The Good

  • Website Navigation
  • Trip Destinations
  • Travel Protection
  • Mobile App
  • Customer Service & Policies

Website Navigation

Travelocity's website navigation is straightforward and makes it simple for customers to operate its search engine to book travel accommodations. Some travel booking companies overload their sites with advertisements, but Travelocity's site is relatively clean.

Users can search by destination to book a ticket or make a reservation for a variety of products, services, and attractions:

  • Flights
  • Hotels
  • Car rentals
  • Cruises
  • Vacation packages
  • Ground transport to and from the airport
  • Attractions, such as:
  • Theme park tickets
  • Studio tour passes
  • Tour bus tickets
  • Historical site tours
  • Sporting events
  • Some train tickets
  • Concert tickets

Trip Destinations

Travelocity regularly offers flight and hotel deals for destinations not typically found on other travel booking sites such as Milan, Italy, and Copenhagen, Denmark. The company makes it simple for travelers to find out which deals are popular by providing a list of popular places to visit, hotels, flight destinations, and rental cars on its homepage.

Review Icon

Customer Review: Michelle from Saratoga Springs, Utah

"Travelocity is a great comparison tool to make sure you are getting the best deal on airfare and hotel. I like that they give you options from all airlines and even highlight the best option (based on price and travel times)."

Travel Protection

Travelocity seeks to cover the concerns of its customers by offering travel protection that covers the following:

  • Canceled or changed trips before travelers fly
  • Protection after flights (lost, stolen, or damaged baggage; medical expenses)
  • 24/7 worldwide emergency assistance

Mobile App

Travelocity's app for Apple and Android devices helps travelers gain access to mobile-only offers and promo codes exclusively available through the app. Additionally, users can use the app to search over 400 airlines and more than 435,000 hotels worldwide using their smartphone or tablet.

Customer Service & Policies

Travelocity offers 24/7 customer service on Twitter and Facebook.

The site offers price a price match guarantee for cruises, flights, and car rentals based on certain criteria. However, each customer should be aware that in order to take advantage of this guarantee, they must do so within 24 hours of booking. For hotels, you can price match up until the day before your stay is scheduled.

When it comes to cancelation, you can cancel for free within 24 hours of booking a flight. Some other travel sites charge fees to cancel a flight, even within 24 hours.

Additionally, if your reserved rental car is unavailable, your airline cancels your flight, your hotel’s pool is closed or reservation is lost, you can contact Travelocity to handle the issue.

The Bad

  • Lack of Cancellation Transparency
  • Rewards Program Limitations

Lack of Cancellation Transparency

It is difficult to find cancellation information on Travelocity's website. While it is clear that the company will not charge hotel cancellation fees, it is a bit harder to find information about service fees for other accommodations and reservations. Some cancellations may be eligible for a full refund while others may not. It would be helpful if Travelocity provided a transparent policy regarding flight, hotel, and other travel accommodation cancellations in an easily accessible place on its site

Rewards Program Limitations

A possible hindrance to Travelocity's rewards program is that it is carried out through American Express, a card issuer that is not accepted at some merchants and restaurants. Further, some people may not feel comfortable enrolling in credit card loyalty programs with:

  • APRs start at 15 percent and run as high as 25 percent
  • Points expire 48 months from the last date travel was booked using the rewards program
gavel

The Bottom Line

Travelocity is an online travel agency with straightforward web navigation, a number of uncommon destinations, travel protection, a mobile app, and a price guarantee to make sure that users get a great deal. However, the company is not entirely transparent about its cancellation fees and policy and its rewards program has some limitations.

Where to start... First, they are probably fine if you are doing a simple flight on a reputable carrier. Don't book too early, as, the first problem, if a flight is cancelled, Travelocity doesn't always tell you - and rebooking you is just not their problem. For us, we booked several months in advance, a trip overseas. There were mixed carriers - Delta and Air France. When Covid caused things to be delayed, the nightmares started. First, I could not cancel - I got a credit. I could live with that. I went with Travelocity because their fares (for First and Business class), were several hundred dollars cheaper than direct on Delta or Air France. When I called to rebook, and I gave them the itinerary I wanted, they said I could only select itineraries from the Air France website - not Travelocity. So I ended up spending over $1000 more per ticket. Ok, so already I would NEVER use Travelocity again... but the reservations all went through, and I had printouts with confirmations and seats. Next, I was confirming reservations about two months later to send out to the guests on the trip. Funny, the connecting flights were not there - just the international portion. I called both airlines (Delta and Air France). They told me that Travelocity had cancelled those legs. Ok, no one told me. So another 90 minutes on the phone with Travelocity agents (who are friendly, but as frequently reviewed, can barely speak English and are just not equipped with tools to be helpful). I finally was told that the flight was cancelled. I told them I was looking at the flight on the Delta website right now. Confusion and silence, long hold, then they came back and sad there was a schedule change - so they cancelled the flight. Huh? I said I wanted the flight, but the told me there was nothing they could do. I ended up must buying more tickets myself - this time directly from Delta. Basically, use Travelocity to get price comparisons, but DO NOT USE THEM TO ACTUALLY PURCHASE ANYTHING!

Horrible customer service. Please avoid unless you want to risk your time and money! Here is my story: My husband and I booked a flight to Europe but he got into a car accident before the trip (he got hit by a hit-and-run driver) and was in ICU for a few days. Everything was documented. We had to cancel our trip and Travelocity issued us credits. Fast forward to half a year later when we wanted to use our credits for the previously canceled Europe trip, turned out we needed to book through their agent on the phone. The wait time was five hours (5 hours! Not a typo!). They had a call back option and they called us at 3am (yes, 3am in the morning because they don’t care). First agent couldn’t book our flights because our credits needed 72 hours to validate. We called back 3 days later, spoke to the 2nd agent and he had technical issue on his system while booking the flight, when my husband asked him if someone could fix his system because we didn’t want to be put on hold for hours again, he hung up on us (did not call back or sent us an email). We called and spoke to a 3rd agent, he got disconnected while making a booking. He sent us an email telling us the call was disconnected so we needed to call back. We made another attempt to call and the 4th agent, who called us at 12:30am, said she couldn’t validate our credits, therefore couldn’t make a booking for us. At this point, I’m going to file a fraud with my cc because this company is a total scam.

If I could give them a zero, I would. Travelocity sold us two unusable tickets for $1500 (didn't reserve them right with the airlines) and won't give us our money back. This is what happend: We purchased tickets ($750 each) from Travelocity to Cabo San Lucas for American Airlines (AA) travel in March of 2020, which we did not end up using due to the pandemic. Travelocity told us that "it was our right" (their words) to reschedule these tickets to October of 2021. When they changed the tickets, they mistakenly put two tickets in my name (Alicia C) and took away my niece's ticket, Ellie B. I spent approximately 40 hours with HORRIBLE customer service trying to get the tickets fixed. They finally told me they had gotten a ticket in Ellie's name. When we showed up at the airport, AA told us that Travelocity had neglected to fill in the details for Ellie B, they could not let her on the plane, and there was nothing they could do. We called travelocity to fix the ticket, and received no response after waiting on hold for 2 hours. After waiting nearly 2 years to go on this vacation, my sister did not want to disappoint her daughter so purchased her and Ellie tickets on a different airline (United A), 1-way for $3000 (Ellie, 11, could not ride alone on an airplane to Mexico). We contacted travelocity 3 more times while in Cabo. After spending another 6 hours with them, we were unable to get the tickets fixed- we were told "management" would contact us by multiple agents- They never did. So, Sara purchased another ticket for Ellie for her return flight home for another $300. After returning, we spent another 15 hours with customer service to get our money back for Ellie's $750 ticket which never worked, and Sara's $750 ticket which she was unable to use, needing to accompany her daughter. Travelocity finally sent us an email asking for receipts. I sent them the receipts in November. I never heard back from them. I contacted them again in January, and they said they never received a reply/receipts, AA had took control of the reservation and they could no longer help us. They owe us minimum $1500 for the unusable tickets we paid for. I promise, none of this is an exaggeration, and I left out a lot. We are livid. Please don't use them.

I booked a flight with Travelocity that was later canceled. I booked another flight outside of Travelocity. The airline still shows the flight as open and shows me as actively having a ticket, so charging me. Travelocity cannot figure out what is going on, each person says something different. I got (on my email address) a confirmation for a new flight that they say is not for me, and it was sent to me by mistake. Stress I don't want when I'm on vacation. Told me after and hour on hold, then disconnected, I may need to wait up to 3 hours on hold for them to reach the airline. I told them their issue with canceling my ticket and the airline is not my problem. I was told a supervisor would call me, never happened. Card is now charged for two flights. About two hours so far spent and no one can get it figured out. After this, I will never use Travelocity again.

I booked and paid for a foreign car rental using Travelocity. The Travelocity web description of this car rental company was that it was located at the airport. When I arrived at the foreign airport, though, the car rental was not found at the airport. Once I was able to get a phone to work in this foreign country, I called the car rental and was told that they were not located at the airport and that no car was available for me although I had the reservation and had paid for it. I attempted to contact Travelocity online to assist but the useless virtual chat was all that I could get. Its responses were not designed to assist users having issues and I found it to be even more frustrating. When I returned I contacted Travelocity about my issues but Travelocity closed my case because they could not contact the foreign car rental company. I am very disappointed in Travelocity's lack of support and assistance and will no longer be using their services. I also complained to Travelocity that they were continuing to advertise this car rental company at the airport when it wasn't. The message probably fell on deaf ears.

Booked a trip to Europe today. The ride over was going to be about 12 hours. I failed to notice the return trip was 24 hours until I paid for it. No worries, right next to the purchase button, it says there is a 24 hour cancel policy. Right after I read the bad news about the long return leg, I tried to cancel online. Ops, it says there is a “glitch” with the website - call the 800 number. Well, “Faye” needs English training - another brick in the wall of cancelation. I think I heard her suggest the trip insurance company. Supervisor please - long hold. Then after 29 minutes on hold, she said I needed to call United Airlines. I have filed a BBB, and will pursue a charge-back tomorrow with USAA. I am trying to figure out how to submit a Google review, but it appears that's only for local merchants, not big corporations.

Travelocity customer service is non existent. You cannot get in touch with a live person and if you do they are in India. I spent 2 hours on the phone with someone trying to cancel a trip within the 24 hour window and they charged me anyway then issued me a credit!!! They were also unable to use my "credit" from the FY 2020 pandemic and the ticket they wanted to book with the credit was more expensive than the one available on the website directly. After numerous attempts at contacting them again the phone hangs up after taking you through a series of prompts asking for your CC, Itinerary # and phone number. Total joke. Terrible customer service. SCAM. Buyer Beware. Whatever price you pay is not worth booking through them!!!

I had an abysmal experience with Travelocity support this evening. I received a call from the reserved hotel this evening indicating that the King room I had booked through Travelocity was not available. However another room with 2 beds was available. If that was okay, he recommended I contact Travelocity to change the room and get a refund for the lower price. Gary from the hotel indicated he would confirm this when Travelocity would call him. I proceeded to try to use the Virtual Agent to make this change but was told I needed to talk to an agent. I called and had to navigate a frustrating menu until prompted for my itinerary number. Unable to enter that number quick enough (I was on my mobile phone),the call was dropped. I wrote down the 14 digit number and called again. After navigating the same frustrating menu, I entered the number. Things got worse. An agent came on the line who could not clearly speak English. Nor would she listen to me. Ske kept taling about a penalty charge for the change. I asked for a supervisor and was placed on hold. I gave up after 30 minutes. I then called the hotel and worked with them - they were very supportive in contrast to Travelocity. To add insult to injury, I found out I could have saved a substantial amount by booking directly through the hotel. Travelocity = higher room prices and extremely poor customer service. I will not be doing business ever again with Travelocity.

Travelocity is a scam, they sell one thing and the companies deliver something different and they don't care. All our American airlines flights were changed despite booking months in advance. We booked a car rental through Travelocity using Easirent in Tampa Florida, we payed insurance and set up a pickup time using Travelocity and Easirent charged us again for insurance and we had to wait 1.5 hours for our rental car pickup. We booked a bay view hotel through Travelocity for the Hilton resort and Spa in Clearwater Florida based upon pictures of rooms from the website only to receive a parking lot view with only a tiny view of the ocean. We called Travelocity to complain and they did nothing to help.

Corrupt corrupt corrupt! Do not use this company. All of their charges are lies; the hotel rates are way less. You can not get ahold of anyone. If you cancel, they will never refund your money, even though you have not yet stepped foot in the hotel. I tried to cancel a reservation literally five minutes after I booked, once I realized they lied about the 50% discount on their website. I looked at the hotel website, and found out that the hotel rates are way less than the 50% off on this company's website. It takes days to get ahold of someone. They refused to refund me, claiming that the hotel does not give refunds, which is a lie, and I found that out after contacting the hotel. One of the hotel desk employees informed me that this company is lying to me. They will take your money, and will not refund you. Do yourself a favor, and don't buy anything through this website. P.s., all of them are in India, if that makes you feel any safer. Good luck.

I booked a trip with Travelocity then had to change it due to COVID. Okay, not their fault, but you can't ever reach anyone! I was able to rebook part of the trip on the website, but then I hit a wall and was told I'd have to speak to an agent. I keep trying to fix it online, and the chat agent seemed about to make the booking, but then said there was a problem, but that the agent would personally attend to it and be in touch. After several weeks of no contact I tried the online service again, but I kept getting the response that there's no chat agent available, I needed to call. I called at about 11:00 am and was told (by the machine) that I would get a call back. When I didn't I called again at 2:00 pm, again getting the message that I'd receive a call back . They finally did call me back at 12:30 am and 2:45 am (when, obviously, I was not available to take the call, because I, like most of the world, work days). Pretty much you need an entire free day if you're going to call, which obviously I had to do, so I tried again on a day when I was home from work sick. After 6 hours on hold (carrying the phone around the house and listening to their horrible hold music), I did reach a person who, after another hour on the phone, still couldn't fix my problem. Finally she said she was contacting a supervisor who would call me right back, so I should keep the line open. I postponed other business calls (which I had had to do all day while waiting on hold) so that I would be available, but that was a week ago and still no call back. Because I'm off work today I'm currently waiting for yet another call back. Wish me luck and DON'T BOOK WITH TRAVELOCITY!!!

I thought I had booked a flight, received a confirming e-mail then a week passed and there was no charge on my credit card. I called back, got a non-English speaking man who couldn’t tell me why I didn’t have a reservation. I asked for an English speaker or a supervisor and was told no one was available. I called twice more and always got a person who couldn’t speak English. When they called me back it was at 11PM!!! I was sound asleep and asked to be contacted during regular business hours. Then a charge appeared on my credit card for the trip but no e-mail to confirm and when I looked at my account it showed the trip cancelled. I WILL NEVER USE TRAVELOCITY AGAIN!!! Also, no refund yet and somehow my credit from last year during COVID has vanished.

I was packed and ready to go with three negative Covid tests, and all the documentation and requirements ready to fly. While I’m trying to check in for my 7:45pm flight 24 hours prior the flight which is on 04/28,( today ) I received an email from Travelocity conveniently also at 7:45pm on 04/27 that my first part of flight from Denver to Chicago was canceled by United air. Flat out LIE!! The flight is still available and it was never canceled!!! I also called United air, and they’ve confirmed that not only the flight is still available but that it was Travelocity who canceled us from the flight NOT United! They are a CRIMINALS and LIERS, justice needs to be served!!!!

I'm writing this as the clock ticks to hour four of my hold time with Travelocity customer "support". Most businesses operating in the 21st century can provide an automated callback. Not Travelocity. I think the Sears Roebuck Catalog had more sophisticated phone support. The reason I'm on hold in the first place is that Travelocity is attempting to fraud me out of $900 I spent on a flight that was canceled due to COVID. I understand that every business is facing challenges due to a pandemic, but this has been next-level manipulative. Travelocity hasn't even put in the effort to give the mirage that they care about you or your travel. I would feel in better hands buying snake oil from the MyPillow guy. Counting the six hours I spent with their chat "support" last night, and the four hours I waited for an American Airlines callback, I've now spent approximately 0.2% of my life dealing with a flight credit that could have been handled in 5-minutes. What a shame. We don't get that time back. I will never book with these predatory frauds ever again, and I advise you to do the same. Google Flights has the exact same functionality. If you are booking any sort of travel, cut out the predatory middleman and use Google Flights. I'm begging you.

I have now used them for 2 different trips and will not use them again. I gave them a second chance because I believe in second chances, but after the issues I have had I will not be a returning customer to Travelocity. My first trip was to Vegas and I had planned it months in advance. Everything was fine until 3 weeks before we left, they tell me my plane is changing and we will have to come back a day later. So I contacted them and advised I need them to get me a hotel for the extra day since I will not have anywhere to stay since they messed up my flight. They say they will and the will call me within an hour to confirm. They tried telling me I had to pay an additional $250 for the one extra night. I told them I wasnt having that, since it wasnt my fault to begin with. So they finally fixed it after 6 calls and attempts to speak with a manager, or so I thought, until the following Wednesday (still 2 weeks before I leave) I get a call from the hotel asking me if i am still going to be there to check in that night. They gave me the wrong booking night. Another 3 calls and I finally had that figured out and fixed. So that was the nightmare with my first time. The next time we went to universal orlando and they screwed up my flight again, thank goodness I am the type of person to check everything and recheck, because my flight had been changed and they never even told me. So I contact them and tell them that I was never advised of the trip being changed, they come back with "we called you on January 20th of 2020 to let you know." Only problem being that I ordered the trip in May of 2020 and it was not even the 20th of January of 2021, so I know that was a lie, had I not checked, I would have missed my flight. Same thing happened on the way back from Orlando, they tell me my flight was at 11:15 and it was actually at 9:30, again would have missed my flight and both times I tried to talk to someone about it, they hung up the line. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Misleading Marketing to refund credit, not a refund! I purchased a travel vacation with travelocity because it says in big letters full refund available. I was considering waiting and took a chance believing that they were telling the truth. I purchased it and about 36 hours later I tried to get my refund only to see that it had to be in the first 24 hrs for an actual refunds and now the best I could get is an airline credit for the money. This is misleading advertising and I feel ripped off. If the marketing had said, full refund in the next 24hrs or credit thereafter I would not have purchased. The misleading advertising caused me to go ahead and now I cant cancel and I have legitimate reasons to cancel. I hate lying misleading crappy marketing. I see the kind of company Travelocity and I want a full refund!.

I had been with Travelocity for a minimum of 10nyears-probably more and never had to ask for anything special. We were looking for a Mexico vacation and we were of course concerned with the ability to cancel due to Covid. So when we started the booking it stated that the trip was refundable up to a week before-We had to change to go to Cancun vs Cozumel as our friends were not sure due to their age they could get around as easy and get to Cozumel. We went to change our plans and that when the fun began. They (someone in a foreign country) stated we can get a credit for the airfare but could not change packages even though we were going to same resort company and same airline. I asked for the refund and was told no, on airfare only a credit. This took 2 days, countless hours on hold and still the same result-They wanted %1500 more to go to Cancun vs Cozumel even with the same hotel chain! It was frustrating and difficult-No more and beware of phony guarantees they make.

Recently booked a (nonrefundable) hotel (Hotel Amadeus Krakow Poland) through Travelocity prior to the COVID outbreak. All of my other travel arrangements were canceled by the cruise company (Seven Seas), airlines (Iceland Air, Whizz Air, Lot Airways), and other hotel operators and all issued 100% refunds of funds pair or deposited. Travelocity and Hotel Amadeus are the only ones that have not issued a refund of any sort or even a partial refund. Travelocity has added no value to the booking process and while they haven't paid any money yet to the hotel says they cant issue a refund and the hotel doesn't want to give up free . I dont see any value in using Travelocity for any travel transaction in the future as they offer 0 value in the travel proicess

I would give 0 stars but it wasn't an option. I had booked a vacation from Chi to FL which had ro be canceled due to Covid 19 and Travelocity issued flight credit valid for 12 months. I had to be on hold 2 times for 3 hours until I got a hold of a customer service representative. I searched for my new tickets to Florida with AA and found 2 roundtrip tickets for $512 and it clearly stated on the bottom that the price is for 2 travelers. $230 departure flight and the rest was for the return flight per individual. The representative finally answers and tells me that i need ro pay 512 per person and her system was down and we both knew that's a lie..SCAMMER!! I fly all the time and the only reason i didn't book it myself is because you needan agenr to assist you. They are going out of their way to prevent people from using those flight credits and have the most unprofessional and undertrained employees...EXPIDIA IS GREAT A D I NEVER HAVE HAD ISSUES LIKE THESE WITH THEM!!!

Horrible experience! I had to cancel a trip last-minute because the coronavirus made the conference I was attending shut down. I was on the phone with Travelocity (through whom I had booked the hotel) for almost an hour, was constantly put on hold, and then they claimed they had gotten a refund for me. Weeks later, I have gotten no refund, and when I contacted the hotel they said that Travelocity hadn't even canceled the stay! I tried to call them but their line was "out of business", and a "chat agent" was incredibly unhelpful and basically said they had done the refund but the hotel had refused it (which wasn't true). I will never use them again, and suggest you don't either. Horrible company!

Travelocity sold us a ticket from Phoenix, AZ to Burbank, CA. The ticket said it was from JetBlue airline, so when my husband went to the airport to check in, the kiosk said "unable to print boarding pass go to the ticket counter". Fine, except no one was at the JetBlue counter at all, apparently their hours are 7pm-12am?! Anyhow, turns out JetBlue bought the ticket on a flight through someone called JetSuiteX. Except they are actually called JSX now, and don't actually fly out of SkyHarbor, they use some small outfit called Swift Air. No signage for JetSuiteX, or JSX, and no one in the airport proper could tell him where to go, because Travelocity sent a confirmation email without either a gate assignment OR an actual flight number. Needless to say, he missed his uncle's 98th birthday, and Travelocity spent over an hour telling us they wouldn't do a thing to help until they could get JetBlue to admit it was THEIR fault first. JetBlue refunded the ticket...or maybe it'll happen 7-10 days from now, WELL after the celebration is over. So a VERY sarcastic THANKS A MILLION Travelocity and JetBlue! NEVER EVER USING THEIR SERVICES AGAIN!!! What a SCAM!!

I purchased two tickets to Barcelona. I was informed by Travelocity in an email that my ticket was canceled. Weirdly, only my ticket, not my partner's. The email went on to offer me two options to change my outgoing flight. It made no mention of my return flight. I called and spoke to an agent who said I was able (and therefore my partner was also) to cancel our reservations since the new outgoing flight options changed our wait time in Dublin from 2 hours to 12. I said I wanted to discuss with my partner. I called back and stated we wanted to cancel both reservations. After a wait of 40 minutes I was told my reservation was canceled but my partner's was not because the problem was with my return flight! (my return was different than my partner's. This was not mentioned in the email I received. Their resolution was my partner would keep the same reservation and I could make a new one. There was no concern that this would cost me more since I was booking later. While on hold I visited the site of the airline providing the service and found shorter and apparently less expensive options. You are not getting the best deal you can find through Travelocity. A little extra time on the internet to visit airline sites will find better deals. Expedia – owns Travelocity, Orbitz, CheapTickets, Hotwire and eBookers. I suggest you stay away from all of them.

This has been the worst experience I have EVER had with a travel agency/booking website! I personally will NEVER use Travelocity ever again!! I would rather pay hundreds of dollars more on a different site or with the airline directly to avoid the possibility of an issue with booking the ticket and having to rely on the Travelocity representatives to fix the issue. I had two letters in my middle name that were inverted, so I needed to have it changed to match my passport. I was told repeatedly by Travelocity that it's policy for fees/charges for name corrections was that it would charge whatever the airline required. In this case, a typical name correction for the airline I booked with would cost $130 per name. However, the airline had an exception for minor mistakes which stated, "[i]f you've made a small spelling mistake with your name, get in touch with us and we'll correct this free of charge, up to 3 characters per name." Because my middle name had two inverted letters, I was told directly by the airline that this exception would apply in my case. Therefore, in accordance with Travelocity's policy of following the airline's policy for this issues, I should not be charged by Travelocity for the change. However, when I called Travelocity and eventually was transferred to the correct department, the Travelocity representative "called" the airline to check the policy, and the representative told me that it would be $130. After trying to correct this discrepancy, I called to confirm that Travelocity actually called to confirm the policy, and the airline representative told me that no Travelocity representative had actually called to confirm the policy. I interpreted this to mean that the Travelocity representative had LIED to me about checking the policy, and they just wanted to collect the fee and not actually help me. Thankfully, after calling many more times, it was later confirmed that subsequent Travelocity representatives had called in response to my many inquiries about this issue. However, the discrepancy was still not being corrected. I finally tried to find other solutions by asking if I could do a three-way call with the airline representative and Travelocity representative. The initial Travelocity representative said that it was not allowed, but the name change Travelocity representative said that we could do this. After an hour long three-way call with the airline representative and Travelocity representative, the Travelocity representative was finally told the correct information, and I was given the name change for free. Although the issue was finally resolved, all of this should not have been necessary. I should not have had to take over 6 hours of my own time to make these phone calls, and my own extreme hard work to get this issue resolved. Travelocity representatives should be there to advocate for and assist their customers in the best way possible. Unfortunately, my impression was that the Travelocity representative simply wanted to get the easy answer and get off the phone instead of working hard to resolve the problem. I am extremely disappointed in Travelocity's willingness to help its customers and diligence in finding the correct answer. For these reasons I will never use Travelocity again.

We bought tickets for a concert & booked a nearby Clarion hotel online BUT upon payment...the reservation showed we had somehow been booked at a TraveLodge instead!!? Concert day, after driving around not being able to find the Travelodge & only a few hours to go before the concert started, we decided to drive to the Clarion. After explaining our predicament, the Clarion desk rep exclaimed with great exasperation "you're the 11th couple to arrive with no information showing in our computer that Travelocity booked a reservation for you here tonight!" She then said "Travelocity had no business showing we had a vacancy on their website because the Clarion has been booked up for days" & to add insult to injury...she stated "the TraveLodge here has been closed for over a YEAR!" Soooo at the last minute we were left scrambling to look for someplace else to sleep in a town already booked to capacity. Never again will Travelocity receive our patronage...NEVER.

Travelocity... What an Atrocity!!! I have booked my vacations in the past with Travelocity, and the experience was fair. After this last experience I will never use their booking services again. I recently booked a vacation package to Cartagena, Colombia which included flights+hotel accommodations, and a rental car. The trip is still a month away and I am already having issues with their lack of customer service. This does not give me a feeling of comfort in how this vacation will go. I booked a room with two queen beds for 2 guests and they have it listed as 1 guest. When I requested they make the changes, they told me it will cost an additional $177.00 USD per night for the second guest to share my room. I brought it to their attention that their website clearly states the "Base Rate Per Room Includes 2 Guests". Now they do not want to honor this price and want me to pay an additional $708.00 for the 4 night stay. Please be forewarned they do not honor what they advertise and will try and up-charge and overcharge for everything. Definitely shop elsewhere for a cheaper, stress-free vacation experience. I may update this review if the trip turns out better than the initial booking experience.

I would give 0 if possible. Made reservation 9 months in advance and clicked 'non-refundable' in error...called Travelocity and asked within the hour to change to refundable and was ultimately denied after hours of negotiating in good faith, believing I was a customer they might wish to cultivate by changing my reservation for me. NO NO NO after leading me on for months. I lost $163 for nothing more than a wrong click and then given a royal run around and around. I am a 71 year old and have never been stolen from blatantly and to my face before. Never use this 'service'...my advice after very poor treatment.

3 weeks before my trip I found a lower price advertised by Travelocity forthe same hotel i booked earlier thru travelocity.. There was a $25.00 per night lower price same hotel advertised by travelocity. Called Travelocity about procedure for their Lowest price guarantee and informed an application and snap photo shot of the advertised lower price which i sent. Waited the 48 hours for the tier 3 customer servie to respond and called again saaid they never received my e-mail or snap shot. Sent the customer serive lower price guarantee apploication four times total with snapshot and made 4 phone calls and put on hold for 2 hours each time I called travelocity , poke with Spervisors and the tier 3 customer service never approved the application with the snap shot at all. Travelocity are LIARS THERE IS NO LOWER PRICE GUARANTEE AT ALL. I WILL NEVER USE TRAVELOCITY AGAIN .

They booked my flight to one island and hotel on another. No ferry or flights running between the islands that day or my day of departure. The app forces you into these options with no warnings. When I booked another trip through them I didn’t have to worry about this my connecting flight was all set. Isn’t that their service? Good thing I noticed as I was bordering the plane. Where’s my thousands of dollars Travelocity? Stop blaming Delta and the hotel.

Just plain awful. We purchased cancelation service and later learned we were unable to get our money back. It had to be a credit, which does not even show up in the credits section of the website. Tickets were for the 4 of us, so the refund cannot be combined. It must be split 4 ways. You cannot combine credits. And we had AA going to destination and Delta on return. So, we cannot combine between airlines. We will never use Travelocity again.

Your reference to 24/7 customer service is inaccurate unless you count this as customer service: being asked to hold on the phone for 11 hours (not a typo - eleven hours) to talk to an agent, being pushed to use social media for customer service where all you get are automated responses for 12+ hours and no way to resolve the problem after the case. Deals can be good on the front end but you better hope there are no problems with your booking.

Please do not use Travelocity! If there are not issues, you will be ok, but if there are any issues with your travel, their customer service is absolutely horrible. They can't do anything, there is no record of anything. They can't contact airline companies, if there are issues with your tickets, even though they were the ones booking those tickets. Absolutely terrible, terrible, terrible service. This is not a travel agency! They don't do their job! Will never use them again.

Cannot get a refund of my $1539.80 charge for a Full Size SUV that was never delivered. Oct 2nd rental at BWI airport with Dollar, on arrival Dollar was closed was directed to Hertz! Hertz had NO full size SUVs, instead after an hour I was offered a Jeep Compass, take or wait to see if anything else becomes available. Charged another $460.68, and told the refund would have to come from Travelocity! Customer Service is a Joke, stated that Dollar says rental was fulfilled, but offered no documentation for a Full Size SUV!

DO NOT TRUST OR DO BUSINESS WITH TRAVELOCITY. They are thieves. Booked a room for two nights at Harrahs in Atlantic City. They charged us for the two nights but only paid Harrahs for one of the nights. We had to pay Harrahs ourselves at a higher rate for the 2nd night. Travelocity will not refund the 2nd night according to their "terms & conditions". THEY ARE THIEVES.

I recently attempted to purchase an airline ticket when the price changed from $275ish to $380ish I was still okay with the "bargain". However, upon attempting to make the purchase, they were trying to charge my card $875ish... I went back to Travelocity a couple of weeks later and booked a hotel. The website errored out and changed my dates on a non-refundable reservation. I will never use Travelocity or Expedia again.

Such a total lack of customer service and total unwillingness to assist. Covid-19 lockdown has resulted in unable to travel but Travelocity have so far refused to supply me a refund. From excuses of unable to contact the hotel to several times being told to be patient, which the hotel advise have not been contacted and have in fact emailed direct, which I was CC'd in. The refund policy is a blatant lie and this company should not be allowed to operate

My wife wanted to cancel the seventh night of a one week stay at a hotel. The hotel said it had to be done through Travelocity since it was booked by Travelocity. I waited for an hour and 1/2 to talk to Travelocity. When I finally got through they said that she had to call Traelocity on the day she was checking out. I told them she would not have an hour and a half on the day of travel to talk to them again. They didn’t care.

Travelocity SUCKS! Getting ahold of anyone via phone is impossible (wait for 2 hours, not an exaggeration, or they will "call me back" but when they do, no one ever picks up and after speaking to the verification robot I'm just stuck on hold). On my honeymoon I booked a king bed hotel room, they gave me a 2 twin bed room. I HATE HATE HATE travelocity!!!

booked a flight but had to change return flight two days later. The flight on American Air was fully refundable ( I paid extra for that convenience) When I booked the change on return flight for 3 people in my group, there was a $370 reduction in cost. Travelocity refuses to refund my money or allow me to use it for baggage fees. I tried calling, but only able to get a call center in India where no one understands what I am trying to do and cannot get any other number to find someone who can help. Last time I will ever use Travelocity

Bad experience . Travelocity uses and agreement with AIG Travel Guard. Their agreement means the customer always pays and is the loser. We were forced to purchase within 24 hours by Travelocity. Travel Guard will not cancel after two weeks. We cancelled our travel within the 100% free cancellation period so no insurance would be required. Travel Guard would not refund the policy cost--even if cancellation was because of coronavirus. I will not use Travel Guard again or be forced by Travelocity to purchase within 24 hours.

I had booked a hotel earlier this year in South Florida through Travelocity. Based on my doctor's advice in mid-March as a result of the high Coronavirus infections in SO. Florida, we had to cancel the hotel. The hotel charged a $186 cancel charge that the hotel said was due to Travelocity rules. When I asked for a refund Travelocity said no. During this time of crisis when the world is suffering... for them to be so cold is beyond me. Will never use Travelocity again.

I booked a hotel in Slovenia through Travelocity and when I had to cancel it due to an emergency, there was no clear way to cancel through travelocity. The instructions they give are not accurate so there is no way to get through to them to cancel. I cancelled with the hotel directly and they would not honor the free refund within 7 days prior to stay and still no way to get a hold of travelocity. I had booked several other hotels through Orbitz that were easily cancelled with refunds processed with days. Will never use Travelocity again!

DO NOT USE THEM. Lying customer service. Give terrible customer service. In total they had us wait over 6 hrs while they “tried to get a supervisor” or “tried to get hotel”. They would not cancel booking so we have 2 rooms in nyc same dates. We are not first time customers. My husband USE TO use them for employee trips, hotels and rental cars. We will no longer use them for anything. HORRIBLY DISHONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!
