The Good
- Low APRs
- No annual fees
- Fraud safeguards
Low APRs
Depending on the card, BB&T offers an introductory rate of 0 percent for the first 12 to 15 months. After that, the company's variable rates range from 8.40 to 17.40 percent*, which is a lower range than industry average. No Annual Fees
BB&T does not charge its cardholders any annual fees, which is a nice benefit that can save customers hundreds of dollars each year.Fraud Safeguards
At BB&T, customer security is the highest priority. Because of this, the company offers its cardholders a number of protective features, including zero liability for unauthorized charges, checkout protection, replacement cards or emergency cash in the event of a lost or stolen card, and a security chip. The Bad
- No rewards program
- Late payment penalty
- Foreign transaction fee
- No free credit score tracking
No Rewards Program
Unfortunately, BB&T does not offer a rewards program of any kind to its cardholders, which can be a major deterrent to some consumers because it is considered to be a valuable benefit.Late Payment Penalty
For every late payment, BB&T charges a fee of up to $37.Foreign Transaction Fee
Foreign transactions made with a BB&T credit card will incur a fee of 3 percent of the total charge, which is one of the highest fees in the industry. This fee can be especially inconvenient for those who travel frequently. No Free Credit Score Tracking
Some credit card companies provide their customers with the means to monitor their credit score for free each month. However, BB&T does not offer this feature. The Bottom Line

Interest rate is a little on high side but if you pay it off monthly it's not a big deal. Like that it can tie to everything at the bank

Been using this bank for a while and never had any problems. The app allows you to see all transactions and also great fraud protection as well.

a few years ago I had a house fire and lost all my ID - this bank helped me get new ID and CC and went above and beyond what they needed too.
