United Healthcare's HSA website seems very limited and archaic to me. It's hard to find all the information I look for. They also do not approve medications I need to function at work, so I have to pay for those out of pocket. It seems the pre-authorization process will never be successful for certain medications for anyone.

United Healthcare Medicare Advantage had very few dentists in our city. Our dentist just called to say they will no longer accept our plan. The only practice left specializes in kids but takes adults, only with wait of months for appointments. It must be a really lousy plan if nobody wants to accept it.

If people are saying this is a good company for your health needs they lying. They deny really important medical needs for clinical findings such as blood work. How can a doctor do their job without proof a person have a condition. It’s so many things I can say but boy I’m gonna change them as a emergency.

$700 for $6500 deductible and there are always surprise bills. It’s cheaper to pay cash than use insurance for prescriptions and counseling. Also, this company got more than a billion dollars from tax payers, you’d think they hire someone to answer the phone.

Just signed up with them through Healthcare.gov. It is HARD to get someone online, their info is confusing and they send you to different departments to get a straight answer. I asked for a manager 3 times and got placed on hold for over 5 minutes each time. I'M DONE WITH THEM!!!

Absolute total and complete garbage. We had an HMO dental plan and the only available dentists were the WORST and it literally saved us NO money. Hours and hours on the phone spent with them trying to get answers and we never got any that made sense. DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE!

Horrifically incompetent staff who have no regard for our health at all. My claim was urgent and they refused to escalate the case causing me to reschedule various surgeries - my cancer is getting worse and spreading and they do not care. Worst provider on earth. Stay away - scam.

I have had a horrible experience with UHC. I have been going back on forth with them about paying my 2.5 son's medical bill for his ear tubes. They keep on giving me a denial of service. Horrible and difficult people! Avoid them if you can.

Worst healthcare. I have a frozen shoulder and was denied physical therapy after 8 visits. They want me to die from sleep deprivation from the pain. This healthcare is a joke. I pay them 135 dollars a week and rarely go to the doctor. The one time I need help I get denied. Stay clear of this fake healthcare

Despite having a plan that includes dental coverage for routine care, when my dentist repeatedly submitted claims they were rejected---the stated reason usually was that I wasn't a member of UNH. Trying to obtain resolution of this problem proved impossible because of a impenetrable web of bureaucracy. Go elsewhere if you want your claims paid.

I have been going to the same pharmacy for the last 8 years and now I have to change pharmacies because the insurance company decided starting October 1st that they would no longer participate with them. We called in advance to make sure they would cover my wife’s prescription before she got discharged from the hospital after surgery. They said yes then when I got to the pharmacy-denied. Doctor would have had to call in preauthorization. Horrible company and service.

As long don't have an HSA or need any help, it's probably fine. Online access is terrible and you have to call for assistance. I'm currently waiting for my eligible medical expense to be taxed because I can't provide "acceptable" proof of eligibility, and I don't have hours to spend to get this resolved for something that is fault of my own.

I am so upset. I had Anthem bcbs for many years through my employer. July 1,2019, my insurance co. changed to United healthcare. I am having a vein procedure done soon, that Anthem was going to cover. United healthcare denied the claim, saying it is not serious enough. Now I have to pay 4,000 for s necessary procedure.

They are terrible, you have to pay every month, but they offer a discount of medical's appointment or studies, and they don't cover the basic preventive care. In addition, you never know how much the bill of your in-network will be.

So far they suuuck. Took them seven weeks to process the application. Went to register on their website, and it said it couldn't find me. Call center put me on hold for 15 minutes and then disconnected me -- twice. Kept telling me to "call your HR.' I AM HR!!!

These guys are absolutely horrible. People who are getting pregnant need to beware of the following 1. No ultrasounds covered 2. If you have a high risk pregnancy and your OBGYN orders lab and radiology tests, not covered 3. If your referring doctor is a OBGYN and not a Prenatal doctor, all the services are not covered.
