I like their sanitation policy, they had a good one in place way before covid. They have great prices on their basic and upgraded memberships. I felt slightly misled that I could sign up for a dollar... I could, however they disclosed lots of additional fees that they charge annually once I got there. Kind of made a great deal turn to an ok deal.

Planet Fitness is another gym I have used back home. I have always been a guest when I go to Planet Fitness, which is something that I think is pretty neat and unique about this gym. However, I took one star away because guests aren't allowed to use all of the resources and services that are offered unless they become a member themselves.

I held a membership here and only have great things to say about it! It was open 24/7 so I could go whenever I had time too. Everything was cleaned up very well and there was always someone available when I had questions.

Ridiculous Rules! The Planet Fitness Gyms is Empty! The one in Richmond California has long standing lines! The wait is 45 minutes to 1hr, only 46 including staff can be inside, that’s insane. It’s like a Ghost Town while standing in line looking in from the outside. No lines at 24hr Fitness or other Gyms in the area. $10 you get what you pay for that’s is for sure. Also the Cleanliness is not up to part, other gyms give you, your own cleaning spray bottle. The spray bottles are deluded with water. When I say the gym is empty! It’s empty and it’s big enough for 100 ppl! The Grocery stores are open and have 100 plus. Go elsewhere!

Planet fitness is a great gym. They have a variety of workout machines and multiple of their popular machines. This is great when the gym is fuller and you don't have to wait as long to use a machine. They have wipes available to whip off the machinery and throughout the day they occasionally clean them too.

Planet fitness is a very respectful train g facility and very widespread. Their trainers are awesome and very enthusiastic. Their prices are awesome for the kind of equipment they have there.

Not even mad... Just Very Disappointed! So, I've been a member at planet fitness for two years now. In 2018, I changed banks and immediately gave planet fitness my new banking information. For 2 months they attempted to retrieve the monthly fee through my old account and each time they tried it incurred a $10 late fee. I addressed this with the Baton Rouge, La, Plank Road location several times; my now former home gym. I thought the matter was cleared up. So today, my 3rd time this week going to Siegen lane location in Baton Rouge, I was denied access after paying these people $24.24 for what seemed like forever... not even the special $10 or $19 price like most people have... I was told I have to pay the balance that was not my fault.... I was handled as if I'd stolen a membership card and tried to workout for free. The guy at the front desk refused to even listen. AND!! I've been working out there throughout 2019, and this is the 1st I hear of any balance. Planet fitness will never get the money because it was a negligence on their end. This is my 2nd bad experience with Planet Fit. If it was my fault, I would've paid the money in 2018.... Two years will not make a difference.... I'll have to pay a little more for Snap or Anytime fitness... After being treated like I was this morning.... Definitely Worth the cost.... And planet fitness isn't a bad gym..... Their billing department apparently sucks! Take care y'all!

Not enough light weight dun-bells. People are hoarding the few light weight dun bells that are there and un willing to share. Two girls working out together that had 5 sets of dun-bells at their work bench. I ask if I could use one set of dun bells to do a quick set and was told "we are using them". I watched for a while and saw they weren't using them and told them I just wanted to do a quick set and would give them back. One of the girls ask me " why are you talking to me" I replied I never-mind am sorry. She replied "you are still talking to me why are you talking to me". They laughed as i walked away. I ask a guy who had several sets and he said no espanol I am considering other fitness institutions.

I used Planet Fitness for 1 year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The facilities were clean, the equipment was in good repair, and it was never too crowded, even in January. I only stopped using Planet Fitness because there was a billing issue and I switched to a another gym that was closer to my job.

I like the gym. Finally built one closer to me. I almost canceled because it was too far. I like the total body red bed. They should do 20 mins 3 times a week instead of 12 mins a day.

Great they are open 24 hours so I can go anytime down side is they have to have a credit card on file and if you don't have one you can't buy anything because they are cashless

Pressure free way to workout. A would like to see a Sauna installed in every location. It would replace one of the Tanning Booths and I would pay extra for it. I wish I could pay by credit card.

I have been to 3 Planet Fitness in 3 diffrent states. They are all good especially the one in West Monroe. They are very friendly and care about their clients. The personal trainers are outstanding ! I have had no issues with any of these gyms.

Outside of cost there should be no reason why anyone would want to go a PF. Equipment is old and outdated and weights are so light that it makes you wonder how much fitness is really going on. Not to mention the pastries in the am which aren't helping anyone get better. Seems there is a culture of lazy and they really arent out to help people with fitness goals.

I went to the planet fitness in forest hill maryland as a guest and the young girl working Katlyn was super helpful and showed me how to use all he equipment!! Also the gym was very clean definitely going to join

I like this gym and havent had any bad experiences with any of the locations Ive been to. Its a simple gym which is all I need. I dont need a pool, sauna or any of those other amenities so this place is perfect! Thats how they are able to offer such inexpensive membership prices.

New member to planet fitness, found the desk staff upon my first sign up to be rude and not understanding of my questions. I will complete my year of membership, but will reconsider others at the end of the year. gym does have plenty of equipment, I have never seen a line or wait for machine.. I agree that the cleanliness could be much improved, along with the lighting in the locker rooms, very dark.

The employees are always welcoming and the facility is clean. I feel like I paid a fair price and always enjoyed going to the many convenient locations. The tanning beds were great and the machines and free weights helped me to workout every muscle.

Good gym for the price. Just found it interesting that they offer tootsie rolls on their front desk, a pizza night once a month, and a bagel breakfast once a month. Some people probably love those perks but for someone trying to get in shape those food choices don't seem the best. They were always super friendly though and helpful if you needed it. We just quit because our promotional pricing went away and we could do what we were doing there at our home. Cancelling was pretty easy though and they didn't give us much hassle.

Very nice clean affordable gym would recommend to friends and family trainers really get you pumped and are very engaging if you have body goals and need help sticking to them the trainers here really know what there doing and make you feel good about yourself only wish they had a pool... oh well

I love this gym. I am so sad I moved to Utah and they don't have one near me. I paid $20 a month and I got unlimited gym, tanning, massages, and I could bring a friend. You can't find a better deal. Plus I could go to any Planet Fitness in the country. I love this gym!

On 3/31/22 i enrolled online for a Black card membership. I signed up for a new member orientation for 4/1/22 so i could be introduced to the machines. I went to my home gym at Kuykendahl Rd in Spring Texas. I arrived on time for my 9:30 am appointment, checked in and i was told to wait, someone would be right with me. 10 minutes later at 9:40 i was told to go over to the 30 minute work out area, someone would meet me there. I waited over there till 9:50 am and no one showed up. There was a client who was waiting before i came in and while i was there waiting i saw him being given a tour of the equipments. I thought that someone would see me after his tour but no one came. Other people were working out in this area and i felt self conscious standing there like a fool. I went back to the front desk to let them know how displeased i was and i asked how could i cancel a membership that i just started.l had also booked a stretch session at 10:30 am which i told them to cancel because at this point this session would also be with Victoria who was a no show for my new member orientation and i was so upset to be treated like i didn’t matter to Planet Fitness. I decided not to meet with her because i did not want my mouth to get the better of me, so i decided on not keeping the appointment. To give readers an insight into the reason why i signed up for a membership… I am a diabetic and last week at my physical / bloodwork my doctor told me that my A1C levels were creeping up and that I should lose some weight. I also feel like i have Arthritis ( non diagnosed), my body is stiff all the time. I decided to do something about it so I could enjoy life and live a longer, healthier life. I was a past member of Planet Fitness years ago so I decided to sign up again. What a disappointment it was for me!!!!! There is a local Boot Camp gym BUT I decided to go with Planet Fitness and blew off the Boot Camp people. Well i was never more embarrassed to be left waiting for such a long time with no one coming to honor the appointment i had. I am not one to play the race card, as I am a confident black woman and i also saw lots of black people in here this morning. I was NOT treated as a valuable customer!!!For whatever the reason Victoria did not honor my appointment today, i am beyond annoyed!!! I took off work today to come to this appointment since it was for health reasons, lost a whole 12 hour shift to be treated like this!!! To sum it all up, i will not let this experience deter me from my personal goals which is to lose weight and be healthier!!!! but i will definitely check out the Boot Camp gym!!! There you go Planet Fitness as i left , i came to my car and wrote this review in the parking lot.

A lot of times there are machines (usually cardio) out of service that need repaired, that sit for weeks or months without being fixed. Makes it hard to get your workout in when all the stair mills are taken because half of them aren’t working. Also, if you want to tan they will only schedule tanning 30-45 minutes out, so you have to stop your workout to tan or schedule to tan, which obviously isn’t convenient. Seems they are catering to the people who only tan, more than those who work out. Staff is friendly.

The management at this club SUCKS!! Darcy does NOT care about fixing the problem with the tanning beds. I informed her in January of 2021 and they're STILL BROKEN!! This is mind blowing. I have video proof of every single bed shutting off early all on its own and they STILL won't call the bed repair company to come out and fix it! I've contacted the regional manager Gabby as well and she doesn't care either! Instead of addressing and fixing the issue they chose to ignore this ongoing issue. I've never been treated so rudely at a business before. The owner should know about this problem not only with his tanning beds but also with this poor management team. He'll definitely start losing customers if he chooses to ignore the problem.

Excellent gym! It's clean, inexpensive and the location is close to my house. The staff are knowledgeable, nice and there really is no judgement. I recommend this gym.

While touring for a membership plan at planet fitness I was not really impressed by the overall cleanliness of the facility. I felt that the customer service was lacking and it was more of a peer pressure type of situation to join. I recommend that they have someone in customer service that is more versatile with body image recognition.

I worked out at Planet Fitness prior for 3 months. Although I liked the idea of cleaning the machines before and after you used them, I felt like I was spending most of my workout time cleaning instead of working out. So, I cancelled my subscription needless to say.

Asked a front desk person about my upcoming annual charges, he said not to worry, no extra charges will be taken out besides my monthly membership. A month later I am charged annual fee. Spoke to Location manager who admitted that they had issues with staffing and training and apologized for misinformation but did not offer a refund. Then I spoke to customer service and they said that there was no misinformation given, but rather a miscommunication and the employee must have misunderstood my question (don't see how much clearer the question could be). In addition front desk staff is often absent, so I am not able to get into a massage chair or any other Black Card member amenities. Full disappointment all around.

I was a new member at planet fitness. I had visited the club and worked out on three separate occasions with my son prior to these events. The third time I worked out I checked in with the manager, he helped me negotiate the app to check in, we exchanged pleasantries, and I proceeded immediately to the workout floor carrying a small gym bag in FULL view of the supposed manager. The prior two visits I had carried the same small bag. In this bag my son and I use it to contain our keys, phone, gloves, a belt, and most importantly diabetic testing supplies. On this third visit I was told that I was not allowed to have a bag on the workout floor. Mind you, it is not a suitcase. Everything was contained in the bag very neatly and the bag was behind the equipment, not in the path where anybody could have remotely walked near it. An attendant at the club inform me it was against the club policy to have a bag on the workout floor. I have never heard of such a thing in my life…not allowed to have a gym bag in a gym(???)! In my mind that would be analogous to banning pocketbooks in a shopping mall. Anyway, I tried to explain the necessity of the bag only to reach deaf ears. Frustrated, I went immediately to the manager who was quite rude and canceled my membership, as he was unwilling to discuss this matter. The manager even falsified my reason for leaving the club on my cancellation papers, as I suspect to protect his monthly membership performance data. At this point, I feel violated, even possibly that my ADA protections have been ignored by this club. So my recommendation to anyone who needs to maintain readily available access to medical equipment consider avoiding this club, because you will have to carry that equipment in hand and let everyone around you know your medical condition(s). Healthcare is supposed to be a private, protected aspect of a person’s life. There’s a sign on the wall that talks about “judgment free zone” and “acceptance”… I would beg to differ at this point based on my experience, the manager’s rude behavior, and the selective application of their policies (I pointed out three suspected policy concerns just standing at the door canceling my membership only to see them ignored).

I have always had good experiences working out at Planet Fitness. Great quality equipment with a really comfortable and safe environment. I also love the affordability of this gym and have found that to be a big pro!

No free barbells so if you want to grow strength you have to do it on a machine or dumbells. Cancellation is a hassle if you don't give 30 days as they will bill you in the middle of their set billing cycle. If you try to stop payments they will void your cancellation request and continue to bill you in their system and send it to collections. Also this "judgement free zone" is quite judgemental if you are try to do any power lifting or make any noise they don't like. If you are looking for a serious gym with actual people that can give fitness advise on site, look elsewhere. If you want to build strength through any power lifting program, don't even consider it.

I enjoy the low price of attending Planet Fitness. I gave this gym 4 stars because I would like to see some more updated cardio machines. This is understandable for the price go the gym.
