The Good

• Free user options
• Free trial on premium memberships
• Great for sharing work

Lafango is concentrated on original work from their users. This makes Lafango an excellent place to share original artwork and photographs since all of the users are sharing and searching for user-generated work. This means you get all of the credit for your post. Lafango lets you organize your media by tag, title, description, and category so you can easily generate interest in your work. Lafango includes all types of media in their site so they have a lot of flexibility on their website; however, with photo sharing you have the options of creating unique image albums and layouts to personalize the presentation of your media. Here are the good features:

• Free user option
• 14 day free trial for premium memberships
• Unlimited uploads (with premium)
• Free Electronic Press Kit creation
• Virtual portfolio layout
• Mobile friendly webpage
• Professional layout
• Files up to 2GB
• Community interaction promoted
• Free contests
• Easy sharing and compatible with most social media sites

Lafango is a great website if you are serious about sharing your talent. Any media content is compatible with the website so you have the flexibility of choosing what you want to advertise about yourself. Lafango has created a professional atmosphere so you can share your photography on a website that is designed to create electronic press kits so you can easily share and promote your work.

The Bad

• Free version is extremely limited
• Can be expensive
• Limited features

Lafango is not a great option for users who are not seriously trying to promote their personal skills or businesses. The free version is extremely limited with only three uploads. That means you have to make an annual payment if you want to create an intricate user profile. Additionally, the cheaper membership (Lite Member) is still extremely limited. Most serious users will have to pay the full $39.95 to get what they are looking for out of Lafango. Here are a few other things Lafango could improve on:

• No photo editing tools
• No options to sell merchandise
• No privacy options
• No mobile app
• No photo syncing options

Lafango is extremely focused on brand building. This means they have a lot of great tools for organization and display. However, Lafango doesn't offer a venue for people to sell items on their website. This would be a great addition since people are promoting their artwork on this website. Lafango does not provide a lot of sercurity. Since EPKs are designed for promotion, your blog can easily be found through a google search.

The Bottom Line

We recommend Lafango as a great option for users who are serious about their brand promotion. If you need a professional atmosphere to create a profile for your photography, then Lafango is the place for you. We do not recommend Lafango to users who are looking for a casual social media site.
