Wyndham Vacation Rentals

A National Emergency has been declared and we are experiencing a Pandemic. My home state has been restricted from traveling to FL and we have had to cancel our kids wedding due to all of this. You would think that they would make some allowances but they refuse to give us any kind of monetary refund. Due to loss of income for who knows how long we are not able to book some future vacation. They will not even allow me to speak to a manager or supervisor. I can only have my name put on a list. I'm sure Emerald Isle is a nice place to stay but I would scroll blindfolded through Craig's List to find accommodations before EVER renting anything through Wyndham Vacation Rentals or ResortQuest.....EVER. NO stars are deserved.

We love Folly Beach and had frequently rented vacation homes there - in the past, we had used Avocet Properties - and we were always pleased with this company. In September 2019, we rented again a house on Folly Beach. This was a house that we had rented through Avocet Properties (now its Wyndham) already years ago for a vacation. Unfortunately, now Avocet changed to Wyndham and we were not at all pleased with Wyndham. In September, the house had an ongoing water damage. Wyndham offered us another house, but not of equal quality (smaller, fewer bathrooms/bedrooms). So, this did not work. Because we had to live with the water damage for several days, we asked for a price reduction. No reduction was granted although Wyndham offered "September Specials" . They just said the issue were due to the hurrican. But that was not true: I had called, 2 days before we arrived to check if everything was ok with the house, and they said 'yes' the hurrican had nothing damaged. In addition, the handyman who came to repair the water damage mentioned that it was a maintenance issue.. So, in the future, we will not use Wyndham again. Sorry Avocet - you should have stayed just Avocet and not join Wyndham.

When my family and I arrived, a construction trailer was parked in the driveway leaving minimal parking for our family. On Saturday morning, security came by and threatened to have the vehicles towed they were parked in the cul-de-sac mind you they were parked there because we had the trailer taking up space and the driveway. Apparently this trailer was parked in the driveway because there is a construction crew working on one of the extra rooms downstairs that we are also not able to use because of the sheet rock that was torn from the wall as well as roaches and a rusted refrigerator. There is also blah blah from the vent and one of the bedrooms which caused most of the small children to have breathing problems. Not to mention the entire house was dirty when I arrived. Inches of dust on the ceiling fan fingerprints all over the doors and light switches. Not to mention the entire house was dirty when I arrived. A very unpleasant weekend as we were celebrating my wedding.

Doesnt even deserve a star. We Arrived at Rosemary beach around 5am after driving all night with a friend from overseas... Only to find that our vacation rental unit we booked with #wyndhamvacationrental was swapped from right under us to a much inferior quality unit. Upon rechecking my email, They sent us one email to inform us of the change (not even to ask us if we were ok with it) which i never received since it went to my junk mail. Did not receive any calls or voicemails to confirm we were ok with it. They were ok when they charged us the original same full price for a much inferior unit, but they are saying we have to pay twice as much for a different unit of same quality (as unit originally booked). They want me to stay in this studio unit (not even a kitchen or a bedroom) until when the next manager comes in for the day...i have never been treated this way before. I dont even know what to do. @wyndhamvacationrental, how is this even acceptable??!! We had to cancel our beach vacation currently set for May 29th. We decided to cancel do to the corona virus and it was a sixty day notice of cancelling! They refused to give any money we had already paid and charged a fee of 342.00! Unheard of and ridiculous to say the least! I go to Florida every year! We will not ever stay or book at Wyndham vacations rentals ever again! Save your money and find a property that is understanding and not trying to just take your money! If I could give them zero stars I would!

Well just to post that the description of being able to cancel with 4 days notice and lose 15% is totally false. I cancelled my trip due to emergency surgery. I received nothing back whatsoever. Then to add insult to injury I was completely insulted by their representative and basically called an imbecile. Please by all means use another company to book a vacation rental.

We just stayed at Gatlinburg Tennessee The dishes was still in the dishwasher and in the second bedroom there was stuff left in it
