Lyft.

Lyft has been my go-to ride-sharing service since coming to college. It has been reliable. There have just been a few times when it took more than 15 min for a driver to come pick me up, the quality of the car have been questionable, or the driver was unreliable (no confirmation of identity, vaping while driving, loud music while driving, etc.). Other than those few times, I appreciate the random discounts and the generally good service.

Ive used Lyft a few times. The app is easy enough to use. The drivers have been nice and the cars have been clean. My only issue with Lyft is that it seems in SLC i can get a ride faster thru other providers. At least in SLC, it seems that Lyft has less drivers available than other ride sharing companies.

I love using lyft as an easy and affordable way to get around safely. More recently, I have been shifting to other ride sharing competitors simply due to the pricing models and rewards. While Lyft is extremely safe and generally cheaper, I am not super pleased with the selection of reward options it offers.

I like Lyft. Not quite as much as Uber, but there have been a few times I tried them in other cities while traveling, and it has never disappointed. Their driver's are courteous and they have showed up on within 10 minutes of requesting a ride.

Their app for your phone is user friendly. Tells you how much fair will be before you commit. Something you don’t get when you call a cab! Depending on how far you have to go or even the location of your trip fair is reasonable.

I went on a business trip and I had to use Lyft to get around. It was very reliable and worth it for my money. There are always nearby drivers, no matter the time. The app is very easy to use. There have been a few cases when the drivers are a little risky, but overall I have had a great experience using Lyft.

Lyft makes me feel safe when I’m getting in the car with a complete stranger. The drivers have to go through extra security to be able to drive which is good. The prices for the distance is much cheaper and everything is visible to see and use.

This is a reliable transportation, especially when you have somewhere to be. However, I don't agree to the price increase when there are a handful of people using the service at one time. It is their job, so why should I have to pay extra when they will be getting money rather of not it's a little or lot of people.
