The Good

  • Ticket Delivery
  • Customer Service
  • Refund Policy

Ticket Delivery

Once the ticket purchase has been made. Ticketmaster has several methods to delivering the tickets. They can be delivered by mail, email, or through the Ticketmaster mobile app. This allows each customer to receive their tickets in the form that is most comfortable for them.

Most customers appreciate the convenience of Mobile Entry option (available on both IOS and Android devices). Customers can use their phones as their ticket. Once the mobile app is downloaded, customers simply pull up their account with Ticketmaster in the app and the tickets are there ready to be scanned. Ticketmaster can also provides these services for your own events.

Customer Service

Ticketmaster has been in business for over 40 years. The company has the most experience in ticket sales across the United States and Canada. Its customer service is reportedly very friendly and helpful. Customer service options include email, telephone, and live chat. This includes a phone line for the Deaf.

Refund Policy

Everyone worries about the refund process when it comes to events. There is no telling what could happen AFTER the tickets have been purchased. Luckily, Ticketmaster takes this into account with fully refundable tickets or exchanges within three days after the purchase date with participating events.

The refund policy also provides a full refund if the event has been canceled. If the event was rescheduled the tickets are saved for the individual who purchased them. Depending on the event, refunds may be available for a rescheduled event.

The Bad

  • Fees

Fees

It is normal for most online ticket sales to have a convenience fee. Unfortunately, Ticketmaster has several fees on each ticket and/or the full transaction. These include service fees (or convenience charge) and a processing fee. They do not have a set fee schedule. The fees chosen for tickets are those that each individual client sets for their own venues or events. The fees can vary greatly from event to event. The other fees issued to ticket sales seem a bit excessive.

The Bottom Line

Ticketmaster knows the ticket business. Having a streamlined process online and on the app provides a user friendly experience. A wide range of event ticket sales are offered with clear purchasing policies listed on their website. While Ticketmaster has some of the lowest prices on event tickets remember to factor in the fees when comparing prices.

Ticketmaster has been in business the longest compared to other ticketing services we've researched. They provide excellent service, a generous return policy, and ticket insurance. We recommend Ticketmaster for future ticket purchases.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ticketmaster. My favorite convenience TM offers is pick your own seat functionality. However I dislike when specific shows don't allow me to pick my own seat and I have to rely on the "Best Available" function to give me seats I don't like. The pick you own seat functionality should always be available, but if you want to use best available give consumers that option. I strongly dislike the amount TM charges for additional fees. I'm doing all the work (selecting tickets, supplying billing information) and their already paid for software executes the transaction. I wished they'd lower their fees. The didn't get the nickname Ticketschister for no reason. I have used there ticket exchange feature to upgrade my tickets for better tickets with their customer service reps. Unfortunately they're the primary ticketing agency for all major shows so I'm stuck having to use them and paying their fees.

I have purchased concert tickets a few different times through Ticketmaster, and I've never been disappointed. There are fees, but they didn't seem any steeper than what you would pay through any other event ticketing platform. I like that Ticketmaster keeps me in the loop by sending me emails about upcoming shows that I might like based on my past purchases.

I wish I had more good things to say about Ticketmaster than bad. But nearly everytime I GO there, something happens. Whether the website doesn't want to load, or the tickets that were supposedly reserved for me randomly disappear... It's frustrating. I also desperately wish instead of giving me random tickets every time in random seats for major events (shows, concerts, etc) - they let me pick my seating section.

I go to many, many concerts so I buy from Ticketmaster all the time. It's always a super quick and easy process getting tickets and I like that you can zoom in to actually pick specific seats. The only reason I'm giving them 3 out of 5 starts is because of their ridiculous fees. Buying four $25.00 tickets should not end up coming to over $200.00. However, they are pretty much the only place to buy major concert tickets at so I bite the bullet and pay.

I buy most of my concert tickets from Ticketmaster. My only complaint is that if I go to buy a ticket when many others are, the website crashes or fails and I loose opportunities for better tickets.

Ticketmaster is nice because it allows you to see who's playing and how many tickets are available, but they always mark up the price for a "service fee" even though you did all the work yourself. By being independent and purchasing your own ticket, you get charged for doing so.

Ticketmaster has a great array of artists and events to choose from, however their site tends to crash very frequently with large scale events. Everytime I try to purchase a ticket on Ticketmaster I seem to run into this issue.

Wish some places wouldn't force you to use ticket master. The customer service is not helpful. They give you the runaround and in the end don't resolve your issue. You have to checkout precisely no mistakes or trying to get to them to fix anything is a long shot.

Ticketmaster makes it easy to search for tickets from a lot of different entertainment options. The fees can be a bit high, so you may be surprised at the actual cost of tickets vs. the advertised cost of tickets when purchasing from their site.

Bought some tickets on a presale and even had a super fan privilege. This was suppose to be where all the great tickets were available. However, it was not they had all of them locked out. And then on top of it all the fees they charge are a rip off. Contacted customer service and they were no help at all.

I am fine with Ticketmaster but my biggest complaint is that when you get tickets to certain sports events, you have to download the app of the team in order to access your tickets. Why not just have them on my ticketmaster app? I have to download another app just for one game? Seems backwards and is redundant.

This site could use a lot of fixing when it comes to sales of highly anticipated concerts and better customer service to direct customers through an easier transaction. Otherwise, it is good website to purchase your tickets from if there is not much site traffic.

Ticketmaster has always been easy to find events on then buy tickets for that event. The customer service people have been helpful to me if I had questions. The fees they Include makes the tickets a lot more expensive.

I hate the demand price tickets. It seems Ticketmaster has started operating like this. Also, many times it feels just like a resell platform. I hate using Ticketmaster.

I go to a lot of concerts and I think that I almost always end up buying from ticketmaster, I don't think they are always the cheapest but they have always come through.

I normally always buy concert tickers from Ticketmaster but sometimes their website is laggy when a concert is released and their fees are terrible.

Ticketmaster has good prices but sells out so quickly for the largest shows, I wish they would have a better way to avoid scalpers.
