Founded in 1982 under a different name, this company changed its DBA to Sun-Tec in 2009 and now primarily works in the solar-oriented space, including solar photovoltaics, solar thermal, and solar attic fans. The company has installed over 5 megawatts of residential PV and is continuing to grow year over year.
Sun-Tec offers two brands of solar panels: Hanwha 290W Black monocrystalline and Hyundai monocrystalline. The company also offers both SMA and Enphase inverters.
Sun-Tec supports a number of financing options, including outright purchase, loan, and PACE financing. On the loan front, the company offers no money down options with terms ranging from 7 to 20 years. Sun-Tec maintains at least three financiers for its loan products and two for its PACE products.
Sun-Tec offers some fantastic warranties. The first is a double lifetime workmanship warranty that covers both the original homeowner and the next homeowner for as long as they remain in the home. The company also offers a pass-through equipment warranty and a double lifetime warranty on manufacturer defects.
Sun-Tec does not outsource any of its installations. Instead, the company performs all installations using in-house employees, which keeps the level of quality high and leaves less room for miscommunication or error.
Currently, Sun-Tec only offers its services in Florida. Although the company has multiple offices throughout the state, the number of consumers who have the ability to work with Sun-Tec is limited.
Consumers looking to save money on their utilities and have solar installed may benefit from the services available from Sun-Tec. The company provides high quality equipment and fantastic warranties, but only offers its services in Florida.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
