Pricing and Policy

What consumers will love most about The Bouqs Company is their easy pricing schedule. There are no hidden or confusing fees for a simple bouquet of flowers. Almost all of their flowers have the option of just a $40 flat rate price. This is the price they will see at checkout. For the value and the flowers they are getting, this price is substantially lower than most of their competitor's prices. They provide over 100 different floral arrangements. Each of the 100 plus types of arrangements has at least three different size options available. They also do special event, wedding, and business floral arrangements. They provide their customers with a "Happiness Guarantee" that covers late delivery, quality issues, short vase life, and inaccurate flower composition and/or notecard. They also accept returns within 3 days of delivery.

Freshness

Flowers are cut on the day of delivery, guarantying freshness. The flowers are being cut from high quality farms which naturally rich soil that is kept moist from volcanic snow. None of their competitors can say that about their own flowers.

Customer Service

The Bouqs Company is Bizrate Customer Certified, as of June 3, 2015. There have been over 5,000 customers that have rated their company. The Bad

  • Selection
  • Gift baskets

Selection

Their selection is not as large as some of their competitors. They have a limited amount of flower bouquets - around 100. Only about 50 of their bouquets can be delivered next day. None of their volcanic flowers can be delivered next day.

Gift Baskets

The Bouq Company does not offer any selection of gift baskets. Their products are strictly limited to flowers and floral arrangements. There are no candies or fruits available on their site. Their customer service telephone line isn't available to customers on weekends.

The Bottom Line

Although their selection may be slightly smaller than some of their competitors and they do not provide the option of gift baskets, The Bouqs Company is one of our top recommended flower delivery companies. They are more than fairly priced, their product is of the highest quality, and they make the check-out process as simple as possible for their customers. They also have a large following of happy customers; they are highly rated by both customers and the press. This unique take on flower delivery is a definite must-try for those looking to send flowers to a friend or loved one.

I have been using Bouqs since 2018 - I have LOVED them...until today. I had a problem with my order related to their processing. Therefore my order said pending, but it has really been cancelled. I was not notified at all that there was even an issue. Upon talking to customer service, they said there was nothing I could do and would have to pay through Google Pay (or something similar). Even though this issue was out of my control, customer service was not accommodating. I was very disappointed, as my mom did not receive her flowers. I will unfortunately be using a different flower delivery service in the future.

This was the first time I used the Bouqs' services. It was for a gift for my expecting partner. I wanted to surprise her with the complete gift (Flowers and Vase). Instead, I only received the flowers. I reached out to the company, and did receive a very prompt answer. However, there was no attempt to make the issue right. I was told my money would be refunded, and was assured this is not normal practice. As a consumer, I really don't care how the company normally operates. I don't pay for normal operations. I pay for the items I requested. There was no attempt to make it right. This is my first and only impression of the company's service, and there was no offer to compensate for the company's mistake. Now I, the consumer, pays for the error. Not in the terms of funds, as I was informed my refund is coming, but I didn't receive what I asked for. I ordered my items as my intention was to give all the items. Not receiving the items took away from that intention. The company offering to give a refund as my compensation is not even doing the minimum to make up for it. The company legally has to refund my payment for the vase I didn't receive, otherwise it would be considered stealing. Granted, I was only missing a vase. I easily was able to acquire one locally, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of the service? The flowers were very pretty, however, they were well over priced. I could have went to any flower shop or other online service and purchased, in my opinion, a better selection of flowers for the price paid. I believed the convenience fee was adding to the price. When I didn't receive my item and was greatly inconvenienced, it defeated any justification of over pricing. The company even stated "We look forward to exceeding your expectations in the future". That is a bit presumptuous. I can guarantee I will never use this over priced service that is unwilling to compensate for their mistake

So disappointing. They treat their customer awful. My Fiance order me flowers for my birthday. But he wanted the mason jar vase that come with so he clicked it. Everything was good . Till he got the invoice the vase was missing. Less then a day he let them know he wanted the vase with the order. They basically so rude . What do expect us do. We already ship the flowers. If let us know sooner , we could something. Wow. This so rude . So I contact them letting them know the vase should be in order. But they didn't care. To think we going use them for my wedding flowers not anymore. Rude, unprofessional. They should send out another batch of flowers with silmiar style or price range with vase. That's what other companies have done.

I ordered a small bouquet for someone as a thank you. I chose a small bunch of tropical flowers and the website informed me that a florist in Ecuador had grown them and harvested responsibly to avoid hurting protected species. Sounds great. Unfortunately the bouquet arrived half brown and dried up. Not worth what I spent at all. When I emailed customer service with photos they asked me for more photos and didn't offer any compensation for the pathetic product. Furthermore, I've been bombarded with promotional emails since placing my order and I can't unsubscribe because their site is faulty and doesn't allow me to select the option indicating that I don't want any email from them! I will be avoiding this company going forward and I guess I'll have to block their emails the old fashioned way.

Hi Sondra,

We are so sorry that the thank you Bouq you sent did not arrive as expected and for the way it was handled. This is not the level of service that we hold ourselves to and we'll be following up with an email to try and make things right. Also, our apologies for all the promotional emails. We have already taken steps to take care of that for you.

I'm very disappointed in this company. I ordered for the wrong date and it was a nightmare to cancel the order. In fact, I was not allowed to cancel the order even though I had just ordered the evening before. Orders have to be canceled with more than 7 days in advance of the shipment date, even if you order it and turn around and try to cancel it. A customer service rep said the flowers are put together in South America and were already being prepared to ship, so I could not cancel or change the order date. And! If they give you a gift card for compensation, you can't use it on a subscription, and its a pain in butt to try to even use the gift card! Also, the bouquet that is $32 is tiny! So not worth the money. I'm using Proflowers from now on.

Purchased several flower arrangements for mother’s day. The one sent to MY mother arrived on time, but most “buds” were already opened and not looking good. I reported my mother’s (and my) dissatisfaction, and I was asked to send a pic. I did, expressing my concerns, and compared my pic with the one online at Bouqs. To date - one week later - all I have received were canned responses about care of flowers, etc. My mom called to thank me and berate me for spending money for flowers that only lasted a few days. The Bouqs website claims they will last for weeks! When Mom is not happy, no one is happy ;) Don’t waste your money.

I heard about Bouqs on the radio and was excited to try the company. A friend had a major accomplishment for which flowers would be ideal recognition. My first surprise was finding that the selection diminished based on delivery date. The next surprise was receiving emails saying the delivery was going to be late. Then, after not hearing anything from my friend about the delivery, I had the embarrassing situation of asking if they arrived (even though I'd received an email confirming delivery). The last surprise was an offer for a credit of another $$ order. It wasn't until I mentioned a review that the order amount was reviewed. I'm sure the agents in Customer Service are instructed to provide comps instead of refunds but was sorely disappointed with the process. And the flowers were never received, at least not for the person I intended.

Ordered a bouquet of flowers for delivery a week in advance. The order was the highest upgrade (which included a larger arrangement and a deluxe vase) $86 roughly after a 15% welcome voucher. The flowers ship via fedex, they provide a tracking number when shipped. My order was supposed to be relieved to my wife’s work in Nebraska on Valentine’s Day. The order shipped from San Diego to Indianapolis, IN. The flowers arrived the day after Valentine’s Day, my wife said the box was smashed up and the flowers were all dead and wilted and sent me a picture. The flowers were nothing like described, and almost all completely filler. The upgraded vase was a really cheap plastic. I was embarrassed for my wife, receiving flowers at her job the day after Valentine’s Day in such horrible condition and nothing like what I paid for. I emailed customer service and received no reply. I sent a picture of the arrangement in response to a twitter post from Bouqs page and got a reply immediately. They initially offered me store credit for the amount paid to use on a future order. I requested a refund because I do not feel comfortable ordering their service in the future. They immediately refunded my payment and offered me the store credit to use anyway due to the inconvenience. I’ll give them a star for their twitter customer service but would not order from them again.

The flowers and leaves were drooping and looked on their way to being dried and dead the day they were delivered. I read that this is normal. I followed the directions to cut the stems, added the food to the water and waited the day or two to rehydrate. Only the carnations look nice. The roses are so sad looking. I received these as a birthday gift. I would never use this company for flowers. If I could attach images, I’d happily share the sad state of this bouquet.

What arrived and the ordered picture where not at all the same. They are making a very high profit margin! plastic milkshake cup vases - when I sent picture and complaint - their response - it looked like healthy blooms - and nothing more they could do. Healthy blooms fine but $100.00 for a 15.00 grocery store bouquets outrageous - I would never use again. Am giving two stars because at least they were healthy blooms.

I got a coupon for $40 off a bouquet. I ordered it and when it arrived for what would have cost me $75 with shipping looked like what I could buy at the corner bodega in NYC or a supermarket checkout line. BOUQS.Com to me is a rip-off or at the very least their promo offers! Which to me would be where you overindulge customer to keep them. 5 Browning when I opened the box roses and a ton of baby's breathe and some tiny bud filler flower that dropped a ton of buds as I took out of box. Such a waste of the 35 bucks I had.to pay on top of the coupon of $40 off.

I ordered a bouquet from Bouqs that was a mix of roses, freesias, and succulents. I had specifically filtered my search to include succulents. In the pic on the web site, the succulents were prominent. When the bouquet arrived, and my friend sent me a pic, there were no succulents. Customer service offered me a discount code toward a future order, but repeatedly refused to credit back a portion of what I had already paid. This was my first order and will be my last. Giving 2 stars as the roses and freesias were fine.

I had received flowers from Bouqs on 2 occasions, and thought they were lovely. I sent a 72$ bouquet to a friend. It was marked as delivered, but my friend never received. I called customer support and was told to have her look for them at the neighbors, or in the garage SIX days after they were supposed to be delivered....WHAT? The address was correct and in a regular neighborhood. I asked for a refund. buyer beware

Twice they have failed to deliver on time. Their tracker says "En Route" but nothing ever gets delivered. They tell you the flowers never left the farm... then why would the tracker change its status to "en route?" I would rather know up front that nothing was ever on its way so I could make other arrangements. They've spoiled 2 very important occasions for me and my loved ones.

The flowers were not fresh for Valentines Day 2018; the flowers were too desiccated--the ends were curled, dry, and dead. She was not pleased. Was a waste of money. So much for "fresh from the flower." AVOID. They also offer only the minimum and try to overcharge in upselling to pad the bill. The result is that you pay as much as if you had a local florist deliver. This is a crap company with pretty marketing. AVOID.

I wish I would have reviewed this site before I ordered. I see many people share my main complaints. Although I received the order as promised, I received brownish roses that look like they'll never bloom. I bought the supreme version and got only 12 roses total and a bunch of weeds . I would not recommend this company to anyone and I will never buy from them again. I did complain to the company this morning and I will see how they respond. Depending on how they respond I may modify or remove this review.

UPDATE: After complaining to Bouqs about the late delivery, they've agreed to refund my money. While I'm still not pleased about receiving flowers late, they've at least made up for it. --- Ordered roses from Bouqs for Valentine's day and they never showed up. Order still says "En Route" for 2/14/2017. Looking at the FedEx tracking info, it shows that they shipped out on 2/13 for 2nd day delivery...scheduled for 2/15. Biggest flower day of the year and they manage to mess it up. You can be sure I'll be looking elsewhere from now on.

Website is a hassle to use--too many clicks to see pricing information. I ordered Wednesday morning, which gave me the option for a Thursday delivery, but I wanted them on Friday. I got a message they were packed on Thursday and would be delivered on Friday as requested--before noon. Instead my flowers spent extra time in transit, probably at elevated temperatures, and arrived Saturday noon. A big disappointment. Product seems OK, but definitely not worth the hassle and expense. I got a recommendation for a local florist for next time.

If you use their subscription service know that they often don’t deliver on the date you specify. If you were buying socks that might not matter but, considering that flowers are often for a date specific occasion, it often defeats the purpose of buying flowers

The order was a dozen pink and white lilies. 10 buds and two red lilies arrived. Customer service suggested I wait a few days. That was probably the most obvious advice I've ever received! Of course they will open eventually. The point was i expect at least half to be open upon arrival. I won't ever use their services again.
