The Good

• City specific
• Preferences considered
• Top brands

Yipit.com offers a unique and personalized deal seeking experience. Everything about the deal finding experience with Yipit is geared towards meeting your likes and needs. A major part of this experience is showing deals that are specific to the user's location. Not only does this provide more usability and consequent value, it also allows more of a discount to be received since many of the deals are from small to mid-size businesses looking to aggressively build their customer base. Not only is the city you live in calculated into your results feed, there are a number other preferences calculated as well. A user is able to choose exactly the types of categories of products they are interested in. This process enhances their deal feeds by leaps and bounds, giving you more of a chance of finding something you are interested in without having to go through the hassle of searching through countless pages. Not only are you able to find local deals that fit your interests, there will also be results from many of the top brands on the market. Some of these companies include but are not limited to Walgreens, Home Depot, Old Navy, and Sears. These brands make it easier for you to find the right deals for your shopping needs.

The Bad

• No alerts advertised
• Lack of transparency

There are a few things that should be considered before making this your one-stop deal hunting solution. A number of online deal sites offer their users with alerts sent either through email or a downloadable application. Yipit.com does not advertise any such service. This is unfortunate since this notification can provide a fast and reliable source of information to help you save more money. It is challenging to find details about their company on the website. A physical address, leadership description leaves potential customers wonder who they are getting their coupons and deals from.
