The Good

  • Comprehensive package
  • Great features
  • High-level expert analysis
The NFL offers fantasy football fans a comprehensive package to compete with the best of them. This includes an impressive draft center complete with a fantasy draft board, mock draft, draft kit, and both autopick and offline draft options. In addition to these features, users can access player rankings and draft values as they research the best possible draft strategy. Something that sets NFL.com Fantasy Football apart from its competitors it what it offers in terms of prizes for its paid leagues. For a fee, fantasy users can enter to win any of the following:
  • Authentic Game-Used Footballs
  • Signed Footballs and Jerseys
  • Customized NFL Championship Rings
  • Official Game Coins and Officiating Flags
  • And Plenty More . . .
Because the NFL is a major organization that is completely dedicated to professional football, users also have access to a high-level of expert analysis. In addition to the several fantasy blog posts featured on their site, the NFL also sponsors its "NFL Fantasy Live" television shows and podcasts where, in addition to ten fantasy experts, viewers can also receive insight from analysts, former players and coaches, sports journalists, and other industry experts.

The Bad

  • Short time in the business
  • Lacking gameplay
  • Issues with mobile map
That being said, the NFL's fantasy football platform has only been around for about six years; consequently, NFL.com lacks some key gameplay qualities of some of its more experienced competitors. While customers have been generally pleased with NFL.com Fantasy Football, several have run into connectivity and responsiveness issues on the NFL's fantasy football mobile app. And though the app still provides plenty of access to the NFL's vast network of experts, certain gameplay features such as a mock draft are not included, and its live scoring component is slowed by an overabundance of ads.

The Bottom Line

The NFL Network continues to be one of the most reliable sources for fantasy football information and analysis. Its fantasy football products and shows provide users with a set of standard features that fans have come to expect from a reputable fantasy football provider. And though it has not been in the fantasy football game for as long as some of its competitors, the NFL is actively responding to industry trends and customer feedback to provide users with a better fantasy football experience.
