The Good

  • PC and Mac devices covered
  • Multiple services offered
  • Wide variety of service options
  • Money-back guarantee

PC and Mac Devices Covered

My Phone Support has the expertise for just about any device you need tech support for: PCs, Macs, mobile devices, and the company doesn't a limit on the number of devices it can support on a single subscription.

Multiple Services Offered

My Phone Support provides the benefit of multiple service options: diagnostics, virus and malware removal, software installation, and data security services-regardless of whether you are an individual or a business owner. The company also provides third-party services for software, phones, printers, gaming consoles, scanner, digital cameras, and more.

Wide Variety of Service Options

My Phone Support offers three service options: by phone, remotely by using a secure internet connection, and they also offer an on-site option as well. The company claims to be able to resolve 99% of all tech issues remotely. And services are available 24/7 worldwide, so no matter when you call, someone can assist you.

Money-Back Guarantee

Fortunately, My Phone Support does offer a money back guarantee; however, specific details regarding this policy-exclusions, etc.-are nowhere to be found on the company website. Having a money-back guarantee is important, especially for companies like My Phone Support that don't offer a free trial of any kind, or charge expensive yearly rates ($249.95). You wouldn't want to have paid that kind of money for a service you weren't happy with.

The Bad

  • No customization options
  • No data recovery option
  • Limited service plans

No Customization Options

Unlike many of its competitors, My Phone Support doesn't offer any type of customization services; however, they have two payment options that pretty much cover anything. If you only need a one-time fix, this company offers that. The company also caters to customer who have an ongoing services for issues that could arise throughout the year.

No Data Recovery Option

Unfortunately, My Phone Support doesn't offer a data recovery option. This is something we would like to see added to the company's existing suite of services. Data recovery services are becoming increasingly important in the industry, both for individual customers who just want to preserve their family photos, as well as for businesses whose success depends on having their data securely in place.

Limited Service Plans

Most tech support companies offer either customized plans or at least a variety of plans from which their customers can choose; however, My Phone Support does not. With this company, you are limited to two options. A one-time fix or a yearly option. The yearly option requires you to pay the full $249.95 upfront, then after that first year you have the option of being billed $18.95 per month until you decide to cancel.

The Bottom Line

My Phone Support has quite a few certifications and offers a wide variety of services. The money-back guarantee adds definite value, but customers will need to do some independent investigation to determine what exclusions (if any) apply. We would like to see My Phone Support add a data recovery option to its line of available services, as this is becoming a must-have service for top tech support companies. Additionally, we'd like to see more flexible service options from My Phone Support. That being said, we can recommend My Phone Support to anyone with basic tech support needs.

SCAM. Used them for a repair for almost $200.00 in January 2017 and then they started billing me monthly starting in January 2018 for 3 and 1/2 years. If you do not open their spam email that says they intend to bill you one year after the service then they consider that acceptance on your part and they start billing you monthly. After one year I had forgotten about them and their name. Who would start billing 12 months a past customer after a one time fix? I had no idea that part of their service is that you must open all their SPAM email and say NO or they bill you. What a SCAM! I did not notice the monthly charge on my bank statement was from them until now. They changed their name also from myphonesupport to safecart.

So basically, my computer was randomly crashing and blue screen-ing and sometimes wouldn't start up, so I called them because I wanted to review their company. They asked for remote PC access. So I did that. They claimed my computer has viruses (which my computer was all clean). They showed a list of errors (which if you search it online, it is perfectly normal and they occur occasionally). They charged $200 for "security" and $99 for a one-time fix with 7-day warranty. I didn't pay for it because this sounds like a total ripoff. I (obviously) declined the offer. This is definitely the stupidest ripoff I have ever heard of. I'm actually good with computers and technology and later fixed it myself. The actual problem was that my hard drive was dying and had completely nothing to do with viruses or malware.

This is a tech support scam. They lead you into buying services you don't need. This is a basic tech support scam but found in ads and web results and not pop-ups. Bitdefender detects this as Phishing before you enter the site. (If you have it) The site is also Not Secure as found in the left side of your screen near the url bar. This site requires you to manually type https:// to get to the "secure site" but I still wouldn't trust that as most sites auto redirect to the secure site. This is a utmost scam and is untrustworthy. Please do not fall for the fake reviews as they are boted or paid reviews.

This was loooong process for computer work. IT took most of the morning!! Foreign accent very difficult to understand. Still not sure everything is OK. There were many long gaps in communication...perhaps while working on other client's projects? Surrendered control of my computer is unnerving. Wondered if MyPhoneSupport Company caused the initial "glitch" to attract business. Didn't raise my confidence level. Time will tell how much good or evil they caused to my computer. And what are they doing with the confidential information I gave for them to have access to my computer?? By the way....I'm not going to spend even more time reading your multi-thousand word "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" or "Review Guidelines." Not after this exhausting experience.

MyPhoneSupport, owned by Consumersoft (makers of My Faster PC), owned by Quattro, are tech support scammers. I know this as I have baited them several times. MyFasterPC is blocked by Norton, Bitdefender, Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. I recently did a bait with them where they claimed that stopped services were the cause of my computer's problems. The computer had no problems as it is a VM that is only a few hours old. They also defamed Malwarebytes and Bitdefender and had to uninstall Malwarebytes in order to get their webpage to load. Make no mistake, MyPhoneSupport are tech support scammers. Do not do business with them. If you have, you may want to consider reporting them. Evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3HtnDvNzAA

The gentlemen I spoke to were friendly and helpful. I was misled in terms of the best route I should take to ensure my laptop was working correctly. For the most part, my laptop works but I was told getting support will fix ALL my issues except the physical damage that occurred (cracked screen). Essentially, I paid to just have my mouse working again but my touch screen had to be disabled because it was interfering with my mouse clicks. If I would have just had my screen replaced I would not have had to use your support. I feel the support was too easy on your side to charge me $150. It truly didn't seem fair because if I would have known to just disable my touch screen, then everything would have been fine. Instead I spent 3 hours on the phone running tests to check software issues but it was all hardware which I told them its a cracked screen. It seemed this was misleading and I would not recommend your services to anyone because it was very misleading and I still have a cracked screen so if I ever want to use my touch screen I will have to replace the screen and pay even more. I basically paid to have a temporary fix and in the long run I will need to still replace my screen. Overall, really not happy.

We were on the phone for four hours. During the later stages of our conversation, we had to connect with Spectrum support services and they sent an email with instructions. Only after that was the problem solved. I wonder why your tech support person did not do that in the first place?

I was informed that they would clean up my computer and fix the pop-up issue for free; however, after an hour on the phone, I was told that I had to pay $360 for a subscription before they do anything and resolve the problem.
