Larry Schannault ,

I became a Solar Optimum customer in November 2019. I had interviewed two other solar companies and found the Solar Optimum plan exceptional and what I was looking for. The plan and the implementation was perfect for my energy needs. My bills for electricity went to zero from an average of $325 and with the storage battery i was selling power to the grid. The service from day one was the best as I said. Everyone one I had reason to deal with has been attentive and responsive to my request. The whole experience was flawless.

We completed our solar install with solar optimum during our house renovation and were very happy with the service. Before contacting Solar Optimum, I contacted a different installer who felt like the install would be too difficult. Solar optimum had no problems at all. They were completely professional and helped walk me through the entire process. Would highly recommend.

After shopping and comparing solar system with other competing solar companies, Solar Optimum was our best choice. We have no regrets getting the solar system from Solar Optimum. The customer services were great. The sales Rep was very good, and answered questions patiently. He explained to us how the solar works what to expect and actions to take if we encounter any problem. Also, we were concerned about possible leakage or damage to the roof after the solar panel installation. But no leakage so far even after the rains. I will surely recommend Solar Optimum to my friends.

Solar Optimum has been outstanding! Before Solar Optimum, my electric bill ran from $300-$600 per month. Since Solar Optimum, my highest electric bill was one time $30.00, but since that one time, it has never exceeded $15.00 per month, and I have 2 large refrigerators and air conditioning units for upstairs and downstairs in my home. I am very pleased with Solar Optimum. I highly recommend using them.

Solar Optimum installed panels with Enphase energy inverters in August, 2016. They were great all the way through the process. Customer service representatives have always been very nice and helpful. Their price was very reasonable. The system has worked without any problems ever since the installation! And I am proud of going Green and offsetting my carbon footprint on our planet Earth!

Solar optimum has been a work in progress for me. At first they were incredibly informative and easy to work with. There were a few minor design tweaks here and there, regarding how the shade around our house would be affecting the solar panels. We were able to figure out the best solution. Moving forward, after the design was completed, it took them an unreal amount of time to get the permits for the work. I had emailed multiple people in different departments, asking for someone to give me any updates on my system, and why it was taking so long to get approved/installed. Apparently someone had dropped the ball on actually filing for ALL the necessary permits, thus pushing the job completion date farther behind. I unfortunately had to call the city building department myself to get answers and relay them to solar optimum before they would listen to me. Their excuse was "we didn't know Pasadena had this 'extra' permit needed to complete the work." Once that was all sorted out, the work began. As far as the actual work of installing the panels, they did an outstanding job! Completed the work incredibly fast, and left no mess. Since then, they have been easy to get a hold of whenever I've had any questions regarding my system, and how to properly monitor and maintain it. I only gave this review 4 stars because of the lack of urgency and professionalism during the permit process stage.

I installed 25 Panasonic solar panels with Enphase energy inverters in August, 2019. Solar Optimum was great all the way through the process. They were quick to respond with all communications. They quickly got the permits from the city. The price was very competitive. The installation was very quick (took 3 days). The only issue found by the city inspector was to change the labels on the electrical boxes. The system has worked great without any problems!

They made the process of getting solar panels very easy. I don't think about it now, except that I have a much lighter conscience about our pollution footprint. Anyone with a sunny roof should at least call them and check out how much it would cost for their specific situation. In our case, we pay less overall on energy now (monthly bill from the city plus the monthly loan payment for the solar panels) than we used to pay (when we just had a monthly bill from the city). The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that our city dragged their feet on giving final approval to activate the system, and solar optimum didn't follow up quite as attentively as they could have. Once I called about the delay, they got the approval and activation done quickly.

Solar Optimum worked closely with us through a lengthy approval process with the City Design Board, due to the house being on the registry. It was the first time a registry home had solar installed and they made sure the visual integrity of the house and neighborhood were preserved according to the required standards. They went above and beyond anything I've ever seen from a company and we appreciate that effort very much. Solar Optimum has been helpful, friendly and responsive to us since our install. We recommend them for anyone looking for an honest partner in taking the solar leap.

Solar Optimum did a great job with our home solar system. We purchased in 2018 and Sean was our sales rep. They were on time and on schedule and Sean was a pleasure to deal with. He was very thorough, explained the different options, and straight forward with the pricing. They even noticed when my system wasn't transmitting energy production and contacted me. Solar Optimum competed with other companies to get my business. They offered the best equipment and roof warranty out of all the companies that I researched. They also helped me get the best available solar energy loan for my system. Once I was approved for the loan, they installed the equipment and had my system up and operational really fast. I recently had issues with my home modem and they offered to upgrade my monitoring equipment for free so that I could continue to monitor my system's performance. Very friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend Solar Optimum.

Last summer gave me a good impression of what my bills would look like next season. I decided to look into ways to help me break even. I explored thermal panels for a while but got mixed reviews from friends and websites. I looked into solar next. Solar provided a much larger saving since most my devices were electric and they added if I had an electric heater, the solar could help then. I decided to pull the trigger and get my system installed before the summer months took their toll. I've had my solar up for a few months and have been monitoring my savings from the app that came with it.

Solar Optimum gets five stars mainly on the basis of service. It is not hard to come by a Solar Company that you want to hire to optimize on the tax credit but here you deal with real people who are responsive and get the job done. The tech that completed the install and follow up was professional, courteous and mindful of his customers on his schedule while working on our house. So far we have not had any issues or concerns and would no doubt refer them to others as a trustworthy and reliable business

My experience with Solar Optimum very good. Everyone was so helpful. The techs were polite and considerate as I am a person of many questions. They always arrived when they said they would. They were very careful to clean up the work area and took great respect of my home, like they were never there. It took 3 days to install the panels and battery as initially promised. On the day of the county inspection the lead electrician was there to answer questions and make sure everything was in order, passed on first inspection. It has been 5 months since the install and everything works perfectly.

After retirement I moved up to be closer to my kids. We loved the home and the neighborhood but were not used to these rolling blackouts that we had heard of. Sometimes it was only for an hour or two but other times would last hours into days. The generator we had worked but was noisy as heck and required constant refueling. We finally decided to look into solar and battery since some of our neighbors had already gone that route. I can't tell you the level of comfort and safety these two additions have brought to us. knowing we can be self sufficient despite the conditions outside.

Being a first time home buyer, the concept of adding solar to my home was always one of the first things I wanted to add, especially living in a place like SoCal where the weather allows us to reap the benefits of solar energy. It's been a lengthy process to say the least, but one that I am thoroughly enjoying to learn more about.
