Fraudulent VIN report service. They were advertising "Vehicle Service History" as part of their reports on 3/14/2022. However, when I received a report that contained no such information I contact the company for a refund. The next day they removed this reference from their website and it no longer says "Vehicle Service History". Take a look at the WayBackMachine and you can see for yourself! They refused to provide a refund without meeting some ridiculous requirements. However, the requirements they were requiring me to meet were not at all spelled out on their website. I called them out on all of this and they would do nothing. I filed for a charge back through my credit card company and got my money back. Use one of the free VIN checkers online - they will give you all the same information for nothing!

I bought a report from carVertical, to check on a car that had been sold in an auction a few years back. I knew the car had some damage to it back then. I wanted to see the auction pictures to see the extent of the damage, as other relevant data was already known to me (history, etc). After entering the VIN number to carVertical, it showed it will check and show historical images in addition to other data. After purchasing the report, there were unfortunately no photos at all available. This meant I had to buy the report again from a competitor site, that included 10 photos of the car and provided the information I needed. I do understand that sometimes not all data is available for all sites and these things happen, but as a customer I chose carVertical as I had heard good things about them and they had the highest rating compared to their competitors. In my case the report did not give me any value, so it was money wasted for me. When explaining this to carVertical customer support and asking for a refund, their opinion is, that this is not a valid reason for a refund. I am disappointed in the way the customer support handled this case, as I can see now that customer satisfaction does actually not matter to carVertical. If a refund is not possible, even giving a new report voucher for example would help keep the customer happy and turn a negative experience around. Unfortunately even no alternative solution was offered to me.

I ran a report for my car to check the accuracy. You cannot rely on the provided data. My report contains wrong mileage data, data is taken without being verified from obscure car workshops. I contacted the support team but in vain. You will never receive money back for an incorrect or incomplete report. In addition, they will never verify the reality and will not correct the wrong data.

Miladin Malic ,

Report didn't show anything at all. No mileage - no nothing. It's a car made in EU 3 years ago (in 2017) and this site didn't even bring me the correct model information. It says it has a manual transmission while, in reality, it's automatic. But what really made me write a negative review is fact that you have to pay first and then find out Carvertical hasn't got anything at all. That's really scammy.

I've purchased a report which has literally 0 value (no information whatsoever). Tried couple of other car checks - and result is exactly the same. I seriously question if business is legitimate since all the cars I queried are relativelly new in age, have service history etc.

I checked my car VIN, entered it and it said that they found some results, I paid to see it and, to my surprise, they said there's no results! Same VIN, did not do any mistake whatsoever.
