We talked to about 4 different solar companies and were most impressed with blue raven. We liked the way their panels looked sleeker without the lines through then so it looked better on roof and we liked their pricing structure and promotions as there was option for no money upfront, took only 1 day to install and was easy process. Evan was super helpful and knowledgeable throughout the whole process and he wasn't trying to sell us more panels than we needed. We've had the panels on for a year now and has saved us a ton of money...cut down our power bill right away and now it's barely a bill at all. The tax incentives were the main reason we wanted to do solar and so glad we did. Great experience with both Evan and blue raven, highly recommend!

We've had a great experience so far with Blue Raven Solar. The sales rep and consultant answered all our questions about the different options and weren't pushy. The initial site inspection matched what we had been shown in the proposal - no surprises.
The scheduling, permitting, and working with our HOA went smooth and quicker than projected. The panel installation and electrical work was also completed early and the installers (Jason and Derrick) were courteous, respectful, and great to work with. Communication has good - text, phone and email to keep us up to date and informed on next steps.
We're now working towards the final steps including inspection and net metering hookup - looking forward to enjoying our new solar system. The Blue Raven Solar team has done an excellent job so far.

We have had Blue Raven Solar since March of 2019 which is 6 months later at the time I'm writing this review. Our utility bill is $0 each month whereas previously it was averaging on an annual basis about $90 a year. On top of that we have a credit that has been building up month over month as we produce much more than we consume. I highly advise using the high efficiency bulbs that Blue Raven provides you as well as the smart home thermostat they give you for free. This will reduce your energy consumption significantly. Also, I would recommend installed a Sense monitor (https://sense.com/) on your home's electrical panel as this will help you to identify where you are wasting energy. Also, don't go out and immediately start changing all your appliances to electric. Change them out as they die off otherwise you are killing your costs savings. We have had a great experience with solar panels. No issues so far. Oh and the app lets you monitor the production on an daily basis (intra-day in fact).

From the first time talking with Blue Raven my wife and I were impressed that the company was not trying to sell us! When we sat down with Martin every minute was spent with not only a completely knowledgeable person buy one who was completely professional. He answered each question until we were satisfied we understood what we asked.
The follow up was regular in letting us know where we were at with the process. If I called with a question, I received a call back within 12-24 hours. If the person didn't know the answer they called me back with a clear answer.
Installation was done today 9/23/19. They were amazingly quick, but totally thorough. They took the time to answer my questions professionally, with clarity and precision. Their mindset was clear. To make sure we had a professional and complete installation done with the highest standards and they were amazingly precision oriented. It was a pleasure working with Blue Raven and would unquestionably and have recommended this company to friends and neighbors. I rarely in my life have experienced such professionalism, ethics, customer service and installation done as well as Derrick and his partner did today. If when all else is done as well I will give the whole process 5 stars out of 5stars. I am not an easy man to impress, Blue Raven has completely impressed thus far.

My experience with Blue Raven Solar has been absolutely fantastic! They contacted me directly via solicitation to our house and I am very happy that I gave them the time of day. Before I was even a customer they had done their due diligence and determined that I was a good candidate for solar. After talking with their rep I scheduled a follow up with their salesperson. Parker was very knowledgeable and professional. He helped us determine that for about $10 more a month than we are paying for our power we could purchase solar panels.
After we determined to purchase the solar panels Blue Raven pretty much took care of everything in a very expedient manner. They sent someone over to photograph the roof and developed a design. They submitted for permits quickly and scheduled construction soon after the permits were issued. It took their crew about a day to install the panels and do the electrical work. As an added bonus they gave us a free EcoBee smart thermostat as well as a bunch of LED lights. There was an issue when they installed the thermostat and Blue Raven promptly scheduled a HVAC technician to come over and fix the issue.
From the beginning consult to the final install it has been an absolute fabulous experience. This has been one of the best decisions I have made in a very long time.

From the initial inquiry I was impressed by the detailed, helpful and great communication. The emails, text and check up phone calls were very pleasant and relaxing. Mitch was pretty laid back and easy going. He explained the entire process, pros and cons of having solar energy going forward versus not. He answered all of my questions and the questions of my guest as well. Mitch walked me through the entire process while making sure that I understood everything. He didn't pressure or try to sell me. They were very easy to work with as I'm in and out of town regularly for work. They handled my HOA request, city permits, blueprints, financing and inspections. I didn't have to shi anything except be present for installation and inspections. They have high quality equipment and they're very efficient, clean and friendly people. All of them were amazing! Team 4 did my install and they showed up and knocked it all out in 3 hours and I had a large install pack. I would recommend Blue Raven Solar to ANYONE that is looking for our remotely interested in going Solar indeed. A+++

Better than I could have imagined! Zander B was my rep and he explained everything really well and it was clear it was going to save me a lot of money over time as well as the environment.
I needed a new roof and some trees removed before I even thought about going solar, and working with Zander at Blue Raven allowed me to get those things done at no out of pocket cost!
Scott and the install team were a pleasure to work with. Very professional, communicative, and fast. Scott modified my design on the spot for a better aesthetic. I'm thrilled with the result and can't seem to stop telling everyone I know about what a great deal Blue Raven has to offer!

Blue Raven Solar is a great company, the consultant,( MARK S) took his time to explain everything to me, on the day of the install, the team was fantastic as well, I kept trying to feed them, and they said they already ate. I highly recommend Blue Raven Solar, to anyone, all my questions where answered. they a very professional, and very knowledgeable. I am looking forward to reducing my electric bill to Very little if any at all. Mark always stayed in touch through out the process, making me feel very great full that Mark was looking out for us, and not for himself,.

I unfortunately had a poor experience with Blue Raven. First they did not appear to understand the local regulations where I live. The installation was done incorrectly per local regulations and required multiple visits for the company to finally get the set up acceptable to the village. It was months from the installation to when the system was operational. Then this winter, after heavy snows, ice and snow slid off the panels onto my car parked in the driveway causing thousands of damage to my vehicle. I emailed Blue Raven, and first they said they had never heard of this issue, and then stopped responding. Looking on line, this is a well known issue in states with snow, with solutions available. Their ignorance of this is unaccpeptable. I would strongly urge you to look for a different company that knows what they are doing

Review updated: Horrible service. I had contracted and at the time, I had just installed a hot tub. through the winter before it was installed My bills were higher, so I got a quote from another company which was more panels. about a month and a half before install, I sent my rep an updated bill to which he blew me off saying it was no problem. Then it was installed, and I had to turn it on, connect to enphase and learn system myself. The rep sent me thermostats paid for out of his pocket, which is kind of shady, and they said they were going to send someone to install which hasnt happened. They are now saying I have to install 6 additional panels to get to 100% offset. Th rep is now telling me things like hybrid systems are good, but non of this was discussed before. I also had concerned that the panels are not lined up in straight lines, which my wife and neighbors have made comments, and again the rep blew me off . To me, the rep is either incompetent since I now have to purchase more, or just greedy and didn't care which is why he blew me off. The company has ceased to respond for requests to make this right or remove it and the loan. DO NOT contract with Blue Raven.

I said I wanted solar panels but they insisted on an hour presentation when I only wanted the details of how much. Then I was told it was a 15 year loan when in reality it was 25 years. I’m a teacher so I said I could only do this during summer. They said don’t worry it’ll get done and we will do it all. Not only was it not done during summer. They also never let me know when things went through like my permit. I did all the work on that side of it. Constantly updating them on the progress of my panels. Then inspections and install had to be a week day. How can I get a sub in my class mid pandemic? On top of that you told me I wouldn’t need to because it’ll be done during summer. Constantly getting calls to schedule a week day install until finally they agreed to a weekend one and then tried to make me be the bad guy in the situation. Install guys were amazing. My contact guy was awful. He even tried to ask if he could stay in my house while I’m at work during the install. I’m going to let a guy I don’t even like into my home without me? No way. Awful service. Then my friend got solar panels from a local place. Way cheaper that I’m pay. Didn’t cost him a car to go green. If I were to do this again I’d go with any other company. This was an awful experience I hope no one else has to go through. And for some reason y’all keep asking me for these reviews. I’ve given you feed back two other times. How many times can I say you’re not a great company to work with till you leave me alone?

Installation looks good and quality of service was good. However when initially approached I was told the solar panels would cover 110% of the energy my house uses. That doesn't seem to be the case. Before the panels were installed my bill was $200-$220 a month during the summer. This past summer and the summer prior my bill has been $120-$140. So in my mind it actually only covered less than 50%. Not worth the money spent in my opinion.

The Solar is just a decieve you will never save anything, I sent blue ravin my yearly bill to send me the best design for my usage, however I have choosen a bigger design for the future incase I have finished the basement and got another furnace. But when in the summer in Utah the sun reaches 37 degrees celcius and I can see the consumption exceed what the solar save, however I installed a smart thermostate. so no difference in using solar you are just paying more!!!!!

Blue Raven was great to work with for my solar install. Not only did they do an incredible job with their install, finishing the project earlier than anticipated and leaving a clean job site and great mechanical appearance, they also helped me easily navigate all aspects of financing, permitting, coordination with my power company, and tax credit rebates. I would highly recommend Blue Raven for anyone interested in pursuing solar install but concerned about upfront costs or unsure of the process.

While it sounds too good to be true, so far so good. The estimate, the planning, the install, etc. everything so far has gone great. We have been making electricity for a couple of weeks so far. Sales Manager, Install Crew were great. Process was VERY easy, Blue Raven Solar took care of everything. They also pay your 1st 18 months of your solar panel loan and the first check arrived without any call center calls. Everything has been as promised, as discussed and as planned. Very happy so far.

They were very respectful and informative about what they were doing and the process. **** Also very pleased with the way it looks **** I was fearful the panels would be an eye sore but they match nicely with our roof and our house being on a slight hill, they do not stick out much at all. Responsive to all my phone calls with knowledgeable answers to all my questions. Kept every apointment for house electrical system up grade and installation. They were very responsive to my request to delay installation one week. Istallation crew was professional knew just what to do and finished it rapidly cleaning up everything when finished. No offensive language was ever used.

So far so good. This was a huge step for my family and I, but the sales and installation team has made the process smooth and painless. I love the modern look that it adds to our home while also going green. I'll write another review in a month or so to let you guys know how well the system holds up, but for now, the customer service was great and the installers were prompt, clean, and very professional.

He went above and beyond, got us great financing and even had dinner with us. The whole team has been ahead of schedule, with great communication from everyone. The install crew...AMAZING. The installation crew was absolutely wonderful. They answered all our questions and "bent over backwards" to make sure the installation was perfect. I particularly want to praise Henry. The only drawback to the whole process was seeming lack of communication in the office. No one told the installers that they would have to remove my solar hot water panels as part of the installation process (this was included in the contract). Removal of these panels and repair of the roof resulting from that removal delayed the installation a full day. The morning of the installation of the PV panels I received a phone call saying that the paperwork needed to initiate the inspection process had, inadvertently, been delayed in delivery and the scheduled inspection had to be moved out. Then, while the installers were just putting on the mounting brackets, I received an email saying that the installation was completed had passed inspection! After I replied noting the error I received a phone call apologizing for this error. Later I received an email saying the inspection would take place on the following day - the day that, just that morning, had been rescheduled a few weeks out. I replied noting the error. I received another email apologizing again saying the later inspection date had been entered in the system but that the original date had not been removed.
The bottom line here is that the sales people and especially the installation crew are just amazing and can't be given enough praise, but the operations at the office leave something to be desired.

Blue Raven folks were courteous, professional, and informative from start to finish. Don explained financial and system details thoroughly. The company took care of all requirements -- recommending an excellent roofing contractor, getting permits, HOA approval, and installation of the system. They kept us informed of status via email throughout. The installers were professional, quick, and very helpful explaining all the system including setup of new smart thermostats. They also were diligent in cleaning up after. We will gladly refer others to this team.

Sales, Mike F was excellent. He stayed involved through the entire process as we had some issues where the home builder had not pre-wired our home for solar. Instead of waiting for the builder to do it correctly, Blue Raven did it themselves. They had extremely knowledgeable, skilled professionals install our system. In reading the very few bad reviews, Blue Raven reaches out and makes the situation right. Our system is not up and running yet, until electric company and inspection is completed, but I am confident if there are any issues, they will stand by their work. Highly recommended.

People were kind, and informational. The set up was quick, and the installation was clean, and they did an excellent job making the panels part of my roof rather than an eye sore. I would use them again and have recommended them to others. (just to mention the 9 star below: I never give a 10 because somewhere somehow there is always someone that might impress me more. However BRS will be hard to beat).

Let me start by saying that the customer service I received has been more than excellent better than I could have expected anytime I needed help they help me when out of their way the rep will help me also stayed in contact to make sure everything was good and working well it was so good I referred my mom who also got solar panels I believe in the company and all the representatives in the people who have helped me I would recommend this company anytime thank you for all your help

We have had the system installed for 6 months now. We are enjoying the benefits of a shrinking power bill!! The federal tax incentive and local incentive made this a no brainer. Plus it’s a really good thing for the environment. We were able to refinance the house after the panels were installed and they valued the system more than we paid for it! Everyone I came into contact though this process was very friendly, informative and efficient. Ian was enthusiast, which made the experience fun and exciting. The entire process has been going very smoothly and the solar panels look great! First off my system just completed the city inspection so it is not turned on currently. However, our sales rep Tyler was amazing answering all of our questions and helping us out whenever needed. The installation was even more amazing! Spent time and quality installing system and even knocked down two hornets nest when asked to. These three guys were rockstars! Provided tips and insight to get the most out of our system. Can’t wait to turn on and go fully solar!

So far so good with the installation, they did show up 45 minutes early which I was not expecting but the installation was done in the time frame they had mentioned, the electrical boxes how ever took quite a bit longer, between three three and a half hours longer, I will not know if there are any problems or issues for a while because of the virus I cannot get any kind of inspection done until the City reopens so I may write more of a review after that process and I have a chance to see if everything is working correctly. But the installation was done in the time frame and so far so good?

Excellent service from the beginning of the process to the end! 100% recommend Blue Raven Solar. Very friendly, professional staff.
The in-home consultation was thorough yet the sales team was not pushy at all. They presented the numbers and facts and allowed us to make a decision.
The installation team was quick and efficient even despite the fickle weather we had that day.
Communication on all ends was great as well throughout the process.

Three installers arrived on time and started right away and loading in early morning of scheduled day and worked nonstop till finished at expected time mid afternoon.
Team lead was exceptionally courteous and kept me informed through out the day of their status including a change in lay out that is expected to produce a higher output and an over view before leaving of all that was done with pictures of the installed panels on the roof.
The only major negative part occurred at the end when view in the install finding out that the panel outside curbing to enclose the panels had NOT been included in the shipment.
Due to squirrels running on the roof and leaves from neighbors trees falling all over my roof I had specifically mentioned to the Sales representative that I would NOT be able to have panels if they were not enclosed as I did not want squirrels running under them or to have piles of leaves stuck under the panels on my roof. The sales representative had ensured me that enclosing the panels was included in the install.
After a few phone calls they were able to send Blue Raven and Idaho power to finish the install of the critter guards and activate the system.

I have been very satisfied with Blue Raven. It has been a seamless experience thus far. Blue Raven seems to be very organized and communication is excellent! The crew that installed the panels were professional and very efficient. I'm just waiting for the city inspection and then PGE to check the meter. Looking forward to using solar power soon!

It has been over a year since we had Mike F with Blue Raven Solar install our system and I am just impressed today as I was excited the day it was installed. I continue to tell my neighbors how excited I am that we have no electric bill. Understanding based on roof availability and people's usage not everyone can have a $0 electric bill, but I would take whatever discount I could take. So if you want the possibility of a $0 electric bill, I recommend Mike F with Blue Raven Solar.

For any homeowner looking to have Solar Panels installed on his or her home whether the reason being a more eco-friendly environment or to just save some money or both, I highly reccomend that you contact Rhett from the company Blue Raven. I was just approved for Solar Panels in my new home and Rhett was the person who helped my husband and I throughout the entire process. Rhett is absolutely amazing as well as very knowledgeable about Solar Panels. He answered every question and addressed all of my concerns in a very timely and professional manner.

Everything with Blue Raven Solar was amazing, start to finish. The process was super smooth and the installation took just a few hours. The panels are stylish and there are no visible wires that make the roof look ugly! Their staff are very knowledgeable and everyone is super friendly. I always reccomend Blue Raven every time I talk about my panels!

In addition, I want to give the installation guys on Boise ID Crew 2 Phenomenal accolades! Taylor, Braden and Dilian hit the ground running, and never stopped until the job was done! They were all professional, knowledgeable and their work ethic was impeccable! If the solar system works as good as these guys, I will be a 110% satisfied!
