I have used TurboTax for many years to prepare my taxes. I have never had issues with audits or tax problems. Some screens can be a little confusing if you’re not 100% sure.

TurboTax has a great user experience but makes it a little too difficult to avoid paying for what is advertised as a free service. The results are good, but more clarity around the paid vs free features would go a long way.

TurboTax is expensive, which is the only reason I have to give it 3 stars instead of 5. Other than that, the high quality access to experts in the field for filing taxes online makes it an extremely useful resource, especially for people unfamiliar with taxes.

As an 18 year old who filled her tax for the first time this year, I believe TurboTax was pretty simple to use. I only have source of income so inevitably it was pretty easy for me to fill out my taxes for free!

I am able to do my taxes when I want at my own convenience. I don’t have to finish it all at once and I don’t have to wait for anyone to do it for me.

I used TurboTax for many years and always had very frustrating experiences with their software. They advertised a free service but time after time after hours of filling out information and dealing with login issues I would be faced with paying a lot of money to submit my taxes or start all over again with another tax service... I no longer use TurboTax.

In general I am happy with TurboTax. Its intuitive and allows me to control the schedule of my taxes. I fear that as my portfolio expands however, that it won’t handle the nuance and maximize my return compared to a CPA.

I used TurboTax for years. I have done my own taxes when possible and TurboTax was a convenient way to do that. I found that it was accurate and would warn of items that could trigger an audit. I stopped using TurboTax because I found other equally accurate and charge less. You can pay for audit defense but never found a need for it.

Started out filing my own taxes with turbo tax and loved it. Then found taxact and I don't know what it is but they always find us a bit more money back too. Turbo tax wording can sometimes be hard to understand and apply to the forms and docs I need. It's also been more expensive for the software too.

I was happy with the ease at which turbo tax helped me with my taxes. I do hope that I was able to get most exemptions that I could but I honestly don’t know if I did. If you know that you are not looking for any extra exemptions then I would definitely recommend.

I've used Turbotax and the Turbotax app to submit my taxes for the past 3 years - I switched from FreeTaxUSA.com. The app used to be a great experience but last year they tricked a lot of users (including myself) into having to pay for an upgraded plan to submit your taxes, I believe I saw a lawsuit about it on Facebook.

I have used Turbo tax for two years. I know they have a good reputation and have a good product, but I am not happy with the constant requests to upgrade to the premium product. Offer once and be done. I honestly am not sure If there will be a third year for me.

TurboTax makes it really easy to do taxes. The instructions are very easy to follow; however, they always say that you can file for free, then they tack on a huge fee at the end. If you don't pay, they delete all of your information.

While TurboTax is super easy to use as far as inputting and uploading all your tax information, I always feel like I didn't get the biggest possible return I could have gotten. They also cost quite a bit to use. I'm going to go through a different company next time around and see if it makes any difference.

I've used Turbo Tax to do my taxes for the past few years. It has made the process of doing my taxes easier. But at the end of filing my taxes, I always end up paying more than expected. I'm happy to pay for the service, but I don't like it when I feel like random fees and expenses are tacked on at the last minute.

This is a very easy way to do your taxes but it is the most conservative possible approach. They basically give on any questionalbe call with the IRS so as not to have any possibility of disagreement. If you have simple taxes--great. But if you have a more complicated situation, figure it out yourself or with an accountant.
