Tony Silver Spring, MD

After giving all of my information to the staffing agency, I was given a day long position. I was told the day before that they needed to cancel me for the position. They told me it was because they "booked too many people". The representative then followed up to offer me a two hour position from home. This position would only pay about $14 an hour. This was given for my troubles. I thought the offer was a bit ridiculous because it would be less than $28 for the work. She told me about this opportunity as if she was being generous. It would especially be a problem after taxes. In my opinion, you should not cancel on a new employer. If anything, you should have told a regular employer not to show up. It doesn't give the best first impression.
