I have tried to reserve cars on CarMax's website, sharing my phone number and e-mail when I do so. CarMax has never once contacted me about the car I wanted to buy. I won't be trying again.

Went looking for a car and no one seemed knowledgeable about the inventory or how to find out when a vehicle listed would be available. They have cars listed but aren’t available. New employees need mentors to help them gain customers.

I recently used CarMax searching for a particular vehicle, make, model, color, trim, package, cost, miles, location. I wanted a specific car. As with other online car search platforms, you get a lot of vehicles that you are not interested in and don't meet your requirements. It seems you are limited to just their vehicles.

I was given a reasonable online offer without the vehicle being seen. My only complaint is that they require you to pay any negative equity before they close the deal.

The experience was good. The valet/sales merchant(s) were nice. I have never bought a car from CarMax. I'm sure it's a great place to buy a car.

Can’t beat the ability to get a price on your trade in and not feel the pressure of having to decide right then. They give you days to decide. It’s great!!!

I do like Carmax, I think it really helps you find the cheapest options but I think that anyone can post on it and I'm not sure I trust everyone who posts.

Great way to search for used cars. You can search by make and model, type, and price. It's an easy way to find the car you're looking for.

The salesman broke his promise to me about the way interest would be charged and the car ended up costing me double what it was worth. I will NEVER buy from there again!

Great cars, a little on the pricey side though but the cars are usually in great condition.

CarMax is very easily the highest priced car finding site. While they advertise some desirable cars, their prices are completely ludicrous!

The price assessment provided by CarMax for used cars was lower than other dealerships, in my experience. The waiting time was also extremely long. Will not choose CarMax.
