The Bad

Seasonal Products Availability

Some baskets and fruits are not available during certain seasons. However, the company does its best to provide its customers with products of equal or greater value.

We ordered 4 baskets for an event my dental office was having, these were to be gifts for random raffle winners. 2 of the baskets were delivered to the incorrect address a week early. The 3rd ever made it and the 4th arrived after the due date completely moldy/ fermented n rotten. Trying to get a refund was an absolute joke! They were rude, condescending n denied fault. They blamed us for everything you can imagine. Did not accept any fault or even try to problem solve. Which means they must get a lot of complaints. When I was on hold for 32 minutes the recording states 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. HA! What a joke: I even pointed this out to the rep who was extremely rude. Don’t waste your time, money or energy on this boot leg scammer company. I also want to try to upload the photos I have of the one basket we received! This will speak for itself!

BUYER BEWARE!!!! We have received this gift every year and each year it goes straight to the trash. I really want to tell the sender of this gift who has paid well over $100 for it that we appreciate your thoughtfulness but please give the money to a charity. Each box has the tiniest amount of some sort of waxy coated pretzel nut or popcorn disguising itself is chocolate. The fruit is unripe moist and moldy in the middle. The fruit company’s site will not allow you to submit a review unless all the stars are filled in. I went to the trouble of putting this on their site as a review and when I pressed submit it would not it would not ‘submit’ as if the page had froze. Then it gave instructions at the top how to write an ‘awesome’ review. I called the company they were not helpful as the calls all went to a call system. I left my number and have yet had a callback from them. I do not want compensation I only called them trying to find a way to leave an honest review somewhere either on Google or Facebook and this site came up when I googled it.

I purchased a 6 month fruit club for my husband and was beyond disappointed with the product and the value. I was scheduled to receive the first product-blood oranges by 1/15. We did not receive them timely. I reached out to customer service via email and was sent replacement mangos. I later received the oranges. Neither were very good quality. In February we received the star fruit but again, the quality is comparable to what we have found for much cheaper in the grocery store. In March we were expecting to receive Ugli fruit but it never arrived. Instead, we got a box of papayas but there was no communication to us regarding a replacement. the papayas were pretty good. On April 4th we received an email apologizing stating the issues were "due to restrictions on sending citrus to California, which we are working on getting resolved. We completely understand your frustration and would like to add two months on to the club. There are not any more citrus fruits going out this year, so there should not be any further issues with late or replacement shipments". Then i received a phone call on 4/26 stating that the April fruit would not be coming and they'd like to extend my membership another month to compensate. In May I received a box of 5 mangos which were rotten the very next day when we cut into them. Literally black inside. I emailed customer service that day (May 8th) requesting a refund. It is now May 13th and I have received no reply. I was hoping that the fruit club would offer high quality fruit but I'm sad to say I can find better quality and more exotic variety at the local grocery store.

After spending $64 on a fruit basket that was NEVER delivered to my son, I was told too bad by this unethical company. My son has a door bell camera that after review showed no delivery on the day UPS said they left the basket. When I sent the information to The Fruit Company they said they stand by UPS. So, lesson learned. This company motto is screw you. I don’t want to give them any stars but you can’t leave a review without giving them one.

The tower was nice after is ACTUALLY SHIPPPED! The tracking number never went passed "made label" I called for a week before they would finally send another one realizing it probably never left the warehouse! They resent it forgot some of the stuff that went with the order. I ordered extra cheese in addition to the tower and they still messed it up. Still waiting for another response for a refund!!! Unbelievable!!! Should have stuck with Harry and David

I spent $140 for a fruit basket that was 1 day late first off, and when it was supposedly delivered by UPS, never made it to the Hospital doctors and nurses who are taking care of my husband, a COVID patient on a ventilator. They NEVER offered to reimburse me or send another basket; only to give me $5 back for not delivering the day it was supposed to be delivered. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THE FRUIT COMPANY AGAIN. They did say they were disappointed w/my response because they spent so much time trying to locate the basket. Give me a break, I did too and I'm out $140.00 for NOTHING.

Initially, I had a great experience with this website. Then, a couple weeks later, I was victim to an imposter scam of someone impersonating a Chase Bank employee, asking for my PIN, etc. I asked what address of mine they had on file, and it was the friend I ordered the fruit basket for, so I know they stole it from this website. I am infuriated and embarrassed. I will never order from here again.

So, once I realized this company couldn't fulfill a simple order online I should have known it would be a challenging experience. Nevertheless, I persevered and placed a holiday gift order on the phone. The customer service person droned on and on about their great service and the order would be delivered 4 days before Xmas. Didn't happen and called to apologize the day AFTER the holiday. Would never order from them again.
