I've used Family search for years now and I like the updates that have been made with the searching software. It is now easier to use than it was before. It is cool that I can put in my name and look at my ancestry and see people and how they are related to me. I love how you can add stories about people so it is not just a name but has more to the person.

I have loved using FamilySearch to connect myself to my ancestors. I love the tips service. This helps me know if there are potential records that I can link to someone in my family tree. It is also linked to the records of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints so its easy for me to take their records to one of our temples and do work for them.

My favorite part about this site is that it links a lot of people’s families together. It makes it a lot easier for me to find my ancestors. I also like the ability to link sources from other sites. I have been able to use an account for free through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which runs the site.

This is one addicting site, and I think it should come with a user warning. Seriously though, it works great for Family History, and I use it several times a week. I will say that I would like to see their internal search feature updated and improved. It is very clumsy to use, so much so that I avoid it if possible and use other sites like ancestry.com to search for records.

This app is one of the apps I use more tan any other. I hadn't expected that I would spend hours and hours looking up information about my ancestors. I love the new feature that will tell you how closely related you are to anyone else near you and was surprised to find out that my husband and I are 11th cousins!!!! I LOVE this app.

Our church group went on FamilySearch.org to do some Genealogy work. I was very surprised how easy it was to locate my family that has passed on before me. I am able to now do it on my own and I love it. I really enjoyed reading stories about my family. If you want to do your own Genealogy then FamilySearch.org is a great place to start.

Family Search has the most amazing new tool. On the top toolbar is a Temples option, where you click and names pop up that new temple ordinances. It has made doing temple work for ancestors so easy. I've never taken names to the temple until this tool was made available; this tool made it so accessible.

One of the best geneology packages out there. We have been able to search and find ancestors throughout this software and it seems to be kept up to date. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints so it is important for us to find family members that need temple work done for them and this software has it all.

I use familysearch for all my ancestry data. I’ve spent hours adding photos and information. My biggest complaint is how hard it is to link living people to dead people. I would think it would be just as easy. I was making severa duplicates on living people before I realized it was pointless. Now I just stick to adding information for the dead but it’s hard to link all of it together. My first husband passed away, and I have since remarried but I have no access to my current husband’s lineage because he is still alive. So that part is frustrating.

One of my favorite applications. They have made some changes to make it extremely simple to navigate. You can search ancestors and read the stories and memories that people have added. You can add your own memories as well as pictures. Very nice to use if you are interested in completing your family tree and learning about your ancestors.

It is nice that everything is free. It is interesting to find ancestors and read their stories. The design of the website is attractive and overall easy to use. I personally have had some errors with my family tree but it may be because some of my ancestors records are Chinese. Also, another thing to note is that it does not show living relatives that are not direct (aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, etc)

FamilySearch.org is an amazing website! I would recommend learning how to navigate the website before trying it yourself because it can get confusing. FamilySearch.org has an enormous amount of records, so finding your ancestors is pretty easy. The website has a variety of thing you can do. I find it cool that you can put stories and pictures of your ancestors on the website. Overall a really good website that does a good job with finding/connecting you to your ancestors!

It is also cool to be able to insert pictures and documents and see pictures and documents from family members! Family Search is great because it has so many record already available on it. It also has easy connections to the other sites I use. I like that they are constantly trying to improve the program with new features. I especially love the hints section. I don’t love that anyone can change info on my ancestors. It can cause a mess. But they are usually good to help fix errors if you can prove the error.

I love family search. They make it so easy to update and follow your family line. I did notice that some of the information is incorrect. For example, it had my Dad listed twice as a child to his parents (same birth and death dates tho) and it didn't show some of my siblings listed under our parents.

I love the service. I just wish that strangers with too much time on their hands can add or DELETE correct information that I have put in. In many cases, I have attached personal family records for documentation and people STILL think that their misspelled input from a census record without a birthday is superior to honest to God well-done genealogy work.

I have enjoyed doing family history on this website. I also like the feature of finding out how closely related I am to an individual who has the same app near me. I just click on the app and ask it to find others close to me, usually my family or friends, how closely we are related. A very cool feature!

Positive - it is free and because it is run by the Mormon Church has a lot of information that might not otherwise be available. NEGATIVE - It allows ANYONE to make changes to your family tree. In other words, they can add information whether or not it is accurate (kind of like taking every hint in Ancestry and deciding all of them are relevant) and they can also delete information. When I asked Family Search about this, they said that of course people can, because it helps their genealogical research???? In my opinion, it is exhausting deleting incorrect information and putting back information someone else deleted. You can contact the "contributor" through the site and ask for them to show you their relationship to your tree. However, I found that people who were changing my tree did not, or would not, reply to that. I have, as a result, deleted about all of my paternal lineage (where they were willy-nilly adding and deleting) and will absolutely no longer use their tree app. Too many other sites will help you develop your tree. You can still use Family Search for info, but download it and do not add it to a tree if you have a tree elsewhere
