Worst company ever!! They are just scam artists!! I would highly recommend that anyone considering using Choice Home Warranty review the lawsuit and settlement from the New Jersey Departmet of Consumer Affairs wherein New Jersey laid out in detail the deceptive practices that Choice Home Warranty engages in to avoid paying claims. Choice Home Warranty admitted no wrongdoing but paid $780,000 to settle. In my dealings with Choice Home Warranty they continue their deceptive practices to deny legitimate claims. Unfortunately I found out too late!!

I don't know how to give negative stars but I would if I could. Bottom line is that I'm having to move my family Thanksgiving Dinner in 2017 because Choice Home Warranty has not responded in timely manner nor provided good customer service. I have done everything they suggested and now I need to get a second company to get repair evaluation on a microwave oven that cannot be repaired because of parts availability. Shame on You Choice!

This company does everything to make it as uncomfortable as possible and then finds a reason not to fix nor replace as they advertise. SAVE YOUR money, do not buy this home warranty!

Terrible experiences. The first time or two we had reputable service companies provide the service and it seemed ok. But the last couple of times service techs arrived in personal vehicles, how professional is that? and the the claim was rejected for exclusions. My fault, should have read closer. For new customers read what is excluded not what is covered. The fine print will get you every time. Some of their justifications to deny claims can not be found in exclusions.

I was talking to someone on the phone about coverage and options with intent to purchase a plan. The gentleman I spoke with only seemed interested in my credit card number. This was concerning. I told him I would like to understand the options before signing up for this service. He then told me to do my research before I call and hung up on me. I did my research which is why I chose to call this company. But, the research clearly failed me. I would never give my business to someone that treats their customers this way.

Compressor for my air conditioner failed. CHW sent a HVAC representative from across the river, Council Buffs, versus using a local Omaha representative. My AC unit was installed in 1996 and the compressor was warranted for 10 years. CHW stated that the compressor was not serviced properly so it wasn't covered. The compressor had operated successfully for 21 years and had simply worn out. In addition, they wanted me to provide invoices showing that I had annually serviced it. Who keeps invoices for 20 plus years. CHW is a scam. Don't BUY!

I got a call from a service rep today. After explaining to him that I was looking to switch my warranty because the old one was expiring and I wanted to see if there were any better deals the rep said "that's understandable". I then asked could he send me an email so I can compare what I have to what they were offering he said "it's on the website" then he hung up. I will never communicate with this company about anything.

Choice warranty sucks I recommend anybody looking for a service contract stay very far away from his company. They look for every way to get out of fixing anything or covering anything Check all the complaints look at the lawsuit from state of New Jersey and state of Washington and a lot of other complaints. I plead with everybody who has had the service to tweet how bad they are.

This company is a total scam. They do not want to pay for anything and expect the owner to pay for all repairs and their wasted deductibles. This is my first year with them and last one. Had to out of pocket for a new water heater, washer, disposer, plumbing for a burst line, and toilet valve. All instances I called them up and had to pay the 45 usd copay for them to say that they won't cover it. I will stick to Craigslist contractors. Never again will I purchase this scam.

My claim for a plumbing repair was denied- the problem needed to be fixed by "jetting" the clog. According to the authorization dept, that was not covered under my policy. I was told on the phone by a representative of Choice Warranty that only rust or corrosion would be cause for denial. As usual, this insurance company was happy to take my premium, but always finds a loophole to avoid paying a claim. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND DO NOT RECOMMEND CHOICE HOME WARRANTY

Choice Home Warranty is a scam. The lied to us about our claim. We called the company that inspected the AC on behalf of Choice Home Warranty. The information provided by the technician was misrepresented by Monica and Latisha at Choice Warranty. They denied the claim even after we confirmed their [Choice Warranty's] misrepresentation. We cancelled the warranty at an additional cost to us! This company is running a scam and homeowners need to be wary.

I bought the three year plan. What a mistake. They have NEVER fixed anything. They have the worst repair companies ever. And this is from A/C repair, plumbing repair, Appliance repair. They all have crummy equipment and are incompetant. They are cheap for a reason. They have the scum repair companies so you end up paying twice to get it fixed right. I have had to hire other companies to come and repair items and they all do it without a problem. BUYER BEWARE11

Quick respond. Service rep checked out the refrigerator and found the problem quickly. However the compressor is not in their stock and will take a week to 1 1/2 weeks to arrive.

Fridge out since 11/1. Can’t repair it so they are sending a check, that definitely will NOT cover a stainless steel French door with freezer at the bottom. But I have found a few t other kind, within the $736 price range. But they said it takes 30 days to process the check. So I have to wait until JANUARY before I can get a fridge. We are grandparents with 2 grandchildren with food allergies and Epi pens. On a fixed income. We have been going to churches and food banks. We just moved her the end of October and we don’t know anyone here. Now our truck is down, probably due to the constant driving, because we can’t store food. But, at least they are SENDING A CHECK in January. Way to go CHOICE! I have already told several friends about my situation and 2 people I know decided to go with another company. Y’all knew in November that you needed to replace it, so why didn’t y’all get the check ready at that point., Yall definitely DO NOT CARE about your customers. After my year is up, I am going with another company.

Most items are not covered and if they are, it must be very specific issues. Our dishwasher went out and they only provided $250 to replace. That barely covered delivery and installation. We had to come out of pocket for the actual dishwasher. Not a fan of the company and would never recommend anyone to use them. The app is somewhat convenient and the ability to send a message via the “chat” option” can be helpful.
