Wellbridge was founded in 1983 in Denver, Colorado. Wellbridge (formerly Club Sports International) has managed clubs for some of the country’s top real estate developers, property managers, and financial institutions. The company has developed an exclusive approach to combining fitness and wellness that caters to every way of life. From active kids' programs to executive-style amenities and everything in-between, Wellbridge’s Clubs offer an experience intended to fit each Member's lifestyle. Wellbridge has also been involved in the development of more than 1.5 million square feet of club facilities, ranging in size from 10,000 square foot corporate fitness centers to 200,000 square foot mega clubs. In 1997, Wellbridge entered into a strategic partnership with two investment firms, Chilmark Partners and Starwood Capital Group, to further expand their growth and outreach. Wellbridge recently opened another fitness center, CAC-Union Station, on March 3, 2016.

Equipment
Wellbridge gym members feel that the weight floor is never overly crowded and there are plenty of cardio machines. They also feel the gym's treadmills are excellent with the capacity for a really tall incline. The customers are good about cleaning the machines and everyone is extremely respectful in the locker rooms. The elliptical machines are a little outdated, but many of the treadmills have recently been replaced. Also worth mentioning are the four new indoor cycling-style bikes that have screens where you can actually create your own spinning class, complete with instructor. Also, Wellbridge has a room of mini trampolines. We did not find this to be a common piece of equipment offered at most gyms.Cleanliness
Cleanliness is a top priority for Wellbridge. The gym has a dedicated housekeeping staff that works day and night to make customers feel comfortable. There are always towels and the machines are wiped down after use. In fact, there are clean towels at each machine for members. The locker room facility is always stocked and clean, and has plenty of room.Classes
Wellbridge offers over 75 group fitness classes weekly. Amenities include cardio entertainment, online Member account access, free parties, and a Member Sponsor Program. Another standout benefit is that there are no signups or time limits for the machines. Customers say you can hop on a treadmill and stay for as long as desired without worrying about someone kicking you off after 30 minutes.Other Available Amenities
Other amenities the company offers include an indoor saline pool, a rock climbing wall, a Pilates studio, indoor running track, whirlpool, well-kept locker room/sauna/spa and steam room. There are also other amenities such as waxing services, massage, and other spa services at an additional cost. You don't have to be a member to access the spa services. There are always towels and the machines are wiped down after use. Childcare is a unique feature and we feel this is a bonus point for Wellbridge, especially since their childcare has very flexible hours. The locker room facility is regularly cleaned and well maintained.The Bad

Price and Contracts
While Wellbridge does offer a three-day trial pass, you need to complete a lengthy membership form if you decide to become a member. Important information such as pricing will not be revealed until this form has been filled out and specific preferences selected. We did not find this favorable since most people want to know the membership pricing upfront before investing the time and energy talking to the gym. This "contact us and learn how much it costs" method also makes potential members feel pressured when having to deal directly with a staff person. After more research we found that a day pass is $25 but if you are interested in trying the gym out Wellbridge will give you a free week pass. College Students also get discounts. Monthly memberships start at over $100 per month and new members have to sign a three-month (90-day) contract. In the Atlanta location, the membership fee is $89 per month. This is pricey for most people who may or may not be able to utilize all the classes and perks to make this worthwhile. Some customers were disgruntled due to having to wait-and pay for two-gym memberships-once they decided Wellbridge wasn't for them and signed up somewhere else.Upfront Fees
The question remains whether members have to pay upfront fees when signing up for a membership with Wellbridge. Customers have complained that Wellbridge is too pricey but mainly when it comes to monthly membership fees. And since the gym doesn't disclose its rates without meeting with a representative, one has to go through the sales process to find out. This is very unfavorable while a few gyms do offer their membership pricing on their website.Hidden Fees
Customers should be aware that guests will be charged a guest fee. And a lost membership card will result in a replacement charge. You will not be permitted access to the club without your membership card. Wellbridge also offers childcare for parents coming to work out, take classes, etc. This poses an additional cost.Trainers and Nutrition
Whether your focus is to lose weight, regain flexibility, increase your speed or rehab from an injury, Wellbridge offers both one-on-one and group training with Nationally Certified Trainers. Regarding the other staff, customers have complained Wellbridge is lacking in its ability to build relationships with its members, being very "by the book." Wellbridge's trainers do not seem to provide nutritional coaching, which falls slightly short for those needing to make dietary changes in addition to exercise. We found several major gyms offering a more holistic personal training program involving both nutrition and physical training.The Bottom Line
