The software allows up to six screenshots per hour, activity tracking, online timesheets, application tracking, and a reporting tool. The free version is also an excellent tool for freelancers as it allows them to show proof of work being done for their clients.
According to Monitask, to use the app, employees or freelancers can invite their manager via email to the company's Monitask team. If one of the companies you work for does not use Monitask, users can easily invite them to join.

Additionally, Monitask does not have a way for companies to pay their remote employees.

Monitask can be installed on either Windows or Mac computers, and all the time-tracking and screenshot data is securely stored and encrypted using 256-bit AES encryption. There is no way to auto-start screenshot monitoring, but this is due to Monitask respecting employees' privacy and allowing them to decide when to turn on and off this feature.
