We got Choice Warranty when we purchased our home. Our AC went out, so we called them to send out someone to check it out. The gentleman who came was awesome- very helpful. But when we called Choice back, they said we would have to pay $200 for a leak test when we already knew there was a leak. Then after the leak test, Choice would not cover the leak any time there is rust. How would there not be any rust when it's an outside unit? So we decided not to do that. But then we noticed our fan was not running (it had been working while fixing the leak). When we called Choice back, they said they would not cover it because we did not fix the leak. They said if we would have called about the fan first, they would have fixed it. All customer service we talked to were no help. We would NEVER use Choice again- it's not worth it at all. And even the $60 service call fee we had to pay, the guy who came said that is generally what you pay any company to come out. Don't use Choice! Not worth the headache.

This company should not be in business. It is a scam. They do not pay claims and in fact, deny without any physical evidence (pictures or reported evidence from service technicians, etc.). We purchased this policy when we recently purchased a home that had systems & appliances that were 20 years old. The sales rep stated that would not make any difference and our systems & appliances would be covered. We filed a claim 5-17 for a leaking furnace and after no calls all day, I called a reputable heating & air person myself. They refused to work with CHW as was not paid on prior claims that CHW had contracted with them to do. With water leaking, I had no choice but to pay myself. Our Furnace & A/C was just worn out. Old. Non-repairable as it is an R22 and parts are no longer obtainable (Government banned due to environmental issues). Even with the report from the professional company as well as pictures supporting NO RUST, CORROSION or MISUSE, they denied for just that reason. What a joke. Ever heard of Great Benefit Life Insurance Company from the movie "The Rainmaker"? CHW is them. Do not waste your time or money.

Not enough phone coverage to reach anyone by phone since the pandemic started in 2020. Everything is website driven. Each order I put in was confirmed for a different day and time with the contractor than what Choice Home Warranty told me. This happened each time I filed a claim. Also, all contractors had a long waiting period before they could come out. I had no choice but to cancel. I wonder if George F is really a customer at all or is he on the commercials just for sales purposes.

I contacted Choice Home Warranty because of a leak in my ceiling. The service representative was very helpful in scheduling an air conditioning company to come out. The appointment was scheduled for the upcoming Saturday, but they did not show up, nor did they answer the phone, or call me. Choice was unable to contact them as well. We had to wait until Monday to make contact with the air conditioning company who stated that they were never scheduled to service me the previous Saturday. They were finally scheduled and came out and repaired the problem.

I have had Choice Home Warranty for years now. Every time I've contacted them, they have had someone to my house within a week. They replaced my dryer when it went out and when I called about what a new dryer would cost, they increased the money to the $400.00 I needed to replace the dryer. I recommend them as they live up to their ads.

I obtained a quote from Choice Home Warranty when my previous plan was set to expire but it was more expensive than renewing my existing coverage. The basic plan didn’t include the washer/dryer and that was important to me so I decided to stick with my original company.

This is an inexpensive and very affordable warranty plan especially if you are paying in advance for 2-3 years, with some caveats. In my experience, I once got the HVAC outdoor unit's capacitor replaced, got charged 300, and a home warranty made a check for about half of it. At that time, I choose my AC company and he came and fixed it. The next time when it got broken again, the warranty company sent me a very sketchy AC person, came late, unprofessional attire, he came and even smoked in my garage, I was desperate enough to have at least someone to fix the AC. The inside unit was in the attic, and he damaged the attic entry with his tools while climbing up, he poured bleach through the drainpipe, threw the bucketful of drained bleach on my yard, damaging my lawn. He end up saying my compressor was to be replaced, Choice said they are not paying for it (because it is expensive). I found a local AC company (I also subscribed to their AC maintenance plan), they came and found out it was the capacitor again, they installed two of them, and ensured me that it was a permanent fix. Before cancellation I asked at least a portion of the latter repair from Choice, they said they have changed their terms and conditions (with no notification), and not covering it. I made my best choice: Getting rid of the Choice warranty. What Choice does is: work with the cheapest small businesses to reduce their cost and you end up opening your doors to very unreliable and unprofessional repairmen (forget about the trustworthiness). My best advice, stay away from Choice. If you can, invest your money somewhere (stocks, etc), or a better warranty company.

I bought twice from CHW. Both times they were able to customize the quote for my needs and are very competitive. I have filed claims on both policies and received great service from CHW. Only dislike being that they were not vetting their partners initially and one of them was not skilled at his job. But, CHW made it right by sending another one.

So far my experience has been mostly negative. We have submitted 3 claims so far, 2 of which were simple leaks, one a shower and the other a toilet. The shower repair too two weeks from date of initial claim to completion. The toilet repair is now in the third week and still has not been completed, not because of difficulty but due to Choice Home Warranty dragging their feet about needing more information from the technician. Diagnosis with pictures were submitted by technician within 2 days of of technician's visit. The toilet problem is not rocket science. The third claim was a refrigerator problem. CHW was not able to get a technician to respond so authorization was given us to find our own, which we did. Job was completed in ten days due to having to order the needed part. However, we have not been provided the procedure to send in the repair invoice so we can be reimbursed. I will reserved final judgement on this process. So far I rate CHW fair to poor.
