The Good

  • FanProtect Guarantee
  • Finding Events
  • Last Minute Services
  • Seller Resources

FanProtect Guarantee

FanProtect is StubHub’s guarantee that you can buy and sell tickets safely on its website and apps. Every ticket order purchased or sold at StubHub sites or apps is 100% backed by FanProtect.

  • FanProtect for Ticket Buyers
    • Get valid tickets to any event or your money back.
    • Find replacement tickets if there’s an issue with your order.
    • A full refund if an event is canceled (and not rescheduled).
    • Receive tickets in the mail or instantly through the StubHub app.
  • FanProtect for Ticket Sellers
    • Free to list tickets.
    • Can set and adjust your price any time before tickets sell.
    • Fast delivery and timely payment.
    • StubHub handles buyer communication.

Finding Events

StubHub makes it easy to identify events that interest you. The home page automatically loads “popular near you” events based on your location and you can perform your own searches by city and date.

Additionally, StubHub’s app for iOS and Android can sync up with your music library and notify you when your favorite artists are in town.

Last Minute Services

Last Minute Services (LMS) is provided by a StubHub affiliate that allows last-minute ticket buyers to pick up physical tickets at select locations:

  • Arlington, TX
  • Chicago, IL
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • New York, NY

This is a great option for buyers to purchase a ticket right up until the start of an event without worrying about delivery times as the event approaches.

Seller Resources

StubHub provides ample assistance for ticket sellers. There are video instructions regarding each step of the process, including how to list and manage ticket sales. StubHub’s pricing recommendation technology helps you decide how to price your tickets for the best chance of selling your ticket without leaving money on the table.

The Bad

  • All Sales Final
  • Service Fees

All Sales Final

StubHub has no refund policy in place for buyer's remorse. Whereas some ticket companies give you a 72-hour grace period wherein you can cancel an order for a full refund, StubHub does not.

However, if your event is canceled and not rescheduled, you will get a full refund.

Service Fees

All good things come to an end when you go to check out. StubHub requires two fees: a service fee and a fulfillment fee. These must be paid for each ticket which can add around $18 to your purchase per ticket.

The Bottom Line

StubHub is a good company to consider for your ticket purchase needs. Whether you are looking for tickets to the big game or to an upcoming concert the experience will be a good one with the FanProtect guarantee, pricing assistant for sellers, and an option to sync your music library to identify concerts of interest. If you’re buying a ticket last-minute this is quite possibly the best company for you!

But keep in mind that all sales are final (with the exception of canceled events), so don’t make a purchase unless you are absolutely sure you want the ticket—or feel confident that you can resell it. Your chances of resale are actually quite good with the resources offered within the StubHub marketplace. Also, be aware of the service fees so that you are not blindsided when you go to buy your tickets. Overall, StubHub is a high benefit, low-risk ticket broker.

Buying tickets on stubhub isn't the greatest experience after you get hit with all of the fees. Selling on stubhub is made simple however, especially in situations, I've had to sell tickets within a couple days of a show. Overall, I'd say if the fees were less, I would rate them much better.

I got tickets for Jon Bellion! I loved how easy it was- but I didn't like how they didn't just send me an e-ticket. I had to use a super old ticket app to download them after purchasing them on the website. It seemed pointless.

Fees are way too high. No reason to charge both the buyer and the seller. Awesome product, but I don't get the value I need and try to avoid buying/selling here when possible.

Stubhub offers tickets for way more than they need to be. Ive spent money on tickets in the nosebleed sections that shouldnt have costed me so much.
