When you cancel the policy you will lose all the money you paid. They wont tell you when selling. Worst company ever seen. They wont repair expensive appliances rather assess and give 200/300$. It's upto you to fix/buy new one where I spent 1750 from my pocket. While cancellation they took non discounted premiums + all service cost they did as part of the contract + cancellation charges. In 4 months with exaggerated premiums I lost more than $1000 DONT LOSE MONEY. SERVICES ALSO VERY WORST. I FEEL IT IS A SCAM, SELLING CONTRACTS WITH SO MANY HIDDEN DETAILS. DONT LOSE YOUR MONEY

Beware! This company is a scam! Called the company and told them my water heater is not working and leaking. Instead of sending a plumber out to look at the problem, they immediately sent an email stating the policy does not cover this issue without even coming out to assess. I requested for cancellation of the policy immediately and they advised that there is a charge of $75 just to cancel the policy. Besides, the call center is overseas and half the time, you do not understand what they are trying to explain to you over the phone. I am going back to American Home Shield!

Terrible experience with this company. I was told certain things were covered and that if I wanted to cancel I would only pay the pro-rated cost for cancellation. After I signed the contract I noticed that there is a $75 service fee for every covered home visit and also a $75 fee in addition to the pro-rated loss for cancellation. To me, this is fraudulent advertising that needs to be exposed so others will not fall into this dishonesty trap.

if I could give negative stars I would- Im surprised there isn't a class action lawsuit against these people. Below is the fine print on their claims for anything. this is how they get away with it. The cash settlement shall be in an amount not to exceed the depreciated value of the component/appliance being replaced. They quote you on the depreciated value of the part you are claiming- so that could be anything that they deem as valid. Customer service is a joke, plus to cancel they charge all these fees ( $75 to cancel plus any prorated amount ).

The BIGGEST LIARS EVER!!!! I brought a home warranty from this company for my home. When I discovered my bathroom shower was not dispensing hot water I called for service. Well as they usually do they denied the claim. Then they told me that if I purchase an additional policy for fixtures it would be covered, so I brought the additional policy. Then 48 hrs later I get another email stating that the repair still wasn't covered! I asked for a refund of both policies and I haven't heard from them in 3 days now. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE THE BIGGEST LIARS OUT THERE!!

I purchases 5 years warranty with this company, and on my first call they can't send me a roofer! This has been going on for 3 months and every time it rains I have water in my kitchen. Now they tell me I need to contact someone and they will reimburse me. I'm supposed to trust them??? I paid them 1800.00 and they can't even give me a name of a contractor to call! Customer service is terrible!

I got one and the service is evaluated by Select Warranty team and they rejected my claim and would not like to reimburse any charge. You really got what you paid for. I bought the warranty when I purchased the property I asked since this is my first time with this company I don't know about the house they said no problem and I paid for a 15 month policy now 8 months later the fan motor on the A/C unit goes out i file a claim the technician comes out inspect the unit said it was normal wear and tear but they won't fix the unit because I don't have 3 years of service records what a rip off this is exactly what I asked when I purchased the policy and they won't let you cancel it either Bad service all around

When I first got to talk talk to the rep Chase R he was very thorough and convincing. I was happy with the deal that I got. I now have a claim and am having difficulties! If I had known it was going to take 2 weeks or more to get my ac/heat pump fixed I would have gone with America's Home Shield like I had planned! Chase R convinced me that Select Home Warranty had the most techs in my area than any one else.

They are total scammers who take your money and do not pay for anything! $429 for a policy, put a claim on my air conditioner, they refused to pay a dime. II then cancelled my policy, and still waiting for the check 3 weeks later. I called them, now I have to have a form mailed to me to fill out to get a refund. What a joke! They never told me that 3 weeks ago. They are delaying on purpose to send a refund, absolutely the worst customer service ever! DO NOT BUY A POLICY FROM THEM>
