DIRECTV had the channels I watched as a kid (mostly Disney), but it was not a reliable service! It would go out all of the time, and we would have to wait for it to buffer, or restart the power in our house!

Prior to switch to a new provider a long time ago we had DirecTV and didn't like them at all. It always seemed overpriced for what we got in our package. We seemed to always have outages and it became to frustrating. A lot of time has passed so maybe they are much better now but that just wasn't our experience.

We had DirecTV for several years. Bad weather would interrupt the satellite reception which can be frustrating. They increase prices for loyal customers. The longer you are a customer, the more the price goes up. That is a broken business model and they lost my business.

I grew up with directv and there never seemed to be any crazy functionality problems, it offered all the channels you could possibly need, and had a competitive price

It’s good service except they no longer carry our local channel. I don’t understand which side responsible for the standstill but it’s gotten annoying

I have not had a good experience even though I have been a customer for 13 years. I'm loyal because it's a pain to switch. Our bill keep going up but the channel offerings goes down. Reception is not consistent and the reception boxes aren't reliable and cost too much to replace.

Love Directtv. So easy to navigate, my 4 year old can find something. So much better than cable. Great customer service. Good value.

I've used direct TV for 2 years, their service was dependent on good weather, when it rained or snowed, the dish didnt work very well. Also they dont offer internet, they partner with Qwest, which billing makes it not user friendly...

We had directv for a short couple months and weren’t very satisfied. The channel selection was good, but the network speed was very slow and our network kept cutting out. The customer service was rather poor and they weren’t helpful when we called for maintenance.

When i use the remote i get quite confused. I love the Sunday ticket and how all the games are at my finger tips. The streaming is usually good from what i have seen.

the service is great- we use direct TV for all our TV's and whenever there are technical difficulties, we are able to get guys out here to fix it.

They just are too costly for their service. They aren’t going to stay a top company if they can’t adapt to the way Netflix and Hulu are doing things.

I use to give DirecTV 5's but I still am waiting on the Pac-12 network to come to DirecTV. I am tired of being told it is in the works (for the past 6 years) and might switch just for the Pac-12 netork.

The packages for Direct TV are competitive, however, the price point is ridiculous. It seems like there is a fee for everything, setting up, cancelling service, ect. I would not recommend.

We have had direct tv for 2 years and it was a little expensive for the quality of service we were getting. Customer service is a nightmare to talk to and usually have to talk and explain the same thing to multiple employees before you get helped.

My least favorite satellite tv provider as I always feel less than important to them. I also feel like my bill was always going up and that because I wasn't a new customer that it meant my opinion didn't matter. The contracts were annoying and I'd rather just have a flat bill rather than the charges changing every year.

I did not enjoy DIRECTV. The programming was the same as all the others, but it went out during thunderstorm consistently. The trouble is I am trying to watch the news during severe weather and DIRECTV didn't all me to do that.

It’s all good until the promotional period ends and the price goes way up. I’m tired of playing the satellite switch between Dish and Direct and for 4 yrs now I have cut the cord and I’m enjoying free TV. Good riddens to companies that don’t listen to customers and provide a better product.

DirectTV charged my family a ton of money for television which for us wasnt really worth it because we dont watch a lot of tv. We ended up cancelling it all together and it wasnt much of a blow to lose the services they provided.

DIRECTV has added a screensaver i.e. another commercial so that every time you pause a show the screensaver comes on with another advertisement, don’t we get enough commercials already?

I would not recommend this TV channel it is over priced and over rated. It has barely anything that is good on when you want, Just get a ps4 and watch Netflix it's way better.

Stay away!!! If you like downloading movies this service is not for you.... They will charge you full price for only watching 80% of the movie because only 80% downloaded... multiple times... stick with cable.

Not worth the high monthly cost and aggravation of not being able to resolve problems by calling the 800 number. Direct TV has a monopoly on this area and they take full advantage of it.

DirecTV is ok when watching basic TV such as the news and game shows. Don't know if it's their fault but they could use better discretion on the choices of movies they play.
