Panopto LMS

The ability to upload both PDF prior, and PowerPoint with tmiing on recording is extremely valuable. Our customers have found the transcription search method is amazing. We have over 1500 webcasts dating back to 2001 we have ported to Panopto for this reason. The search capabilities are superior to others. We were also able to tie into our Institute security systems for authentication. Public downloading of links via RSS in MP4 is valuable for archiving. No need for Flash - HTTP streaming allows all users on desktop and mobile devices to get the webcast or archives.

Panopto is a company that believes in their product and shows it with the incredible support they provide. The Software has a ton of functionality and checks a lot of boxes for what we were looking for in a video creation and management tool. It has also fulfilled our live streaming needs and video quizzing integrated into our Canvas LMS grades. Where it struggles is in making itself intuitive to the end user. The Recorder has incredible capabilities built in but makes it difficult for a first time user or someone that is coming back to it after awhile to record a simple webcam only video. They have made some improvements with a guided tour the first time you open the application and are aware of the issue and given their passion for their product I know they will only improve this piece. Overall I highly recommend the tool as it has provided us with a lot of benefits and they have been a pleasure to work with.

I love how easy Panopto makes it to record lectures. This is very beneficial to me and other college students because professors can record their lectures and post them for review. I use Panopto to catch up if I missed a day of class or I need to review something before the test. I love that I don't have to stress about writing everything down in lectures and worrying I will miss something because it will always be recorded. The video and sound quality have always been good and there haven't been any issues with my lectures.

Panopto is integrated into our VLE and used thoughout our institution. It is also easy to get started creating educational video resources with Panopto's personal capture tools. We have found it to be very reliable and the learning resource it provides and enhancement to our student's experience is invaluable.

We primarily use Panopto for lecture capture and distance learning. Using Panopto for training and meeting recordings is something that we are just starting to leverage. Having a place to centrally store, share and search through videos has been a great value to our institution. Our integration with Panopto to D2L has provided a simple solution for instructors and students to interact 'face-to-face', even if they are located around the world.

Panopto is a very effective and expandable solution for lecture capture within Higher education. We have used it to provide an automated capture solution across our enterprise and feedback from users has been extremely positive.

Panopto has been a great partner to work with. The software is very easy to use and reliable. If an issue ever arises, their support is top notch.
