I live in a rural area, so I have no access to more efficient internet. HN typically has to pause streaming at low resolution. Netflix seldom plays more than 15 seconds without pausing. Two devices at the same time never works. HughesNet is terrible AND expensive!

We found Hughes net work to be one of the worst providers of Internet service ever. They are very expensive for very low megabytes and it’s very hard to cancel your service when it doesn’t work. In my experience with HughesNet work was not a good one, I do not recommend this service ever to anyone.

One of the worst internet companies I haven't ever had the Miss pleasure of dealing with. A knock watch a simple video on Facebook without it stalling and multiple times. I cannot update anything, it reports not connected to the internet, but when you check internet connection it is listed as connected. Tried on my phone, laptop and i-pad.

the only reason I gave a 1 star is because o stars is not an option. Customer service is non existent. spent 3 hours total between chat and phone and did not get the problem resolved. So I am being charged for service not received.

The already slow service becomes unacceptably slow at peak hours, which makes evident that hughesnet has way too many customers: It reminds me of earlier AOL who went bankrupt when consumers discovered that that provider had sold many times more than what their equipment was capable of serving

I pay over 100 a month for a week of terrible service .Companies refuse to put internet out here so we are forced to have to use hughsnet or viasat which is just as bad. Not including I pay for wwe network, peacock, Netflix and hulu. I feel I get better tv with a Walmart antenna...Dont waste ur money

I have been battling them for months to get an unauthorized account out of my name. And they want numbers I can't have because I didn't set up the fake account. Their customer service is terrible and my mom does have their service and it is horrible and internet robbery. Do not recommend Hughesnet!

This company has horrible service, high prices and the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The customer service rep laughs at your concerns, cancels contracts without permission and refuses to assist the customer. I encourage people to find other service for their area!

Most horrible 4 day customer experience ever. Would never recommend to anyone. So, so, very slow. It would take 10-20 minutes just to upload a basic pdf file. I would have to disconnect my wifi on my phone to be able to use it. Customet service is horrific, ad well as the service. If you plan on getting hughes net, DONT!

TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH. Sloooow speeds, terrible customer service, and incompetent technical support. No service guarantee (sell you 25Mbps and you'll be lucky to get 5), yet you are locked in to a two-year service contract. And if you want to cancel, it's $800. Oh, and if it rains ... no service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I was misled by a sales rep into thinking that Hughesnet would work with my company's systems so I could work from home. Then, when it didn't work as advertised, they would not let me out of my 2 year contact but charged me $400.

My experience with Hughesnet is equivalent to trying to enjoy chugging 5 gallons of week old hotdog water. Absolutely awful! If you're thinking about getting this provider spin around and punch yourself in the face and wake up please. No internet is 1000 times better than using this trash they try to sell as internet!

Never worked. Speed is very very slow. Persistent sales people trying to keep you stay by offering discount. Horrible. They want their equipment back. They won't come to get it. They want you to climb to the roof to get the transmitter when your contract expires. Or, they will charge you $300 if you don't sent the equipment back to them.

Nothing good about this company. It's expensive and you are limited each month -- once you are over your data limit, it slows down as though you were using dial up. And Customer Service is also bad. We are limited in terms of the internet provider, as we live out in the country. I wish better service were available to us.

There is nothing about this service that is good. So slow wont load any of my school work, times out every time. Hughes net has upgraded and increased my charges and the service is the same, lousy. I am locked in to their contract and have to drive to public wifi spots to do my school work. Will not recommend them to anyone!!!

Don’t waste your time. Internet was slow or non-existent. An example.. Couldn’t get through a episode on Netflix without 10+ stops to reload. $800 early cancellation fee. If you’re a business, you don’t receive the $200 equipment refund. HughesNet is terrible.

I am 77 and I do not understand the confusing method of their pricing. I have had many internet providers and this company is the most greedy I have ever encountered. I hope they enjoy their spoils. Thank goodness we do not have to judge them. God takes care of that. Remember its only money and if they want it that bad, don't stand in their way

I've had Hughes net for 6 months. My favorite movie was buffered 46 times. We are stuck. I asked for a systems repair man. He said the little spinning dial in the buffering meant a lot of people were watching that show and I should turn it off and try later, then he sold me a internet booster for $129 that helped NOT ! I hate this system.

Their customer service is great. That's the only good thing about it. You almost never get 25mpbs. Daytime data allows some streaming but after 5pm their speeds drop to 8-13mpbs. We can't stream anything at that rate. Sales reps will swear it's perfect for you. They are lying. We have two internet choices. Both waste your money and time.

Having a remote cabin in Alaska we are stuck with using hughesnet, however when we are not at the cabin the generators are turned off as is the modem....now showing we used 8.8gb even though the cabin has been shut down for weeks. Zero starts need to be an option. I can't believe this company is allowed to scam people as they do. They will require a social security number and require a length of service, years, even if youre unsatifies, you can not leave with out paying out a contacted amount of time or they will screw up your credit. buyer beware. Also, this company in not in the US, they use sourced out customer service reps in 3rd world countries...you information is not safe with them!
