First time using Turo and will be the last. We picked up the vehicle in front of a house in an area we did not feel safe in. We got in the car and their was next to no gas...23 miles to empty in an area we were not familiar with at all. There was also a maintenance warning for tires and another for oil and filter. Tried to call turo customer support and they were experiencing high call volume. As we did not feel safe in the area, we took the vehicle. Very dissatisfied so far...i will update upon return of vehicle which we are trying to get changed to the airport.

i rented a mustang from nick w in Honolulu HI the picture looked great but when my wife got there she was to embarrassed to tell me it was nothing like the picture she had the car for 21 hours and drove it 24 miles she filled the car up took it back and then nick said we didn't and the car was driven 45 miles i dont know what he did but he was a lousy host i will never use turo again and i suggest all do the same

This company has no internal guidelines or policy. It Seems that employees make up the rules as they go. I was declined due to my insurance score. When I checked my TransUnion Score it was 850-950 Almost perfect. I'm a 49 year old male with no tickets or accidents for over 30 years. Turo is screwed up, they can't even get the basic background check done correctly.

*** STAY AWAY *** Worst car rental ever. Almost impossible to cancel a car rental. Made a reservation and did not get a confirmation email for 7 weeks. It was only when I called to cancel did I get any interaction. It is clear that customer service are inexperienced and financially incentivised to stop cancellations. It honestly took 1hr 20mins to cancel a reservation. Terrible experience.

I Was a weekly customer of turo for around a year and out of the clear blue I get a call and email about re-verify my account I sent copy of my drivers license credit card and a selfie hold both and was denied an explanation of my account being deactivated I look at a lot of complaints and similar complaint seems this is happening to black people and there's has to be some sort of discrimination I had over 30 5 star reviews from renters

The renter they gave my car to was unverifed and they had no contact info for him to contact him at after he kept my car for almost a week. Had to track car down myself. Car had thousands in damage that Turo refuses to cover after they sold me an insurance policy to cover it. This company will rip you off and stick you with the bill fpr damages caused by their renters!

Turo has worst system, they rely on the car owner's decision, if the car owner complain they fine, without giving any warning. And some of the car owner plays double standard, they communicate to renter something and turo something else. I used just 4-5 Gallon gas in CAR and filled with 8-9 Gallon of gas and the car owner Francis and turo together, without giving any information charged huge amount from me. In turo Car owner can do whatever, and turo would listen to car owner. I was unneccesorily charged 75$.
