The TripHobo platform not only allows travelers to book upcoming hotel reservations, but it also serves as a complete travel planning platform. Those only interested in booking hotels will be able to take advantage of hundreds of thousands of listings in destinations worldwide. These hotel listings often times are featured deals, meaning users can book hotel rooms at a discounted rate for additional savings. For those interested in using the full capabilities of the TripHobo platform (rather than just book hotel accommodations), the process is relatively simple. Upon creating an account, users will simply follow a three-step process that takes the headache out of planning travel:

Designate Destinations - add destinations and the travel dates
Add Attractions - users can choose from thousands of attractions and restaurants
Book Rooms - search, compare, and then book hotels from 700,000 hotels worldwide

Additionally, TripHobo allows users to make and modify travel arrangements from anywhere at any time. With the TripHobo mobile app, users can download the service directly to their iOS or Android device. Users can then view and edit trips as well as start the travel planning process.

Recent Trip Plans

For those who are new to traveling or are looking for a little inspiration, TripHobo has a page designated to displaying recent trip plans and itineraries booked by their customers. These trip plans will help those who may not be aware of all a destination/city has to offer. The planning content will include information about the following:

Attractions
Restaurants
Hotels and Accommodations
Flights
Transportation
Multi-modal Route Planning
Transit Options

When a user creates a TripHobo account (which can be done by using Facebook information or new set-up), they will be able to discover trip plans, plan their trip, and then find the best attractions in the area they travel. Additionally, users can save recent searches or "favorite" certain aspects of a trip or accommodations.

Rewards Program

TripHobo is proud of the fact that they are a "one stop" shop for travel planning and management. The service allows customers to book accommodations and other travel activities, but there is no additional reward for doing so. Other travel booking sites allow travelers to create an account and accumulate points and other travel discounts for booking through them. However, TripHobo does not offer that service at this time.

Features and Tools

There are also a couple of missing features/tools often found on other travel site platforms. These are not necessary to booking quality hotel accommodations, or even finding room for a discounted rate. However, those who find these types of resources helpful may want to try another hotel booking site. These missing features include:

No deals page - users will not have the ability to quickly browse a single page to find the latest deals and discounts
Comparison tool - travelers will also not be able to compare prices from a number of travel providers at once

New to the Industry

TripHobo is a relatively new service. It was officially launched in 2013. This does not mean that the TripHobo service is not as good as those that have been around for a longer period of time, but they have not created the same reputation amongst the travel community just yet.

The Bottom Line

The TripHobo travel planning platform allows prospective travelers to book hotel accommodations at a discounted rate and then manage their entire trip. TripHobo also allows travelers to book tours and other travel activities, but flights will have to be booked separately. Those that use the TripHobo service to book their next vacation can expect the following from the service:

Trip Planning Platform
Book Hotels/Accommodations
Comprehensive Mobile App
Travel Advice/Tips
No Rewards Program

I used Triphobo for booking a guided bicycle trip in Bali. They have a lot of options and I was confused a little bit. Thankfully, I was able to talk to Pushkar from TripHobo. He was very patient and helped me narrow down my choices. The tour that I booked turned out to be a wonderful experience. Didn't have any trouble finding or contacting the operator that was mentioned on my voucher. Had a memorable experience!

I booked three activities on Triphobo for my Europe trip last month. During one activity, the tour operator missed my hotel pickup. I immediately reached out to TripHobo and was assisted by Mandy. Mandy was able to contact the operator and ensure that my pickup was completed before the tour start time. Highly appreciate the quick problem fix. I'd recommend them.
