I love the affordable prices Petco has for all of their feline toys, food, and more. If you have a pet Petco has it. I also loved as a kid coming in to look at all of the animals that you could get as a kid, it was my favorite part. I love how easy Petco makes it to purchase online and make orders where all I have to do is pick it up from the local store. I don't even have to walk into the store anymore.

Ordered dog food waited 4 days unable to track package called customer service was told package at Warehouse told them keep and give me refund would not do anything for me can't understand person I talked to terrible company to deal with go with CHEWY they are the BEST!! Prices good and order arrives 1-2 days any problems solved while on phone with them go out of their way to help you STAY AWAY FROM PETCO I know I'll never buy anything from them again lie and tell you order shipped still at Warehouse checked right after getting off phone with them BEWARE

I'm the proud owner of 2 dogs. One weighs 115lbs, and the oldest dog weighs 12lbs. It's not always convenient for me to shop for food, snacks and treats. PetSmart online shopping offers me the convenience of shopping for all my pet needs at my own time. PetSmart also offers great specials, and discounts on pet food, snacks, medication and other convenient pet services all conveniently online.

I just went to a Pet Smart for the first time today. I went to a store in Bellevue, WA because it is closer to where I am staying. Workers in there were not friendly. the cashier was attentive though. I didn't find what I was looking for, so I asked for help, and this person just said "I don't know. You can just go to <where the place was> and see." Later, I learned that this person was the manager!! I honestly don't intend to go there again. The prices are similar to Amazon, and I don't need to deal with grumpiness.
The Final Word
When comparing the prices of 50 products from PetSmart and Petco, the difference was nominal. Both companies were always within a similar range and nothing seemed outrageously priced. That being said, the winner was PetSmart.
It’s also important for pet owners to take into consideration the companies' shipping costs. Petco offers free shipping on any order over $49 (be careful about ordering larger items from Petco, you might get charged extra). To get free shipping with PetSmart you’ll need to spend at least $49 and be a member of its Treats program. However, the Treats program is free and extremely easy to sign up for.
While PetSmart might have lower prices, there is a much bigger selection of pet products on Petco’s website, especially when it comes to pet toys. If you’re looking for a specific toy, brand, color, etc. you’ll probably have more luck finding it at Petco.
Both stores offer a number of pet services (grooming, training classes, veterinary care) and are reasonably priced. Overall, both stores are great for busy pet parents who want a one-stop-shop for all their pets' needs.
