The Armory is a retailer specializing in ammo and accessories, along with a comprehensive stock of firearms available for purchase. They are one of the more flexible companies when it comes to firearm returns. Their prices are slightly higher than many competitors, however, and they don't carry as many brands.

The Good

  • Impressive Gun Accessories Selection
  • Flexible Return Policy

Impressive Gun Accessories Selection

When it comes to gun accessories, The Armory is a great resource. The company stocks tools and gadgets for nearly all firearm types, as well as a few knife accessories for good measure. They also sell reloading equipment, cleaning kits, safety gear, and a variety of bags and cases. You can also buy bulk ammo fairly easily through their online store, or to pick up at their physical location.

Flexible Return Policy

The Armory is thankfully flexible when it comes to returns. They are decent to work with when it comes to returning firearms, a feat that is nearly impossible with certain retailers. You can manage to get a full refund if you return the firearm within 15 days and if you leave it unopened. If opened, you can expect a minimal fee, but you can still return the firearm all the same.

The Bad

  • High Prices
  • Limited Overall Selection
  • Limited Customer Support

High Prices

The Armory's prices aren't the most competitive. They list sales prices for some of their models, but these are still somewhat steep in comparison with other retailers. You won't find a firearm below $300 - at least one that's currently in stock.

Limited Overall Selection

Which brings us to another major problem this retailer has: keeping their stock updated. The majority of their items listed for sale say "out of stock," which certainly makes the shopping experience a little more cumbersome for the consumer. Their overall selection does not include many of today's most popular brands and is limited to only a collection of handguns, rifles, and shotguns.

Limited Customer Support

For those looking to do a little digging to find the perfect gun, you'll find that getting much customer support can be difficult with The Armory. They only list an email address on their website, as well as some directions to their physical location that are difficult to find. There is no listed phone number for those looking for an immediate answer or a trustworthy interaction with a staff member.

The Bottom Line

The Armory has much to improve upon in the way of firearm sales. Their selection is sparse, their prices high, and their online store is riddled with too many "sold outs" to really validate them as an up-to-date gun retailer; however, if you're looking for accessories, equipment, and tools, they're a reliable resource. And even though their customer support may be difficult to get in contact with, their regular customer base is somewhat loyal and pleased with their experiences - you may find their support channels to be sufficient overall.
