The Good

• Free version
• Affordable price
• 70 day money-back guarantee

Founded in 1997, Webroot Mobile Secure is available from the company website, on Amazon, the GooglePlay Store, and in the iTunes store. There's a free version available as well as a paid premier version. The paid or premier version of the app is $4.99 in the app store. This app is easy-to-use, and very user-friendly. If you need help with your service, you can reach customer support during business hours. If you aren't satisfied with you service, Webroot gives you a 70-day money back guarantee no hassle.

The Bad

• Complaints of malicious threats
• Lack of updates
• Limited customer service hours

Even though Webroot is AV Test Certified, there have been complaints about malicious threats being found even within the Webroot application itself. The iOS version of the application has not been update since October of 2013. There have been many new threats since then, so I wouldn't advise downloading that available version. Recently users have found an increase in risks slipping through the Webroot security. Though customer service is available, they're only available during business hours. Most other companies are always available 24/7 at least by chat or email.

The Bottom Line

Though the price of Webroot may be enticing, recent stories and updates share harmful insights linking to this Mobile Antivirus application. Use caution if you decide to download Webroot, and check that your device meets the current update/compatibility requirements. Many issues around Webroot have just starting coming up within the last year or so. Before moving on, consider that this service comes backed by a 70-Day guarantee, ensuring that any problems you face are resolved effectively.
