State Farm had competitive rates for me when I was looking for car insurance. I really enjoyed talking to an agent's office that was right here in my own city. The fact that State Farm has so many local offices is my favorite aspect of their company.

We have been pleased with our service through State Farm. our agent is always ready to help when needed. We have never had any major claims but there have been a few minor ones that were handled very well and quite quickly. As long as our needs stay the same as well as our rates, im sure we will continue to use State Farm.

But we never had any problems with claims, and our agent was very helpful and knowledgeable. They offer extra benefits to people who stay with them long term, which makes me wish I hadn't left.

I was in a car accident, where a truck pulling a trailer swiped my car. Having never been in an accident before I was unsure of how to proceed. I called State Farm to report the incident and they walked me through the entire process and kept in contact with me. I was happy with how they handled the situation.

Agents seem to come and go because I heard from them often when we became a new account, but haven’t heard from them since. I suppose that’s okay since I don’t like being bothered, but the silence is suggesting the agent is gone and I’m now the property of the greater company. I like paying online and the response during the claim process.

Overall I had sub-par experience with State Farm, however there were some glaring issues that were very annoying. 1. My premium raised three times in about 15 months, for no apparent reason that could be explained to me as I had no violations or any change in driving habits. 2. For a claim, I was told that they would not cover my hood because of previous hail damage, however that information was not disclosed to me when I started my policy and met with my agent. 3. In regards to that claim, I was told I couldn't speak with my agent and that I had to work with somebody else, which made me question why I had an agent in the first place! Overall, the insurance was expensive and the price only continued to rise, and the most positives that I can give, is that they paid out my claim for damage quickly. I also realize that this might be an experience with a bad agent, but It's going to be a long time before I look back into State Farm.

My wife totaled her car and the process we had to go through was a huge hassle. no one knew what was going on at our local agent and we are still out money for damages to cargo that was in the vehicle. Ive had other companies and all I did was make one phone call and everything was taken care of. with state farm it was like we had to hold their hand through each step and make sure they followed through.

The agency on Marconi Ave in Sacramento. tried to call to set up to new policy for three vehicles and set up info before my wife arrived near closing time, she transferred me to another girl because it was going to be too close to closing time for her. I carry the device in my car that monitors my driving and usage. I ws told by my agent to expect a 50% reduction in my premiums at the 6-month renewal because I drive so little. Didn't happen. Rates keep going upwards.

I ask what the process was to get my car fixed. How may I help you. Are you new? No Takes all my information again. It had already been given to State Farm by the policy holder. I could not even get simple ? answered. For example What do I need to do to get my car fixed? Horrible Horrible.
