The Good

• Security
• Free trial
• Additional features

With 24/7 customer support and a 14 day free trial, Ashop Commerce holds consistency by showing passion for how they help online. This eCommerce company doesn't have their own Ashop payment system, but works with 70 different payment gateways to allow purchases to be made securely at anytime.

Security

All Ashop Commerce storefronts are highly secure. Ashop Commerce is certified PCI compliant, and the company hosts more than 1,000 online stores and handles a massive amount of transactions using an approved payment system. Ashop Commerce works with 70 payment gateways, so if you already work with one of the approved sources, transferring your shop to that purchase gateway will be safe and easy to setup. The company also offers a free highly secure SSL certificate to protect customer's information.

Free Trial

The free trial period lasts for two weeks (14 days).

The Bad

• Hidden fees
• Design features
• Product limits
• Metrics

Hidden Fees

There are several hidden fees aligned with this company. It claims to have no transaction fees and that may be true with using Ashop Commerce as your eCommerce platform but a merchant service is required for any kind of eCommerce store which in turn has transaction fees. Ashop Commerce doesn't offer its own merchant service so you will have to find one to use like PayPal or Sage Pay.

Design Features

Each package comes standard with options to help you build you store, but doesn't have all the features included to actually design and support your site for more exposure or marketing. There are tools Ashop Commerce has available to assist in every direction, but extra features generally cost more. Some features may be as little as $2.00 - $5.00, but others may be substantial. Be sure to get accurate pricing for any services you apply to your existing plan. Even though you may expect some features to be standard, many of these will commonly charge more to your bill each month.

Product Limits

Ashop Commerce has a different limit than most other sites will hold. You can only host 500 - 10,000 product max even with their Enterprise plan. Several eCommerce sites will actually allow you to host and unlimited number of products with your plan, but most will only let you post so many (500 - 10,000 products w/ashop) before you reach the hosting limit and are required to increase your monthly plan/hosting.

Metrics

Ashop Commerce claims to have "Awesome Metrics" but we would like to see live demos of how these metrics are "Awesome" as well as for learning how they work and what sets them apart from other metrics features offered by competitors.
