Trend Micro has issues with customer complaints. Most issues have been problems with the product or service, and issues with billing or collection. Also the app that is available in the iTunes store hasn't been update for almost a month. Typically new threats can arise anytime and there have been many new attacks announced over the web every day it seems. Use caution if you choose to download an app with an older update than the most current viral threats. The Mobile Security software offered by Trend Micro will cost $23.99 per year for iOS, and $29.99 per year for Android after the free trial offer ends.*

The Bottom Line

When compared to other mobile antivirus companies it seems clear that Trend Micro may be offering a service that doesn't quite meet the expectation. With so many complaints and issues with their service, I'd be hesitant to choose this company over the others. I advise you to look into this option deeper to see if Trend Micro offers the right security you need for you phone or device. Their customer support is available by phone or chat during business hours from 11:00pm-9:00pm Monday-Friday, and 8:00am-5:00pm Saturday-Sunday.
