ION Solar Reviews

I liked that they paid for the panels up grade we didn't have to pay out of pocket for anything. They tried to explain everything if they didn't know they asked some one else to answer our questions.

Loving MY new Ion Solar Panels. Everything ran smoothly with Ion solar and I am pleased with my experience and customer service. Cole T did a great job keeping me informed through the process.

Ion Solar kept us in the loop and notified us of every move. From the beginning to ending. Very nice people. Clean reputable work. Absolutely no complaints. Highly recommended.

The communication from the company about the whole solar process was great. The Ion Solar team was incredibly professional from the first visit through the installation process. This is a great company.

They helped me get financed to help me do everything they walk me through every step and made me feel real comfortable doing it I am pleased on everything that they have done from insulation to all the help they gave me

Technicians showed up on time and quickly got to work. They were focused and worked efficiently. They finished in less time than they estimated. Very happy with the quality of work.

They were extremely easy to work with and gave amazing customer service! They kept us up to date and were actively communicating with us through the entire process. We couldn't be happier!

From beginning to end the process was easy and very professional. Installers did a great job and answered all my tech questions. I cant wait to see how much money we will save in electric.

My installation was completed yesterday, and I am pleased with the communication that was provided throughout the installation process. I am happy to now own an energy-producing home instead of an energy-consuming home.

Eric from sales was informative, and not pushy at all. He has been available and has answered my many questions promptly. Installation was fast and professional. Couldn’t be happier thus far.

Ion is great! The only thing I would suggest to be adjusted is the project manager. After the panels were put on I seem to have come to a stand still due absence of project manager. Thanks to Dax, energy advisor, who was a big help with various issues.

They kept us well informed. Did all work in a timely manner and the work was of high quality. If I has a question I could always get ahold of someone or get an immediate response.

Very disappointed in their service. Communication is great until after finial sales which seems to be both within company and with me a customer. At first and second scheduled installs which were postponed due to snow levels on roof the pre-install person showed up not knowing the install was rescheduled. Then after the install took place while I was waiting to be notified install was complete they just disappeared. The finial inspection had to be postponed again because of snow and at rescheduled time of between 10 am and 4:30 pm, I called in that morning to see if an approximate time of arrival was known and was informed they would check and call me back. That did not happen and NO ONE showed up. I called in again same day about 15 to 20 min. before 4:30 and asked why no one had shown up and the answering party was to follow up an be sure I got an answer. Did not happen. I called my Ion Solar rep. the following day and got I am sorry lip service and was to call me back by 8 pm. Again DID NOT happen so now I am perusing my possibilities of forcing a removal of this stuff of my roof and restoring the roof to original condition.. I just do not trust this company. How can I now not suspect that this represents their service for the future.

Cole as project manager kept his team on track all the time, as well as keeping us as clients informed of next steps. The whole company was fast and efficient. The whole project took about 2 months. My husband and I were verbally told there would be 19 panels. Only 18 were installed and documented. I was also told I would receive a gift card for Amazon for $105.00 that I never received. I don't. Like dishonesty.

Great communication early on in the process. Installation was when problems began to occur. Ion subcontracted the installation. The subcontractors broke several tiles and installed too many panels. Ion was more than slow to communicate and implement a plan to remedy the problems. In fact, I was the one making most of the texts to finish the job. Love the product so far.

This was the most informed service I've experienced in a long time. No pressure or no commitment whatsoever. But my savings was clear. The whole experience was the best ever. Thank you Ion solar for the best deal ever.

From the beginning to the end, the process was very easy and transparent. I was constantly provided updates by everyone involved in my homes solar project. I have nothing to complain about, it was a great experience!

ION Solar has been easy to work with. They communicate well with their customers. I love their app for checking progress during installation and then energy use going forward. We've had a great experience.

Great experience. Was well informed about how the system would work and benefit me and my property, explained the tax credit, and answered any questions during the installation process in a professional friendly manner.

My experience with this company was very satisfying, the persons that was assigned to me was very polite, courteous and professional. They answered my questions in a timely manner, would certainly recommend them

Salesman, Project Manager, and Installation team were all professional and helpful. The team that assigns where installation teams go each day kept trying to pull the installation team off of my project, which caused almost a week delay. Having said that, I am pleased with the end results.

Great experience all the way through. Everything was on time with the installation with no problems along the way. I cant wait to see my electric bill lower! Great company to deal with.

Adam S was our Project Manager. He and the team from the technicians, electricians, to sales associates have been great! Everyone was courteous and patient with working around our busy schedules.

Sales Staff was honest direct answered all our questions And Install team took only 1 day for a very large system, they answered my questions in a precise manner and they were all friendly

Ion Solar was very friendly and helpful from start to finish. They are great at communicating everything that is happening step by step, easy to contact and great customer service

Everyone is great to work with - very professional, organized and knowledgeable. Installation was done with care - can't even tell we have a system from the street. Highly recommend ION.

ION Solar performed professionally, efficiently, and coutreously in all aspects of the installation and maintained aproper level of communication in all phases of the installation.

Ion Solar was understanding with the delays that were incurred because of a resent hail storm. The installation team was fast and knowledgeable able to answer all of our questions. I would highly recommend this company.

All I can say is Excellent Service in all phases from start to finish. Ion's Professional Team worked with us, answer all of our questions and show up 15 minutes before all our meetings with them.

I am in Albuquerque. The cost wasn't the cheapest but the Company was willing to work with me to run the conduit in the wall for a seamless look. Their electrician did a really awesome job. However, while the installation was great, the sales was terrible. My recommendation is not to use this company unless you've become an expert in what a kwh is and exactly how many you need. I was naive and thought I could rely on "professionals" to correctly calculate what I needed. Well a year later I am at 70% coverage when I was told I'd be at 120%. Going through my paper work, they didn't estimate how we discussed and left the vital summer months out of the calculation. When I called to inquire, I just received people willing to sell me more rather than tell me what happened. I had to figure it out on my own and have never heard back from them regarding a solution. Every time I get a bill where I have to pay, I just think how horrible this experience has been and how I wished I did my due diligence upfront rather than relying on someone else to do the right thing. Don't make my mistake!

We have been very happy with the overall quality of the work as well the service and support. They stayed in constant contact with us and always kept us informed about the process. Awesome job

Excellent experience. My options were well presented and explained by the salesperson. There was a sprinkler line broken during the panel upgrade, they were immediately responsive and had it repaired within 24 hours of being notified, at no charge, no questions asked. Installation was completed as promised on schedule.

Excellent communication between the customer (me) and the company. Ion Solar took care of arranging all the inspections. The installers were excellent and knew what they were doing. All the equipment is top quality.

No complaints, installation all went well. Had slow upstart tho. Was due to power company on their part after all was installed. Vision was very helpful with any questions. Well pleased.

Vision Solar is an amazing, very professional company. They have the best sales people and installers. Their customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking about going solar.

What can I say? Extremely pleased with my solar and Vision Solar specifically. Great service, communication, and installation. Satisfied customer, highly recommend Vision Solar!

We have had nothing but positive interactions with vision solar. The sales person explained everything in clear detail and every service technician has been thorough and easy to work with.

Great Company! although their website is a little obscure, their salesman are the absolute most professional, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable people there are in this industry.

We had ion solar installed around 2 years ago and our panels have worked great. Their customer service is great and have always been able to help us out when we had issues.

No organization. We had final inspectors showing up right after the install. We still had to get the panel done and Xcel out. We had numerous ION installers in our house that had no clue what they were there for. Also had repeat installers come by cause notes were not put in system properly. The kicker was they wanted to move panel to another wall. Which ended up being the bathroom shower. We had to tell at least three different people they can not move it to that wall cause our shower is there. You think they would have put that in thier notes. At the end they grounded the panel wrong and tried to blow up my house. That was excitement, and took about 9 hours to fix. So stay away. Tell everyone you know to just stay away.

I highly recommend finding a different company. Its like working with a car dealership, once they have your signature you don't mean a thing to them, and they don't stand by anything they said. I was told that my system would produce approximately 118% of my previous years energy consumption, just under the max of the 120% maximum allowed. My system is 8.5kw and has never produced more than 6.4kw, Less than 75% of what I was told, meaning the system will not be able to cover my yearly energy consumption at this rate. Their workers are unprofessional just like every other aspect of their service short of the sales person getting you into the contract. The works were unprofessional, cursing and leaving scraps in my yard. Customer service, well good luck getting in touch with them. My solar wasn't turned on for weeks after the installation. I was eventually able to contact them and asked what was going on. "Well we changed the design when we installed so it pushed back the dates, it should be approved next week" it wasn't it took 3 more weeks. When I asked why they didn't inform me they were running weeks behind schedule on my project they didn't have a response other than sorry. The app is a joke, it didn't keep up to date with the progress of the installation. Then once the installation was completed it took more than a week to identify that the system was on, and wasn't able to give valid data on the system. There are options to contact customer service, and leave a review in the app. Contacting customer service asks you to fill out the form when trying to submit (the form was filled out). The leave a review functionality doesn't do anything, you click the button and nothing happens. The part that I really hate about ION is I was originally looking at Tesla, and they told me how bad they were with customer service, that you can't get in touch with customer service, and they usually run behind schedule in installations, all things that I experienced with ION. I highly recommend not going with ION!

I would absolutely not recommend ION to a family member or friend. The sales rep, Nat, was excellent and knowledgeable and got us excited about solar. From there, it was a complete mess. ION installed the incorrect plan on my house, with no explanation on how that happened and we were the ones to catch it, after it had been fully installed. After this, we were put in a very awkward position. Our original agreed upon plan was 16 panels. That was more than enough for my family and I have written proof we never agreed to additional panels. When the installers came, they never reviewed anything with my wife and started working. This is where the issue was made in which 9 panels were added to my north roof. Completely installed and damaging my brand new home. With this issue, I immediately made the rest of the process pause in order to work through this. This is where I am extremely disappointed with ION and why I would never recommend them to my friends or family. Instead of taking full blame for this problem; they made it mine. They basically made me choose between paying for panels I did not budget (with cash - ION would not let me finance these panels) or be left with a roof that was three months old that had been damaged and penetrated, after they took the panels off. This penetrated roof would have voided all warranty with our builder, should something have gone wrong. Additionally, even if I have them "fix" my roof, I have a separate warranty and all the associated issues of who takes blame when things go wrong. This was an unacceptable solution to me so I requested ION keep the panels on. I then worked tirelessly with customer representatives to make things work. In my opinion, ION should have taken a complete loss on these panels but senior directors refused this and continued to drag out the process in which I had to scrape together as much money as possible, after buying a house just months before mind you, for ION to finally agree. I worked with Erick Martinez and to be completely honest, didn't think he really cared that ION was completely at fault. His words to be were, we have a legal team here at ION for situations like this. He mentioned that if I wanted to contact a lawyer I could, but I would have to pay all those legal costs. We did come to an agreement, but I truly feel ION frauded me into these panels and locked me into a place where I had to come up with $6,500 dollars to pay for their mistake. If these guys had to pay this money out of their pockets, I’m sure they would have taken it more seriously. Also, the issues did not stop there. When the inspectors finally came out from the city, it was realized that the plan ION submitted to them was the original 16 panel design (or some other incorrect electrical layout) and led to more delay. We were not approved by the city, dragging out the process over a month longer and inconveniencing us more than ION probably realizes. We were never actually contacted by anyone telling us that this happened, we found out through the installers. It’s just another big mistake that ION made in which they didn’t even own up to or talk to their customer about professionally. Our panels were finally turned on in May, meaning we missed all of the solar generation that we could have had in March and April if ION did everything correct in the first place. Additionally, the ION installers took no care when working at my house. They damaged my brand new, several thousand dollar gutters that I had installed on the house. The issue could have been avoided if they properly wrapped their ladders or placed the ladders on a different side of the house. We decided to fix them ourselves, because we do not trust a roof installer to fix our gutters (what they recommended). When my wife asked how they would match the paint color of the gutters, they said actually told her, almost word for word, we looked at some pictures and guessed what it should be, and if we need to we would scrape off some of the paint and take it to a store to try to match it. That level of carelessness is shocking. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with ION and would not recommend the company to anyone I care for. As paying customers, we expected to be treated as such, and not treated as an inconvenience for HUGE mistakes made by their employees, multiple times.

I regret the day I ever invited a representative of this company into my house. In Short here is why: 1.False claims of timeline for Install 2.Signed up in January and they weren't done until May. 2.5 months past schedule 3. Their installers messed up my gutters and they have yet to fix them. THey've already rescheduled once 4. The salesman that signed me up was fired during the install. No one bothered to tell me. 5. Installers left debris and tools all over my backyard 6. They said they would take care of notifying the HOA and they had pre-approval to work in the neighborhood. That was a lie. I spent 2 months getting retroactive approval 7. They screwed up the city inspection. 8. They had to come back and put additional protection on the wiring under the panels.(Requiring removal and re-installation of the panel. 9. Showed up late for install. Had to cancel all my plans for the day 10. Install ran longer than planned and they said they would be back the next day; that was a lie. I had to track down the installers after they were 4 hours late again!!! 11. They failed to compensate for lost time. 12. When I asked to speak to higher ups, they put as many obstacles in my path as possible and/or simply did not answer my repeated requests to talk to somebody. 13. This is a company masquerading as a bigger company than they really are. 14. They. botched the paperwork for the Utility company inspector and it caused additional delay of over a month and a half. They lied about having submitted the paperwork on time. I found that out when I called the inspector's office myself. Even if they rebutt this statement, please know that I have proof of all emails and text correspondence. Any person requiring further clarification before you buy, I will gladly help you steer you away from this money-grabbing company.
