Very upset. I have been on CarGurus for a month now and every time I call for a vehicle, it has been sold. This company is NOT updating it's site. I am a business owner and do not have time to waste. I sent my business manager 150 miles to purchase a van, only to be told by the owner that he sold it underneath us for "cash"!

Purchased an alfa Romeo. Sent to pick it up 500 miles away. Car broke down and they want me to bring it 500 miles back to look at it or its on me. I would never have bought on line if that's how they play. My experience horrible. This high end car and this poor service.

THE WORST EVER! Such an organized SCAM! Paid 4.95$ to post add plus $19.99 to have add listed first only for them to apply some crappy algorithms to my add calling it "OVERPRICED" DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Check out BBB - they have CarGurus complaints

Absolutely terrible company. Extremely overpriced and a lot of their website tools don’t even function properly. I constantly have to refresh CarGurus webpages because of all the errors and glitches. This company allows fraudulent reviews which harm local dealerships and they don’t do anything to remove negative reviews. Not worth the money.

I have been waiting for for 9 weeks to receive the title for the car I purchased. When I finally do make contact with someone I’m am told that there is nothing more they can do. So I have this car that I have paid for but cannot drive. This is highly upsetting.

CarGurus is nothing more than a marketing tool for car dealerships. The price quoted on CarGurus is bait to lure customers into the dealership. Once there, you'll find markups, disguised as a "performance package" or "dealer prep" that adds $1,500-$2,000 or more to the price.

Dealership ratings are not very accurate. I bought from a dealership based on their ratings and it was a big mistake. The dealership (Palmen Motors) was a total joke . Never again will I rely on Cargurus dealership ratings because they are not accurate at all.

Cargurus sucks. It forces the dealer to post low ball prices with hidden fees and ghost down payments. That makes the dealers look bad but they are just trying to sell cars. Why would anyone post a car for sale that is $4000 or more below Cargurus market price?

I would not recommend CarGurus. CarGurus and Russell Westbrook Chrysler dodge Jeep Ram of Van Nuys both failed to mention that the car I bought Had damages on the left front and left rear fender. CarGurus should do a better job of getting as much detail as possible before listing the vehicle.

Not even 1 star. steer clear. If you find a buyer they block all addresses, phone numbers and there is no way to contact them directly. I have a 2013 Honda Civic with less than 1800 miles. they said it had about 164000 miles.

This company appears to be a scam company. They allow you to advertise on their site but control all communications between you and the buyer. They do not allow the buyer to contact you. The buyer has to actually agree to buy the vehicle through them before they are allowed to see it. Do NOT use this company!

Very unprofessional and proper ripoff. As they’re not registered in the UK so they will lie, and do whatever it takes to get you signed up and start charging you. But the response is very very bad after you start paying for it. Avoid it. Dealerships be careful.

I work for a dealer in South Texas, we signed up with CarGurus and after the first year they raised our rate by 160%; the following year they tried to do 172%. We terminated them. They have a very low overhead, and GREED has entered into their business model.

CarGurus quickly distance themselves from any direct interaction with those persons listing a vehicle for sale on their site especially when that person FAILS to honor an agreement that was FACILITATED BY CARGURUs...such a weak argument....definitely calls into question their commitment to the customer and their business model.

I emailed a dealer on Carguru indicating what care I was interested in. They emailed me back saying to call them but did not mention car I wanted. I gave them a 1 star rating on Car Guru. Car Guru would not post my review stating violation of terms of agreement. What terms?

Customer service at car gurus is non-existent. Beware when looking at dealership reviews. There is a reason you won't find many negative reviews. They are removed. XYZ motors sold us a salvage truck that needed $3900 in repairs out the door. I still have not gotten any use out of it and I bought it a week ago.

Beware when looking at dealership reviews. CarGuru is selective on on the reviews placed by buyers. If the dealership wants a negative review removed. CarGuru will remove it. So we don't get the full picture when dealing with these dealerships.

Terrible customer service. Accused of falsifying reviews with no supporting documentation. Who has time for this and why would anyone ever worry about a review on this Mickey Mouse site? Seriously? This dealer CANNOT RECOMMEND.

This company force you to sign up with them with a paid membership if not they deliberately delete dealers good review but leave the negative reviews if there is any, and they say positives are suspicious. very bad and lazy customer relationship as well.don't trust this site especially dealers be aware.

I advertised my car for sale on Cargurus. I received over 5 emails in reference to my car, but never would receive any responses back after I acknowledged the potential buyer email. I had my husband to contact me through Cargurus, as a potential buyer. He never received my response back. I see why it is free.

This page is a mere decoy, Once you find the car you are looking for, you contact the supposed dealer, and it so happens to have been already sold, but sure enough, they are presto ready to offer you a "nice alternative". Still a week or more days later, the car is still showing there... This has happened to me uncountable times. Ughr!

After writing my review at their CARGURUS' request, they removed it because the dealer didn't like it. Thats a democratic system at work, the dealer (nor CARGURUS) doesn't accept any honest reviews from the same people they requested a review from.....incredible!!!

I have been in the car industry for 22 years and I can't believe their billing practices. We are a multi-franchise store and their billing is a month in advance and if you don't pay by the 15th of the month they will take your inventory down and still charge you for services they did NOT provide.

Do NOT purchase any car here under any circumstances. They are shady dealers who will not send off your warranty as you can see by the link it has happened many times. The reviews you see that are 5 stars are usually friends of the people who work there or the employees themselves.

I recently used CarGurus searching for a particular vehicle, make, model, color, trim, package, cost, miles, location. I wanted a specific car. As with other online car search platforms, you get a lot of vehicles that you are not interested in and don't meet your requirements. You spend way too much time trying to change search fields if possible, to find what you are looking for. Often, your search selection is lost when you toggle between cars, but it is also frustrating that paid sponsors or dealers cars are presented first when your search should have eliminated them.
