The initial Tec plummet was inept and said he couldn't do finish the job. When a Real Plumber came out he axas able to do the job easily and professionally. He is great from Your Texas Plummer. Truly professional. Had the AHS customer Service representative listened to me from the start it would have been much better. But the plummet from Your Texas Plummer was Great

I have used American shield for my repairs and I always have a great quick experience. People just need to be flexible. They could not fix my machine and I loved it and they ordered me a new one the same day. Now that is excellent service! The repair man here in Colorado- Chris's appliance and repair was so professional and caring. The lady from American Shield in Georgia was so professional and caring.. thank you American Shield if there were 10 stars you would get them. My friends that I have recommended also have great experiences. Thank you Thank you!

The American Home Shield (AHS) Customer Service Team provided professional and expedient service. The heating and cooling service call was seamless. AHS expedited the order for the new HVAC system. The heating and cooling company's owner advised, without the home warranty the new heating and cooling system would have cost $6,000.00 to $8,000.00 dollars out of pocket. Thank you AHS!

American Home Shield has, for the most part, been worth the price we've paid for the home warranty service it provides. On the positive side, it is very easy and quick to initiate a claim online. Additionally, in our experience, the company's AHS have used or contracted with have always provided timely, highly qualified, professional, courteous and friendly technicians. One relative new plus AHS offers now is the ability to live chat with them. Our first and only use of this feature recently was very positive including short wait time (3-4 mins)for customer service rep to be available for chat session. On the less than positive side, AHS seems to be understaffed with customer service reps when it comes to contacting them via phone, not only for customers such as us, but also the contractor performing the repair. Just recently, pr AHS contractor was in our home waiting a good 30-45 mins to get approval to perform the job after he diagnosed what needed to be done. I have waited over an hour on hold in a couple of prior occasions since subscribing with AHS almost 2 years ago. That is the big frustration when it happens for sure. I suspect AHS is not alone with this issue in their industry but it does seem a simple problem to fix by expanding their CSR staff. Again, the live chat ability now seems to definitely be an improvement to their CSR contact experience. The only other disappointment is what AHS replacement considers equivalents, for major appliances specifically, falls way short of replacing the appliance with an equivalent appliance and at least in our case they were offering a different brand that didn't have all of the features that our original appliance had . Wr took cash out option and paid the difference so the appliance would match its companion appliance. All of that said, we do plan to renew or annual contract with AHS when our current contract expires. The good service provided still outweighs the less than positive concerns. No doubt, AHS is not alone in their industry concerning these concerns.

After I submitted my claim to AHS, it was immediately assigned to Appliances and More (who, in turn, contacted me and set up an appointment). The technician was prompt and solved my issues; there were two. The microwave needed a part (a board). It arrived in a few days and he was immediately dispatched to our home and it was repaired in minutes. Kirk was professional and courteous.

My needed home repair was very easy to get fixed with AHS. Simple to navigate system, and an almost immediate reply with a local company. The company name, address, phone number and repairman's name were all sent to me. Scheduler worked with me on getting convenient hours for me, not them. AHS also sent a survey right after work was done on how repairman did. I highly recommend using AHS to fix your home repair issues.

I bought my home and the furnace stopped working 2 days in! I was scared but I went online and filed a claim with AHS (which was extremely easy). I paid the service fee of $75. I got confirmation after it was completed and a notice I should be receiving a call within 24hrs from the assigned company who will be coming out, and I did. The contractor was super helpful and got things working immediately (turned out it was a loose wire!). Super happy about the process.

AHS enlisted A-US Air to come out and repair my furnace! The repair company is very good with very good employees who know their jobs. The repaired my furnace in a matter of 1 hr and was very proficient, knowledgeable and courteous. I would highly recommend this A/C repair company to anyone who is in need of having any issues with their central Heating and Air repaired. Thanks AHS for all you do!!

So far so good! My water heater was leaking, and American Home Shield sent Virtual Plumbing out. Tyler H and another repairman were fabulous. They replaced my water heater! They were professional and on time; they did an amazing job! American Home Shield only charged me for the service fee, nothing else. I couldn’t be happier with my first experience with AHS and Virtual Plumbing!

I was in awe with them. They went beyond what I expected to get my water heater replaced. When the first company tried to tell them it was caused by a power surge and not to be replace by warranty so that it would cost me $1500 American Home Shield called and told me they were sending me a second opinion. And not to tell them what the first company said to get me a fair quote. And the 2nd company was superb. They looked out for me and American Home Shield.

American Home Shield has been a great peace of mind to have, because they are but a phone call away from getting my appliances back to working order or they’ll replace it with a new one, without any problem. You also have three months guaranteed warranty, if the appliance brakes down, Their best contract technician without a doubt is Jose with Valley Pro. They also have great customer service and are the best company as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been with other companies in the past and I can honestly say that American Home Shield is the Best!!!

We have been with AHS for 20 years. We had one lapse in a year because of moving to another home, covered by another warranty. We dropped that one for poor service and quickly re-signed with AHS. They are prompt, courteous and have always provided us with competent companies who have repaired or replaced items to our satisfaction. Would recommend AHS to anyone searching for a reliable home warranty.

This was the first time that we've had a home warranty and our garbage disposal stopped working about two months into our service. I checked that we were covered for that under our contract and we were! Reporting it on line was a snap and within--literally!--seconds, we had an appointment set up with a very good local plumber. They were there the next morning and made the repair promptly and efficiently. All we paid for as the service fee which was about 1/3 of what the normal service call would have been with this plumber. Great service and we saved money already!

Beginning with the call for help. The agent whom had taken my call was attentive to our needs. She scheduled a company to visit our property and assess the problem. The technician, Tony contacted me about 20 minutes prior to his arrival. He inspected the furnace determined the problem, he didn't have the replacement part in his van. he then contacted his office and another employee met him and delivered the part. Tony installed it and our furnace is working smoothly again. Thank You, AHS and Climate Pros of Northern Nevada. Sincerely The Foster Family

For the monthly payments and the quality of the service I have received each time it is well worth it. The companies Home shield have send out to do work on my batheroom toilet and my heater, were very professional. There arrived on time and made sure everything was in working order. The person or persons who came out also explain problem and how it was repaired.

I'm a huge fan and grateful customer of American Home Shield. Being a home-owner, it is so reassuring to me that if something inevitably breaks down, one call to AHS and they will send reliable contractors to fix the issue. And if the issue is not fixable, they will replace with an equal or better model. They have replaced my Super Capacity Washing Machine and my Hot Water Heater. I have nothing but praise and the highest recommendation for AHS.

This is the first time I have used the warranty. My washer was making a terrible noise and I called AHS. They had a service person call me the next day. He came and picked up the washer for repair. He ordered the parts, which took longer than he had thought. He delivered the washer back in a week and so far it is working fine. I am very pleased with the service.

America Home Shield was a very good investment when we bought our home a few years ago. AHS uses latest technology when setting up a repair and it moves quick. The few times we had repairs done it was set up and complete within 24 to 48 hours from time of call, the contractors were first class and very professional. I highly recommend AHS to anyone seeking a home warranty.

It's a little early in the relationship to be writing a review, all I've used it for was re-keying the locks, but Alex, the technician, was quick, neat, personable, and gave excellent customer service. It took only a few moments from placing a call to American Home Shield and receiving confirmation that I'd get an email or call from the locksmith.

I used the website to report a problem with our gas furnace (Colorado in February), I received a text almost immediately from AHS with details of the company that would be contacting us. The company themselves called me within 15 minutes to set up an appointment for the next morning. Their call out fee was more than the amount it cost me through AHS, so I would recommend it to anybody.

I have had AHS since the day I received the keys to my home 2 1/2 years ago. I couldn’t have a better new home welcome gift. While the communication with American Home Shield can occasionally be a challenge (e.g. long wait time to speak with live representative), the quality of service provided by the company - as measured by its licensed contractors arriving on time and performing reliable repairs - is excellent! We carefully researched various home warranty firms and understand why AHS enjoys a positive reputation, as evidenced by the large number of independent customer reviews. It is without hesitation we would recommend them to other homeowners!

We have been a policy holder with AHS for 13 years. I can't speak for others but we have greatly benefited from our coverage. Any issue that has come up has been taken care of by AHS and we are very pleased with the fact that they repair or replace exactly what the policy states. We are very grateful for this peace of mind that "help" is just a phone call away! Don't ever want to be without it!

We had an AC compressor go bad. I called AHS and they assigned the job to AirBoss here in the Tampa area. They called within 30 minutes of being assigned, were very informative, sent guys out who confirmed the problem and ordered the replacement compressor. When it came in they called to schedule the installation, and did so with no issues. We paid the service fee and cost of refrigeration above the AHS covered limit. That's what the contract called for so we are happy with the way the process went. We have absolutely no complaints with either AHS or AirBoss Mechanical Tampa

I called Anerican Home Shield to report I had a problem with my stove, It was not lighting properly and had a crack in glass surface possibly effecting the lighting. Suffolk Appliance responded to the request with in an hour to set up an appointment to check the stove. The tech reviewed and made up a parts list and once the parts were in, they scheduled repair which included a top replacement and rebuilding of 4 burners. Very pleased with result, I was surprised they found the parts.

So far I have four properties with AHS. Recently just replaced ice maker on both refrigerators, Heat Pump that was 20 years old, and they stepped up and paid for the damaged item, saving me $1400 towards an upgraded unit from 13 Seer to 16 Seer, Stove 20 years old with coils, totally replaced, but I upgraded for $200 for flat top, and other issues during the year as far as maintenance on heat pumps. Reason for choosing AHS is the potential cost of water heaters, heat pumps/ Hvac, and plumbing. It pays for older homes.

My husband and I have had AHS since July of last year (2018). We've made three services calls of which two were completed exceedingly. one was a problem with the ice-maker in the refrigerator of which AHS sent out a technician within a day or two determined appliance was not repairable and was informed of options for replacement and within 10 days a new refrigerator was delivered at absolutely no cost to us. Second call was regarding a an electrical issue of which AHS sent an electrician and repaired promptly and satisfactory. I would have give 5 star rating were it not for the issue regrading HVAC repairs. This has been an ongoing issue for the last couple months but I honestly believe this is due to the contractor the has been assigned to repair the appliance. Overall I would recommend AHS to friends and family, my only critique is the company can do a better job answering the call when service is needed or implement a website that allows customer to freely interact with representative for on-going issues and follow-ups.

I’ve had coverage fro AHS for 10yrs on my current home and have always had an excellent experience with any and all repairs. I’ve had to use my coverage on average once a year. The employees of the company have always been professional, courteous, and respectful. The repair personnel have been professional and taken care of repairs or replacements of unrepairable object in question. I am a single female, 70 years old.. having AHS keeps me from being taken advantage of by companies that don’t have my best interest in mind. I think every single female that owns their own home should have this coverage.

American Home Shield assigns a contractor for the particular problem once I file a claim. This time it was plumbing, specifically, my hot water heater. The original contractor would not respond to my calls so I contacted the company and we discussed assigning Camden Services. I have had previous excellent experience with this company and this time was the same. They responded quickly and did a perfect job. I am grateful to them as well as AHS for assigning this company without argument. Thanks for the professional assistance on both of your parts. RP

I would not be without AHS. I started out with American Home Shield's, and for some crazy reason I went to another company. As soon as that contract year was up because of the difficulties I had with that company, I came running back to American Home Shield as fast as I could. I guess this was partly our fault, but when we needed our furnace repaired, the technician indicated he has approved for us to purchase the thermostat since he didn't have one like the one we had to replace it with . He indicated AHS would reimburse us in full for the cost and we purchased one like the one we had. That in fact was not the case, they would only reimburse for a set amount and not what we had paid. We felt with all the years we have been with AHS and not had many claims, they could have reimbursed us for the full amount. We were not pleased with this outcome. We am, by the way, still waiting for the reimbursement.

An AHS warranty was included for a year when i purchased my house in 2011. We started having electrical issues and AHS came out and two awesome techs fixed us all up. Since then I've had an old washer repaired, stopped up drains cleared, a new well pump (in like 4 hours from call to completion), and a old oven repaired. All service has fabulous. My mom has AHS warranties on all her properties now too. I think AHS is a must have, especially for older homes.

My furnace went out after purchasing this home 6 months ago. I went online and submitted a claim at 0400 in the morning and the agents from American Home shield got back to me within a couple hours. They had a HVAC technician out there that day and it was repaired within 3 days due to needing to order a part. Absolutely the best investment I've made, the one year plan cost $600 that the sellers paid for and this repair alone would've cost $800 but I only paid $70 for the service call. Would definitely recommend American Home Shield if you are purchasing a house.

They have always been very responsive to our requests. After a very frustrating warranty issue with a 13 month old refrigerator with interactions with Sears regarding the failed compressor, numerous calls to Sears corporate offices, an AHS representative was extremely interactive with Sears to work out a solution. I've been a member of AHS for over ten years and have benefit greatly from my warranty contract with them. There have been a few incidents where their selection of service technicians are in questioned. I have had conflicts with initial service visit payment, in which I had to send to AHS the honored pay stub from the bank as proof of payment. After 10 years of membership, I find this somewhat disturbing and insulting. However, it would seems that I was not alone in this conflict, AHS has recently given its members the option pay the initial service on online when putting in a new claim, which is good but they still need to run better background checks before assigning service technicians to their customer's claims.

Pro: for only a minimal service fee I have 13 major items in my home covered for parts and labor. Labor is the most expensive part. Recently, I learned that for just one service fee ( mine is $125 per visit) I can group numerous repairs at one time for the one same service fee. I like that. A recently changed policy I also like is that I can now opt to have my service fee charged only after 2 days after the job has been completed instead of before and I also like that I pay American Home Shield directly instead of the old way which was to pay the contractor directly. Customer service when needed is par excellence. Con: A small con is that I cannot choose my own contractor I research or at very least can choose among a group that American Home Shield offers. Currently, there is no choice. The worst part of all is that calling to speak with billing is near impossible and frustrating. Also, they increase your monthly subscription every year with absolutely no form of negotiation or loyalty (years as a customer or "lifetime Value") usage, amount of items covered measured to determine, customize, maintain same subscription price or even reduce. This is a big problem that could eventually sever my relationship with American Home Shield one day. If they have integrity they will put my pros and cons on their website untouched! Let's see.
