The Good

• Dashboard
• Free services
• Features
• Clientele
• Partners

Iconosquare was created to help users have complete control over just about every aspect of their Instagram, all from one easy-to-use and clean dashboard. Your Iconosquare account will help you promote your Instagram, manage your community, analyze all activity, provide informative statistics, and engage your community with photo contests. Iconosquare is currently being used by over 150,000 brands and has over 7 million users. Their free account does just about everything a consumer could want regarding their personal Instagram account. Their free service is very easy to use and provides consumers with an immense amount of quality information about their Instagrams - and all for free. They offer the following analytic features:

• Tracking new followers / lost followers
• Engagement, content, and follower stats over the last month
• A timeline of your engagement (comments and likes)
• Suggestions on when to post
• Top followers and follower growth
• List of reciprocated relationships
• History of previous posts

Like previously mentioned, many of Iconosquare's clientele have been Fortune 1000 companies. They have worked with large and reputable companies like Coca Cola, Nike, Ford, AT&T, Southwest Airlines, Gap, American Express, Ebay, Starbucks, Victoria's Secret, and more. They are partners with both Hootsuite and Instagramers. Instagramers is basically a major French Instagram network.

The Bad

• Additional fees
• No separate mobile app
• No printable analytics or reports
• Limitations
• Inability to link multiple accounts

There is an upgraded version of Iconosquare called Iconosquare plus. It offers two features: (1) an ad-free interface and (2) automatic daily stats refresh. While the cost of this upgrade is low ($4.90 a month if billed monthly or $2.40 a month if billed yearly), you're only paying for minor features. Many social media tools that you pay for come with more upgrade options (although we should note that many of the features you would want in a social media tool are provided for free). Since Iconosquare is designed to be complimentary with your Instagram app, they do not have a separate mobile app for either iOS or Android at this time. They do not provide printable analytics and reports. However, you can view your personal statistics on their website and have an easy to read snapshot sent to your email, where you can then print it. But they do not do reports that can be exported or translated into an Excel or CSV file. These statistics also cannot be made into PowerPoint presentations. There isn't real time management, brand monitoring, or any type of image storage or editing provided to Iconosquare users. This is for your personal or professional account only. There is not a way to link up multiple pages and/or accounts to your Iconosquare account. Each Instagram account will require a separate Iconosquare account. The experts at TBC have the following concerns about using Iconosquare:

• It's only compatible with Instagram
• No formal reports
• Can only use with one account

The Bottom Line

We recommend Iconosquare to all Instagram users as a great Instagram managing tool. It's free and provides plenty of quality statistics about your personal and/or professional account. There is no reason not to recommend this free service to Instagram users. However, they do not provide any type of social media tools for any other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, and any others. If you are looking for a social media tool to help manage all of your social media profiles, we suggest looking at our top recommended companies.
