The Bad

Must Go Through ADT for Some Issues
Only Offers Limited Warranty

Because Zions Security is a 3rd party dealer of ADT products, it is limited in some of the long-term services it can give consumers. Zions Security offers a 90-day service guarantee if the system malfunctions within 90 days after installation. Its professionals will work with you to resolve system issues within this time frame. Issues that occur past the 90-day service guarantee will have to go through ADT to receive services. This may be frustrating to some consumers who would prefer to continually go through the same provider to resolve issues. While the ADT packages offered through Zions Security do provide a lifetime warranty, the warranty is limited. The warranty covers parts and labor with a $25 tip charge. The limited warranty may not cover all equipment costs. Consumers should carefully consider equipment purchases and ensure equipment has a good reputation of reliability before purchasing.

The Bottom Line

Zions Security has a lot to offer consumers in Idaho, Utah, and California. It provides a wide range of equipment options as well as monitoring through a nationally recognized company. Zions Security provides equipment at a fairly low cost accompanied with a great deal of transparency and dedication to customer service. Consumers who would prefer to go directly through the same company for both monitoring and equipment needs may be frustrated by Zions Security's model as a 3rd party provider. Overall, we recommend Zions Security as a great home security option.
